“Although I am not exactly the target audience for an English Tea room, I have to say that Butchart far exceeded any expectations! Although we have been to the Gardens many times over the last 4 decades, this is the first time that my wife suggested that we take “High Tea” before our stroll through the amazing gardens... And of course it proved to be a wonderful idea as I relished every bite and sip (we also had the 3-glass “taster” which paired with the food nicely)... I will absolutely be taking tea on our next visit!“
“Such a special place. So great to see a place that maintains the art and spirit of craft beer instead of slinging fruit slurry IPAs in a nightclub setting. The artful hop selection and creativity behind the different brew styles coupled with the quiet, cozy and unpretentious atmosphere against a backdrop of communal nature really captures the west coast spirit. I absolutely love it here.“

“It is a bit out of the way, but definitely worth the stop. If you're headed to the ferry or airport, you should take a little detour for a pre-departure meal or snack. Their specialty lattes are great and I'm sure all the other pastries are good. I only ever get the vanilla custard Danish and I'm never disappointed. If you go in the summer they also have in-house refreshers as well which are also very good. If they break into charcuterie it would be a perfect place for me, at least.“
“Though the wines are not really to my liking (I prefer reds) they were great white wines! The vineyard itself is stunning! You can bring your own food, I love to pair my own food with wines. I got a flight for 14$ (the pours were quite generous) and then paired my own food with the coriolis for a very decent price (8$). The picnic area especially the herb garden is stunning. We biked up from shingle Bay, it's a long climb (about 250 meters) but an amazing ride!“

“Had great service and mighty fine food, not to mention the great view! I had the chicken quesadilla and it was excellent, my husband had the pulled pork sandwich on a gf bun, he said it was delicious. We definitely recommend this great little spot on the water!“

“We drive from Victoria just for the halibut and chips. It is definitely worth the drive. Owners and staff are all very friendly and the service is top notch. The desert, Malva, is mouthwatering delicious, an absolute delight to dive into.“
