“High tea was perfect in all regards. Excellent service, beautiful setting, and unique sandwiches and dessert items. Pricey, but lived up to high expectations for a special experience where you can then also walk through the beautiful gardens.“

“I dislike all drinking teas, so have coffee with my afternoon tea. I commented to out server, that it would have been much preferable to have coffee served in an individual French Press, rather than from a thermos (not great coffee). Also, it is much "classier", in keeping with the overall experience.“

“Receptionist and chefs were too good. We went right before kitchen closing but they served us with Happy face. If your planning to go for lunch please go before 3pm.

They were good enough to ask the spice level. We asked for high and they prepared accordingly.“

“So, this was a take a picture before I ate fail; I even forgot to take a picture of my empty tray. But thankfully, there were some very kind people at Wheelies who allowed me to take a shot of another sandwich before it went out to the customer who ordered it.

I had their special and it was delicious. A masterfully creative play on a Big Mac (my inference - apologies if I got that wrong). It was supremely satisfying and a flavour explosion. So many things on their menu look absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and work my way through it, and also their cocktails menu.

I'm gonna give a special mention to Working Culture who pointed me in the direction of Wheelies. They were on my to patronise list for today as I continued my search for amazing sandwiches, but alas, they were out. I'll pre-order next time.

“Very impressed with the whole experience. Reagan did a great job of passing on interesting information on their brewing and distilling process and kept it fun and engaging throughout. Our group was quite surprised by the quality of their whiskey products. We bought two bottles and will be purchasing more in the future. I can't recommend this activity enough.“

“Have had sandwiches and baking during the day before and all was wonderful. The porchetta sandwich was ahmazeballs. Finally got in for dinner tonight. Absolutely top shelf experience. The service was attentive, knowledgeable and subtle. I had the ling cod croquette appetizer: texture super smooth and the pickle sauce was perfect. For a main I had the rolled turkey with rhubarb, fiddle heads and turnip. Beautiful plating and the dish was delicious. The rhubarb was very subtle and tender and turkey was juicy and flavourful. Desert was the brûlée tart with rhubarb sorbet. Again delicious. If only we lived closer this would become a frequent special event restaurant. 100 percent, you should try it. If you are heading to the ferry, try and take the time to sample this hidden gem.“

“Really comfortable brewery/distillery to stop in and grab a pint and a bite. The beer selections i had was delicious and refreshing. Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

“2nd time at Emmalines and it did not disappoint. Arguably one of the best meals I’ve had in Victoria. Beats out Victoria’s top restaurants (…I’ll Terrazo, Marilena, Wind Cries Mary… etc). Everything tastes fresh, home cooked, and cooked with love. Shared the steak platter, side salad, and the delicious sticky toffee pudding while listening to live jazz music tonight. Can’t wait till the next time.“

“Always an amazing experience to enjoy brunch in the gardens at Charlotte and the Quail. The service is fantastic and they are so good about all my food allergies, I even get dessert! The brownie and carrot cake are delicious 😋 and gluten free!!“

“Amazing place! amazing beer! Amazing people! We don’t usually drink beer, and we enjoyed the beer and food so much, after a long bike ride, so we went back for a second time in a week. As we were enjoying the good tasting beer, my husband dropped and lost his wedding band under the terrasse floor. As we’re looking for it, the staff came, they removed a long wooden piece of the floor so we can look for it, and they found it!!! We are blessed to have met those nice people! Thank you, thank you, thank you!! You’ve made an incredible difference 🙏🙌

I have had other mango wheat beers from different breweries and this was by far the best one. Clearly the brewer knew what they were doing with this one. The rest of the beer is very good too!“

“We had a great lunch here in Boomtown’s lovely garden area. The day was gorgeous, food was delicious and we were thrilled that they had so many gluten free options for my wife to choose from. They even have a dedicated fryer! The totchos are fantastic as is the charred corn salad but do not miss the GF donuts! They were freshly prepared and covered with a decedent salted caramel sauce. Outrageously good! The service was excellent and we will definitely be making Boomtown a regular stop for us.“

“Amazing hidden gem for donair. They are huge which is great for leftovers. I’ve been missing donair from Nova Scotia and the flavour is awesome. It really hit the nostalgic spot! “Found this bar by chance and what a good find it was.
If you want sport plenty of screens to watch, music, good food and top selection of drinks. The bar owner came over to chat as he realised we were out of town. Made us really welcome and gave us a list of places to try the following day. We did return again for a few more drinks and bar food.
Would love to revisit and make use of the large outside seating area and watch Victoria go by.
