“If you looking for your first epic Pho experience this is your place. This location provides a pleasing experience for diners looking to enjoy a full meal. The combination of great food, friendly staff, and cozy atmosphere make it an ideal place to unwind and satisfy your hunger.“
“good variety of healthy vegetables such as kale, bok.choy, broccoli, carrots, zucchini cauliflower, etc delicious with the different sauces & it is all freshly cooked ! I had the Sakura pork & my hubby the AAA certified Angus beef Highly recommend this place“
“Always love to go for fish or squid cake noodle with lots of herbs and now price is abit high than before ($17+ per bowl) and the big plate of chicken wings is yum too.Vegetarian options: They have veggie soup if you want.Kid-friendliness: Spacious for scroller and comfy restaurant“
“CLOUD 9 DELICACY (Richmond)so this place had 4.6 stars on google! I HAD to try it!!! A hole in the wall joint with above average ratings!!!Unfortunately it does not live up to its 4.6 stars. Maybe 4.0 stars at the most!So firstly, when you arrive, they have like 50+ items on the menu. When I tried to order, they told me that today I could only order from the Chefs Special menu which had maybe 8 items on it. UGH! Thankfully the popcorn chicken on rice was on my radar...The portion was MASSIVE! Definitely a win for best value. BUT is it the best Taiwanese popcorn fried chicken? Nope. CHJ Bistro beats it in terms of quality and taste. Will I come back here again? Hmmmm maybe just to try another dish, but definitely not a place I would frequent.“
“Love the unlimited noodles refills. Just wish they provide extra soup as well! Although the food is good, I honestly feel guilty when eating here because the restaurant is doing so much harm to the environment by using plastic bowls, paper cups, wooden chopsticks, etc for dine in customers. I really wish they can change that soon.“
“Always loved their beef noodles! They have the best soup base in all of lower mainland imo! This time I also tried Salt and pepper fried chicken, braised pork belly rice Bento, red chilli wonton noodles and shrimp dumplings. Chicken and pork belly was outstanding! Wonton noodles and dumplings were just OK. Can't wait to be back!“
“This restaurant offers authentic flavors with generous portions, even providing complimentary extra noodles. Our family of four comes every Tuesday, availing the member discount for two bowls (second one half-price). Adding an extra portion of noodles, the total is around 30 dollars. Highly recommend the lamb soup, tripe, flower jelly chicken, and pepper pig stomach noodle. For dinner, you can park on the second floor in the designated spaces for company vehicles; it's unmonitored after office hours.“
“Came here from the amazingly high google reviews and this place did not disappoint. Had their Xiao Lun Bao and Beef noodle soup. On the corner of the kitchen there's a little old lady making the baos by hand. Each were amazingly done and food came super quick after ordering. It is cash only so be prepared. Really good authentic food. Will definitely return.Parking: Parking is horrible in the parking lot. I parked on School ave near safeway and there were ample free parking. No time limit.“
“I was recommended this place by a few friends, and I have to say it was one of the better rice rolls I've had. The layers of the rolls are very thin and fresh. We got the beef, pork, and shrimp roll, chopped scallop rice roll, and a congee.I enjoyed the beef pork shrimp rice roll, which was tasty. The meat was nice and soft. The scallop roll pieces however were a bit small and hard to pick up with the roll.“
“Came here to try the clay rice pot. I’ve never had a clay rice pot before. It definitely had a nice home-cooked meal type feel but it also didn’t stand out enough to me to be worth the price it was. The bottom was crispy which I enjoyed but in the end I feel like I was underwhelmed. Probably wouldn’t venture out this far to go to somewhere like this as there are probably other similar places around in other neighborhoods.“
“Ordered take out here for the first time. Easy to order over the phone. Pick-up was exactly what time they estimated. There was parking in the back where the entrance is accessible on the side of the building. Restaurant was full at 7:30. Patrons were very diverse. It's not fine dining inside but it looked very clean including the glance I had into the back. I ordered sweet and sour pork and beef fried rice noodle. The portion size was good (decently filled to fit the container). I frequently order these dishes at other restaurants and can say they were nicely done. I'd say the value is on par to other similar establishment if not slightly less expensive. The discount for pick-up was also nice. I think this might be my new go-to rather than trekking it to Fraser Street.“
“Hong Phat is a great restaurant for South Vietnamese (Do not get it mixed up with North Vietnamese Pho as it is very different style) comfort food. I was introduced to this place by my girlfriend and we go there once in a while to enjoy their food. Had a chance to try their new menu today and they added a few new items on there. As always, it was a pleasant meal. The staff overall is very courteous and helpful when taking order and helping out. Highly recommended for lunch/brunch for a good price in the current economy! The Salted Caramel Coffee is a MUST HAVE for those who are coffee drinkers! It is a great combination of the South Vietnamese coffee robusta beans with a nice layer of salted foam on the top. Great balance of the coffee.“
“Ramen restaurant on Alexandra Rd that’s been there for many years now. Broth is rich and super filling. The original broth is very flavorful that you can drink most of it but the spicy broth called Rcmp lacks the same flavorfulness so don’t recommend drinking it.“
