“Seriously the best tofu scramble I’ve ever had; just the right amount of spice. Hardest part was walking past all the delicious donuts,scones and baked goods to order breakfast first. We got some sweet treats to go. The staff were super friendly and accommodating. They made special pancakes for the 2 yr old we were traveling with. I would eat there every day if I could. “Receptionist and chefs were too good. We went right before kitchen closing but they served us with Happy face. If your planning to go for lunch please go before 3pm.

They were good enough to ask the spice level. We asked for high and they prepared accordingly.“

“I was visiting from the mainland and did some research to find a good coffee spot and let me tell you, Union Specific did NOT disappoint. My iced latte was hands down one of the best I’ve ever had, the quality of the coffee is just pure magic.

On top of that, I’m a huge BLT lover, and this place has the best BLT I’ve ever had. The ingredients are fresh, the bread perfectly toasted, and every bite was incredible. Their sweets are divine too, I had the berry white chocolate scone and it was absolutely delicious.

I was so excited to come back the next day for another coffee and BLT, but I realized they’re closed on Sundays 😭. Ever since then, I’ve been planning my next trip just so I could visit twice this time. Unfortunately, because they close early and my ferry was late, I didn’t make it on Friday as I’d hoped. My only wish is that they were open later and on Sundays so I could selfishly enjoy it even more!

They will always be my first stop whenever I visit Victoria. I can’t recommend Union Specific enough if you love coffee, BLTs, or just amazing treats, you need to go.“

“Not a big spot - but loved this combo brewery and distillery! Laid back atmosphere, good brews, and high end cocktails. The staff were so kind and though they have no alcohol free options - the bar tender whipped me up the most amazing impromptu mocktail. We had fun here and will come back as soon as we can!“

“So, this was a take a picture before I ate fail; I even forgot to take a picture of my empty tray. But thankfully, there were some very kind people at Wheelies who allowed me to take a shot of another sandwich before it went out to the customer who ordered it.

I had their special and it was delicious. A masterfully creative play on a Big Mac (my inference - apologies if I got that wrong). It was supremely satisfying and a flavour explosion. So many things on their menu look absolutely outstanding. I can't wait to go back and work my way through it, and also their cocktails menu.

I'm gonna give a special mention to Working Culture who pointed me in the direction of Wheelies. They were on my to patronise list for today as I continued my search for amazing sandwiches, but alas, they were out. I'll pre-order next time.

Our first time there and we were served by chef and owner, Elizabeth, who could not have been more welcoming and engaging. The venue is simply lovely and inviting. The food was spectacular. We sampled the Happy Hour tomato pie as an appetizer and then shared the fresh sheet board with a delicious and perfectly cooked sliced steak and garlicky, buttery spaetzle. We finished with the chocolate cherry bread pudding. Since the menu changes daily, we will go back over and over. A local business that we, Victoria peeps, must support!“

“Really comfortable brewery/distillery to stop in and grab a pint and a bite. The beer selections i had was delicious and refreshing. Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

“We celebrated a friend’s birthday tonight at Glo Restaurant + Lounge, and it was such a fantastic experience from start to finish. The food was absolutely incredible. The service made the night even more special. The seater/greeter was so warm and welcoming right from the start. Our server, Kaitlyn, was amazing in every way.
