“A genuinely lovely high tea experience. What stood out immediately was how thoughtfully they are to accommodated dairy allergies. Something many places still overlook or handle poorly. The interiors are elegant without feeling forced, and the overall atmosphere makes it easy to settle in and enjoy the experience.

The high tea itself was well-executed: balanced, visually appealing, and, most importantly, genuinely delicious rather than just decorative. It’s clear there’s attention to both detail and guest experience here.

She genuinely engaged in conversation & checked on us regularly providing a hot water top-up. The food was delicious with plenty of variety & options. “Having worked in some of Victoria's premier top tier restaurants in the 80's in my previous career, I am able to recognise dining excellence. This is exactly what I experienced at Il Terrazzo a few days ago. Everything was excellent. The flavour in the dinners I experienced was truly next level, high end dining. Our waiter David was the consummate professional, offering excellent recommendations, paying attention to every detail, and never left us waiting for anything while simultaneously managing to be wholly unintrusive. Even the bus person who cleared our table knew all etiquette, had clearly been taught how to do the job with excellence. Moreover, I feel the need to comment on the portion sizes, they are truly generous. This is often not the case in high end restaurants. Despite being a very upscale restaurant, with a price point that is in line with this, the value proposition remains excellent due to the incredible flavours, texture, and food quality. Big shout out to the kitchen staff, we will be back to enjoy more of their amazing menu.“

We especially enjoy the PAAPRI CHAAT, a unique starter...we had never had this before visiting Turmeric, so it's our special treat when we go. It's quite filling. “So, this was a take a picture before I ate fail; I even forgot to take a picture of my empty tray. But thankfully, there were some very kind people at Wheelies who allowed me to take a shot of another sandwich before it went out to the customer who ordered it.

I had their special and it was delicious. A masterfully creative play on a Big Mac (my inference - apologies if I got that wrong). It was supremely satisfying and a flavour explosion. So many things on their menu look absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and work my way through it, and also their cocktails menu.

I'm gonna give a special mention to Working Culture who pointed me in the direction of Wheelies. They were on my to patronise list for today as I continued my search for amazing sandwiches, but alas, they were out. I'll pre-order next time.

“This has been my favourite coffee shop for a long time, and it just got even better now that they’re open on Friday and Saturday evenings.

During the day, it’s my go-to spot for excellent coffee and one of the best breakfast menus around. Everything is consistently fresh, delicious, and made with care, and the staff always make you feel welcome.

The new evening service is fantastic. The food is absolutely delicious, the wine selection is great, and the cocktails are beautifully crafted. The atmosphere transforms into the perfect place to relax with friends, enjoy a date night, or simply unwind after a long week.

It’s rare to find a place that does both breakfast and evening dining so well, but they have nailed it. Highly recommend, whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee or spending the evening enjoying great food and drinks.“

“Have had sandwiches and baking during the day before and all was wonderful. The porchetta sandwich was ahmazeballs. Finally got in for dinner tonight. Absolutely top shelf experience. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and subtle. I had the ling cod croquette appetizer: texture super smooth and the pickle sauce was perfect. For a main I had the rolled turkey with rhubarb, fiddle heads and turnip. Beautiful plating and the dish was delicious. The rhubarb was very subtle and tender and turkey was juicy and flavourful. Desert was the brûlée tart with rhubarb sorbet. Again delicious. If only we lived closer this would become a frequent special event restaurant. 100 percent, you should try it. If you are heading to the ferry, try and take the time to sample this hidden gem.“

“A very lovely place that I’m glad is in the downtown area. I haven’t tried all of their options, but their Onigiri is very well-prepared and the only thing I find myself eating if I need a quick lunch. Fairly priced, too, making going there often affordable.

Their imported items are amazing and vast in terms of what they have, along with having an array of great-tasting items. Their canned coffee is a personal favourite of mine. To mention, their staff is incredibly hospitable and helpful, and, at least from what I’ve personally experienced, have a stellar memory when it comes to regulars.