“I can't say enough about this amazing jewel of a restaurant. Fresh cut noodles, pulled noodle from the broths to the fried its all amazing!! Then the pork dumblings and the lamb dumplings are so fresh and beautiful. It's authentic and delicious - if you like mild to hot, try this place as soon as possible. Most certainly on my top 5 list in new west and im a trained chef.“
“Absolutely incredible dining experience! The food at Shanghai River is simply exceptional. From the perfectly crispy Peking duck to the savory xiao long bao, every dish is bursting with flavor and authenticity. The ambiance is inviting and the service is top-notch. Whether you're craving traditional Shanghai cuisine or looking to explore new flavors, this restaurant is a must-visit. Can't wait to come back for more!“
“I haven’t ever been so happy with a Chinese restaurant from the bottom of my heart! They deserve a 5 star, becauseVERY GOOD FOOD + REASONABLE PRICE + GREAT SERVICE! What else can you ask for?We had a group of 4, and we all had a very pleasant experience here! It’s our second time returning, and this is a real HIDDEN GEM in Richmond! We ordered a beef ribs pot! HOLY COW!! The beef was so soft and tender, literally falling off the bones effortlessly. ALSO! The spice and the flavors are on point!! We ordered the mildest spice level, although it was still on the very spicy side for a couple of us and we couldn’t eat it, the flavors were so good!! They have very good service and adjusted the spice level for us and gave us free dessert.Overall, we were very happy with all the dishes that we ordered! Oh, for the desserts, make sure you order the brown sugar mochi (super crispy) and the yogurt donuts (the yogurt filling inside is mind-blowing!)“
“Super tasty claypot (potted rice) place inside the Yaohan food court. Parking is plentiful in the Yaohan lot. I actually came here expecting to try the noodle soup, but noticed everyone was ordering claypots. Time to give that a go. The claypots are custom made to order, so they do take about 15 minutes. The claypots are oh so pretty. See photo. They can do various levels of spicy, which is really just different levels of chopped jalapenos and chilis. Definitely quite a bit of kick. The combo comes with a bowl of soup, a dish of pickled beans, and some dipping sauce for the meat chunks. The rice is crispy but not burnt. They get it just right. Special mention. I'd gladly eat here again. Recommended.“
“A decent spot. We tried the R1 cheung fan with beef shrimp and chive, S26 braise beef lo mein, and hk milk tea.The cheung fan was a little over steamed but the flavour was quite tasty. The braised beef lo mein was actually really good and I'd come back just for this. The noodles were a perfect balance of soft and chewy and the meat was very tender. The hk milk tea tasted powdery and was hard to mix to a good consistency to enjoy.“
“I ordered a bowl of kidney noodles and Wenzhou meatball soup. Among other things, the kidney noodles taste quite authentic for a new Hangzhou native like me! The only drawback is that there are not enough service staff. I saw some customers waiting for a long time before ordering their food.“
“Been coming here since forever. Simply no frils pho place. Excellent broth and serving. Service fast and efficient. Old reliable as they call it. Prices have remained good thru the years. Place is always tidy and washrooms clean. Family run place and everyone helps out. Good clientele across cultures. I always repeat! Cheers! Happy eating!“
“31 Jan 2024Since this was the closest Pho restaurant to my residence, I decided to finally dine there for the first time.Even though I may have ordered a bit too much for my appetite, the food, especially the spring rolls, were very delicious. The server was also nice and we had a good chat. The atmosphere was great as well: the interior was reasonably spacious and customers coming & leaving gave the place a good & busy ambience.“
“I like the texture of the rice noodle and the soup base is rich. The down side is that the beef are choppy and come with small slices in my bowl. The salad roll is huge, you need to dipped your sweet and sour sources every time you bite it.“
“We have been here at least 5-6 six times in the past two years, either just ourselves or with one or two guests (seem like max 4 pp per table....a small place but petitely decored and .....very popular. So on busy weekends, or even week nights, we always try to arrive before 6pm to get a table, or arrive after 1;30pm for a late lunch.....It's worth the wait though.....once you get your table, feel free to watch the chef behind the glass windows pulling authentic noodle from scratch.....especially a popular must for first timers.....There's a All Day daily special every day (but signs only at door I think). We had a Tuesday special and the beef noodle was marvellous, and the pan fried dumplings just to perfection (not overburnt/too dry as in some other placesWe also had All Time combo D (see combo photo): fried noodle with cumin lamb pieces + pork jelly + a free pop. You can change the combinations freely just tell the waitress.....we like the flexibility. The pork jelly (spicy) was our all time favorite...the fried noodle was also good but we preferred the signature beef noodle in soup. There are many more choices to choose from the full menu. (Previously we had chive cakes....yum yum.....big pan chicken....OMG reminiscent of our travels to Lanzhou, Dunhuang....Gobi Desert.....)Had another enjoyable dinner here again to satisfy our sudden craving for spicy food. Pls note Wednesday is their day off.“
