“My husband and I absolutely enjoyed this beautiful garden. The views from our tea experience were lovely. We got to see part of the rose garden as well as the Italian garden and the water. The location is absolutely beautiful. We thought the tea was a very good value. The sandwiches were delicious. The desserts were phenomenal. The service was also pretty good. We had tea at the Empress Hotel later on that evening and this tea experience was a pretty comparable experience. “

“We arrived for high tea to celebrate my friends birthday. Seated at a perfect table on the patio over looking the Italian gardens. Our server was lovely. Kept us informed of all of the delightful offerings. We are so grateful to live near this world renowned garden. The high tea did not disappoint from the presentation to the flavours. All of us were so pleased. We will return with more friends and tell everyone about our fabulous afternoon. A stroll in the gardens after topped it off to be a fantastic day.“

“A Drunken CPA I know went yesterday for dinner. Service (Michael) was fantastic. They were absolutely slammed. He said they do 400-450 people a night in the summer. You didn’t feel it though. No rushing you. Pacing was great for date night. Really good wine list to boot.

Highly recommend it for anyone who hasn’t gone.

“Came here at just after 4pm today on a whim. Clearly we hadn’t checked their opening time ahead of our visit and when we rolled up it was closing. However as we were planning our next move their finance guys happened to be leaving and asked if we would like to be servers some whiskey and beer. Of course we said yes! He opened everything back up for us and proceeded to served some samples and a tasting flight. Then he gave us a little tour of the back. Clearly MacAloney’s finance guy cares about the bottom line because we bought a few bottles. But more than that he cares about service and keeping customers happy. What a great afternoon and what a great place! Oh and their whiskey is fantastic too.“

“We were there for dinner and had chicken lababdar and lamb vindaloo with some heat, along with rice and garlic naan. Both meals were delicious and had a good amout of heat (both milder and hotter options were available). The service was attentive and very friendly with our server taking time to discuss options. Staff (owner?) and our server both asked how our food was. All in all it was an excellent and pleasant meal. I will definitely go back.“

“Heard about this place awhile ago from 365prowrestling since they occasionally do live pro wrestling events here.

Originally went months ago on a Saturday afternoon but it was packed and too crowded to even be able to look around at all the unique crazy spectacular decor or to take photos since too many customers were there.

Kept seeing 5 star reviews so decided to finally go back and try the food this time.

Went on a weekday afternoon. Very quiet and relaxed this time with tons of empty tables and I was able to actually look around at everything this time.

My latte was in a huge Mug and over flowing in a good way. The server did an awesome job of bringing it to my table without spilling it since it was full to the max.

The Brisket sandwich I ordered was massive. I managed to finish most of it. Very tasty and I added the Hotwheels sauce they had on my table.

Awesome presentation and taste. Massive sandwich and they had the knife 🔪 sticking out of it.

Was definitely worth the price and I'll be coming back again to try another unique item to feast on in the future.

After my meal I was extremely full and totally stuffed but managed to look around in the cool gift/merchandise shop they have.

The service was attentive, knowledgeable and subtle. I had the ling cod croquette appetizer: texture super smooth and the pickle sauce was perfect. For a main I had the rolled turkey with rhubarb, fiddle heads and turnip. Beautiful plating and the dish was delicious. The rhubarb was very subtle and tender and turkey was juicy and flavourful. Desert was the brûlée tart with rhubarb sorbet. Again delicious. If only we lived closer this would become a frequent special event restaurant. 100 percent, you should try it. If you are heading to the ferry, try and take the time to sample this hidden gem.“

“It was an honor and privilege to be the VERY FIRST guests to this brand new Cidery tasting room!! Great selection of ciders and the flight consists of four ciders…you choose. I highly recommend this wonderful family owned business. Outdoor space is lovely with some cornhole and Jenga thrown in. So worth a quick drive from Victoria. Don’t miss some great cider!“

“Phillips is a brewery in Victoria. It's easy to get to and this part of town has parking available in plenty of spots. It's pretty big and has a few dozen tables inside plus an outdoor seating area. They have plenty of beers on tap plus canned ones as well, on top of a merch shop in the front. They have windows so you can view the actual brewery which is cool. The staff here are awesome, very friendly and fun to chat with. This is a solid spot to grab a beer with friends or even some food, which they have a decent sized menu with good portions for a solid price.“

“A very lovely place that I’m glad is in the downtown area. I haven’t tried all of their options, but their Onigiri is very well-prepared and the only thing I find myself eating if I need a quick lunch. Fairly priced, too, making going there often affordable.

Their imported items are amazing and vast in terms of what they have, along with having an array of great-tasting items. Their canned coffee is a personal favourite of mine. To mention, their staff is incredibly hospitable and helpful, and, at least from what I’ve personally experienced, have a stellar memory when it comes to regulars.
