She genuinely engaged in conversation & checked on us regularly providing a hot water top-up. The food was delicious with plenty of variety & options. The atmosphere is choice, and the delightful hostesses will do their best to accommodate. The inside window tables have excellent garden views.

On this vacation to Victoria, we visited Butchart Gardens five of the days and dined at the Dining Room all five days.

“Benjamin’s Cafe is one of the best places for Filipino food. We ordered the bulalo platter, and it was absolutely delicious—rich, flavorful, and comforting. We also tried their new Chami Tamis Anghang, and it was so yummy with just the right balance of sweetness and spice. The service was excellent, and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. “We have been to this wonderful restaurant several times and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our order. We especially enjoy the PAAPRI CHAAT, a unique starter...we had never had this before visiting Turmeric, so it's our special treat when we go. It's quite filling. “Went out to have coffee with my parents on a Sunday afternoon (March 8, 2026), we had a long conversation and accidentally stayed past closing as we lost track of the time. The staff member was super nice, they didn't say anything and they began the closing ritual of cleaning and shutting down equipment, we finally noticed and figured out they were closed, we apologized for staying past, and they were absolutely lovely about it, so huge kudos for nice people behind the counter.

Everyone's drinks and treats were very good too, I had an Orange Pekoe tea, I have come to expect tea to be an afterthought in cafes but it was exceptional here, the teabag was a disposable manually loaded deal and the tea was of an excellent quality so major kudos there as well.

My father's coffee was well made and he enjoyed it greatly, and my mother's hot chocolate was splendid.

The atmosphere was very nice, I will definitely visit again!

“Okay this is my first time leaving a review this place is really amazing and I'm not just saying that the staff and the manager are great the food is pretty damn good specially the donors cuz usually I go for the pizzas cuz their pizzas are phenomenal and whatever you guys ask for they do it up for you I've been with the gorge one for 6 plus years off and on and now I'm at the quadra Street and the staff is really nice there too. I think a lot of people should try out this place the one on quadra Street and Gorge and you're really get bang for your buck I noticed even their pastas really good too and they have delivery or you can go pick it up and they have pretty good prices too. Well I hope everybody has a wonderful day or at least try to.“

“Came in for my birthday meal a few days ago and it couldn’t have been better! We started with some bellinis which were delicious. The spinach and artichoke dip is 10/10. I got the Chicken Alfredo and my husband got the steak and everything tasted amazing. Our server Lacey was lovely and made my birthday feel very special, and even brought out a dessert for me. Definitely will be back !“
