Many thanks to the kitchen for consistently creating outstanding entrees, deserts, and tea services.
Service teams were mostly exceptional - especially Arden, Sean, and Neda.

The atmosphere is choice, and the delightful hostesses will do their best to accommodate. The inside window tables have excellent garden views.

On this vacation to Victoria, we visited Butchart Gardens five of the days and dined at the Dining Room all five days.

She genuinely engaged in conversation & checked on us regularly providing a hot water top-up. The food was delicious with plenty of variety & options. “We have been to this wonderful restaurant several times and each time we have thoroughly enjoyed our order. We especially enjoy the PAAPRI CHAAT, a unique starter...we had never had this before visiting Turmeric, so it's our special treat when we go. It's quite filling. I was thrilled to walk in a bakery that's 100% vegan and absolutely loved everything, from their coffee to food, to the friendly service and the atmosphere. “So, this was a take a picture before I ate fail; I even forgot to take a picture of my empty tray. But thankfully, there were some very kind people at Wheelies who allowed me to take a shot of another sandwich before it went out to the customer who ordered it.

I had their special and it was delicious. A masterfully creative play on a Big Mac (my inference - apologies if I got that wrong). It was supremely satisfying and a flavour explosion. So many things on their menu look absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and work my way through it, and also their cocktails menu.

I'm gonna give a special mention to Working Culture who pointed me in the direction of Wheelies. They were on my to patronise list for today as I continued my search for amazing sandwiches, but alas, they were out. I'll pre-order next time.

“This has been my favourite coffee shop for a long time, and it just got even better now that they’re open on Friday and Saturday evenings.

During the day, it’s my go-to spot for excellent coffee and one of the best breakfast menus around. Everything is consistently fresh, delicious, and made with care, and the staff always make you feel welcome.

The new evening service is fantastic. The food is absolutely delicious, the wine selection is great, and the cocktails are beautifully crafted. The atmosphere transforms into the perfect place to relax with friends, enjoy a date night, or simply unwind after a long week.

It’s rare to find a place that does both breakfast and evening dining so well, but they have nailed it. Highly recommend, whether you’re stopping by for your morning coffee or spending the evening enjoying great food and drinks.“

“Have had sandwiches and baking during the day before and all was wonderful. The porchetta sandwich was ahmazeballs. Finally got in for dinner tonight. Absolutely top shelf experience. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and subtle. I had the ling cod croquette appetizer: texture super smooth and the pickle sauce was perfect. For a main I had the rolled turkey with rhubarb, fiddle heads and turnip. Beautiful plating and the dish was delicious. The rhubarb was very subtle and tender and turkey was juicy and flavourful. Desert was the brûlée tart with rhubarb sorbet. Again delicious. If only we lived closer this would become a frequent special event restaurant. 100 percent, you should try it. If you are heading to the ferry, try and take the time to sample this hidden gem.“

I highly recommend this wonderful family owned business. Outdoor space is lovely with some cornhole and Jenga thrown in. So worth a quick drive from Victoria. Don’t miss some great cider!“

Their own beef and perfectly cooked local bacon, I’m sure the produce is from their farm as you can taste each individual component. “Great service from the friendly staff! The tasting room was very clean. Their beers are amazing and the merch selection is really great too. I went here at non-peak hours (weekday afternoon) so might not be the best metric for a busy weekend night but I was very impressed!“

“A very lovely place that I’m glad is in the downtown area. I haven’t tried all of their options, but their Onigiri is very well-prepared and the only thing I find myself eating if I need a quick lunch. Fairly priced, too, making going there often affordable.

Their imported items are amazing and vast in terms of what they have, along with having an array of great-tasting items. Their canned coffee is a personal favourite of mine. To mention, their staff is incredibly hospitable and helpful, and, at least from what I’ve personally experienced, have a stellar memory when it comes to regulars.
