“If I could give Galbi Korean BBQ 6 stars, I would.

From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. We went on a Sunday night and expected a wait, it was about 45 minutes but absolutely worth it. We ordered the Chef’s BBQ Combo D, and it was more than enough for all of us to leave completely full. They continuously refilled our sides and sauces, so we were never without anything. Everything felt clean, organized, and really well run.

My personal favourites were the marinated beef short rib, the fresh salad, bean paste soup, scallion salad, and the cheesy corn — all so flavourful and perfectly done.

This is hands down one of the best spots to come with your partner or a group, where you can relax, cook together, and actually enjoy the experience as much as the food. We’ll 100% be coming back. 🔥🥩“

“Came to visit and we ordered three drinks in total. We were helped by a very kind and accommodating employee named Leo. We asked many questions about the menu which he answered patiently and informatively. He even allowed us to sample some of the tea before we purchased our bubble tea's. “This is our first visit to your store. We picked up: red pepper crostata, carrot cake, large Chicken Pot pie, Merry Berry pie and a Caramel Macchiato icebox.
I called the Burnaby store this morning and a lovely lady set aside a Merry Berry pie for me despite it being busy. 🙏🏽 We really appreciated this. With a newborn, we didn't have time to place a pie earlier. Our neighbours really love your pies and shared 2 kinds with us on Halloween (including the Caramel Macchiato cheesecake).
You have a lovely store and nice employees. Prices are on the higher end for pastries and pies.

There was a bit of confusion around the Caramel Macchiato because we asked the lady for the CM cheesecake and were instead given a CM icebox. We only realized this when we were sitting outside in the car.
Just a bit of feedback for the store employee:
If the CM icebox isn't an option listed on your website (yes we checked again), it would be good to clarify if the customer wanted the CM cheesecake or CM icebox. Initially we wanted to return it but we didn't feel great about it likely being tossed out. So we'll give the CM icebox a try. Overall still a good experience given the customer service during the initial phone call. We look forward to trying the other goodies when we get home.“

Get their ‘special’ menu items, it’s genuinely a big cut above standard phó/vermicelli. Had number 37, I’m gonna come back and get it every time (I’m that kind of person). The portion wasn’t big but the amount of meat was generous for the size and the flavour was excellent. Well balanced and spiced and will plenty of veggies to put in as well as garlic and thai chillies on the side. Not greasy, not too salty.
It’s chill in here, I like the decor and the staff are friendly. They give you a good sized pot of tea and in general aren’t going to check up much but that’s okay with me.“

“Small Victory Bakery never disappoints no matter what location you choose to go to. Their drinks, snacks and food are always consistently tasty and fresh. My favorite is their almond croissant. It is definitely entertainment for your taste buds. Staff are always well prepared, quick and kind.“

“I've been coming here for years and it is my favourite dessert place without feeling too guilty about it! Staff are always kind, fast, and efficient. Even when the mall is about to close, they would still take your order and deliver it fast. Love love love this place!“

“Top tier semi hidden bar! It's a bit of a time capsule to an older-Van style, unpretentious sports-bar roadhouse type place. The location is unusual, sort of at the basement of an apartment complex on a road you've never been to before, situated on an urban residential cul-de-sac, giving the bar a sheen of surreality.

With many pool tables, lots of tables, two big screens for 2 different games to watch, and good prices for beer, I'd be here all the time if it was local to me.

Special mention for the food: had the chef's special lasanga last night and it was so good ordered a second dinner to try!

Judging from the crowd, people of all ages who know good spots know this place. Check it out!“

“Typical pub style venue, with what I think are somebofbthe best wings in Burnaby, i.e. large, crispy outside, juicy inside (not those small wings many other places offer). For entertainment they have a pool table andbdart s that get well used. Also have Wednesday Trivia night, and Karaoke Thursday, Saturday and Sunday nights. If you want a decent pub night out with some entertainment, I would recommend!“

“While there’s a lot to like about this Starbs, this morning they were pumping Toxic by Britney Spears and while I agree it’s a hot jam, 5am is not the time for Queen B. I used to take my book with me in the morning with the hope that I could do some reading, but sadly who’s ever choosing the music is still in clubbing mode from the night before on most mornings which doesn’t really set the mood. Missing the old jazz and indie playlists in general from Starbs which were incredibly curated and surprisingly erudite.“

“The rice noodle rolls are freshly made, but you can really taste the rice batter, which gives them a slightly unusual flavor that might not appeal to everyone. Overall, they’re just okay — not bad, but not great either. The Chinese donut isn’t the traditional Cantonese style; it’s more like a piece of fried bread, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

The egg and minced beef congee, however, is smooth, tasty, and well-balanced in flavor. It’s definitely the highlight of the meal and worth a try. Prices are quite reasonable, making it a decent spot to stop by for a comforting bowl of congee.“

Have been there for dim sum lunches and everything is fantastic from the ha gow, chicken feet to their rice bowls.

But it's there dinner menu that really shines.
I highly recommend:
Lobster and Glutinous Rice steamed in leaves
Crab and Fish Maw Soup (Thick and Juicy)
Pea Tips (Glistening from the wok)
Baked Custard Pudding (for Dessert; must be ordered in advance .. but it's to die for!)

“DO NOT COME HERE unless you want to support a cheap company. I work for Door Dash and just finished completing a merchant order from there. I carried 10 heavy boxes of spring rolls to their store on L2 Brentwood Mall. $200 worth of food and $0 tips from them. This is a disgrace and I will never take an order from Will H again at this store. If I can go lower than 1 star I would but Google forces me to give 1. Embarrassing to have restaurants like these exist.“

“I don’t go to Starbucks very often, but last week I decided to go since I was at the mall and there weren’t many people in line. It was me and my girlfriend, and since we didn’t know much about the drinks, we asked the cashier for a recommendation. I don’t remember her name, but she had a Stitch character on her name tag. She was super friendly and patient, asking if we wanted something hot or cold, if we liked sweet drinks or not too sweet, and if we wanted something with coffee or something like tea or another option I can’t remember. Based on our answers, she suggested something she said was very popular there: an iced white mocha with extra chocolate and vanilla cream instead of whipped cream, and caramel on top. My girlfriend and I loved it, and we even ordered the same drink at another Starbucks this week.“

“Upon entering, they have a number system, make sure you grab a number.
The staff here is very very polite and friendly. Our server even asked us if it's our first time here, and what she would recommend. The lunch combos come with a complementry drink. Our drinks were delicious. We didn't drink the majority of it because we didn't want to fill ourselves up before our hotpot.

My friend got the Korean hot pot. It is nicely spiced, exceeds generous in portion and she said she would order this again.
She didn't realize that the hot pot had ramen noodles inside it. This combo comes with a side of rice too. I got the seafood and tofu hot pot. I also didn't realize that it had vermecelli noodles in it, and my combo came with a complementry choice of vermecelli noodles or rice. Word of caution, ask the server if the hotpot has any noodles inside it first, before choosing your complementary side. Also come hungry because it's a whole lot of food. We ended up taking our free beverages with us back to the dog park. It was perfect, no complaints.

Our meals were delicious. My friend loved how they refill our hotpot with broth, and not water. It's a pet peeve we got lol. If your hot pot gets too hot you can ask the server to put out the flame.
Would we come back? Based upon our own experience, we had a great lunch here. So yes.“

“This store was originally crowded, but it got busier after Gilmore closed. Of course, it takes a long time to get the coffee you ordered. If you don't like it, stop complaining and go to McCoffee or Tim Horton. Or there's a Soon coffee on 2nd floor, so please stop whining. Maybe you can blame on the manager who scheduled baristas.“