“Extensive selection of Asian comfort food. Had the beef brisket and tendon with dumplings and noodles. It was reasonably priced around $11.25 and came with 3 hearty dumplings. However, on the meat side, there were more fatty pieces than I would have preferred. Nothing special but fair pricing all around. Service was friendly and the restaurant is cash only. Visited for a late night snack, but I imagine it's popular during lunch and dinner as well. Would give 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4.“
“One of the best HK style noodle place....wonton...brisket..tendon..sui gow...Hainese chicken...hk style milk tea...lemon tea...it's all good..even better then some places in HK.. one of my highest recommendation.. I give them 100 out of 10..wheelchair access ..kids friendly ...plaza and street parking“
“Went for dinner at night and ordered fried dumplings, steamed buns, Shanghai stir-fry, bean paste nest cakes, fermented rice dumplings, a soup with salted duck, and ordered fried dumplings. All the food is very good and above the standard. In order to eat their fried buns, I went to buy a takeaway the next morning. The takeaways are delicious, the skin is so thin and the meat is juicy! The food is as good as many Shanghai restaurants in Hong Kong. The waiters are all very kind.“
“Mar 17, 2024Excellent!We ordered:General tso's, stir fried eggplant with chicken. It was delicious. Will definitely be going back for more!_____________Nov 17, 2023:Disappointed.We ordered:General Tso chicken, we were given an order that was very much like pineapple chicken. Definitely not General Tso' chicken!Stir fried Eggplant with beef. The beef was negligible and the Eggplant was half cooked, was sent back to be re-cooked. By the time it came back to us, it was time to leave (we filled up on the pineapple chicken!)Chicken Wonton soup was good, the water had a funny after taste.December 2021:Well we decided to have Chinese food again from Green lettuce here in Surrey, hopeful that it would have been better. Sadly I arrived home I had two bags with two orders, what was supposed to be beef and mixed vegetables, turned out to be vegetables only; the other dish they got right and that was an eggplant with shrimp. It would be great if they could get their containers sorted. Each time I've been to this location I've had to do a clean up as the sauce comes out of each containers. When I called the restaurant to advise them if this, they expected I drive back to the restaurant to replace the food. I live about 32 minutes away from the restaurant, so I wasn't interested in doing this. I was advised to freeze the food and bring it in next time and they will make the food better. I'm not sure what they expected for us to eat in the meantime, defeating the whole purpose, of going to pick up take out for dinner.I don't recommend this restaurant at all. However if you want excellent haka Chinese food then go to the Green Lettuce in Vancouver. They are usually quite busy, but most definitely worth waiting when they are.October 2021:Not sure what happened to the quality of the food served this evening. The food was bland, a waste of $53! We've been going to Green Lettuce in Surrey, more so the one in Vancouver, we've never had any complaints.Surrey, you failed us today!Great place for a NON pork Indian style Hakka Chinese food!“
“I did take out pho. I don't use my because it gets cold and the flavors change but I'm glad I took a chance cause I'd rate this 5/5!! It was still so hot, flavours were amazing and one of the most delicious phos I had!! I can't wait to try in person !“
“I had the basic Pho with just steak. It was very good with ample beef and not too many noodles, lots of basil and sprouts. The broth was balanced and not too sweet or salty. Free tea is a bonus. Prices are quite reasonable for these times. If I could ask for one thing, it would be a better chili oil on the table as they only had a hot sauce, but to be fair, I didn't ask for it, so maybe they have it.If you crave a steaming hot bowl of noodle soup, you can't go wrong with this place.“
“I ordered the #30 special spicy noodle soup and Vietnamese spring rolls. The soup was very tasty but I found it had a lot more oil/grease than other places I have tried. Only comes with Vietnamese ham and beef brisket. I added beef ball for an extra charge of 3$. The spring rolls were all cut up into little pieces, which is not good because they get very cold very fast so I would suggest to have them not do that next time. Portion size was good for price. Asked for chilli oil on the side but only got hoisin/siracha. This was a take out order but if I was to eat inside I noticed the door didn’t close properly and there was a draft coming inside.“
“Authentic traditional Hong Kong food people can have regularly. Food quality is on average for dining compared to other Chinese restaurant. its price is on average too.when it comes to atmosphere, it's pretty much a traditional Hong Kong canteen that you can see.Friendly and nice people at the restaurant.“
“Good price and good portions. Would recommend the original beef noodle soup and not the spicy one. The spicy one is pretty disappointing in terms of flavor. It's just the original flavor with pure capsaicin.Vegetarian options: They have themParking: Limited parking“
“Better than many Vancouver Downtown Ramnen shops!!Came for a quick lunch, surprisingly good!Food:Black Tonkotsu RamenVery good creamy bone broth, unlike some other ramen shops I tried before ( Too much msg and lacking bone flavors), chasu are done in good texture, moist juicy and flavorful! Ramen texture is good. Good amount and comparably reasonable prices. No wonder this is their most popular ramen! Would come back for this again.Garlic miso RamenBroth does not taste as good as the black Tonkotsu Ramen because the spicy sauce tastes too common and supermarket ish~~ but other things are good though.Chicken karageJuicy, good portionService:Very fast and attentive service!Environment:Sooo much better than many small ramen shops in Vancouver, spacious seatings, good table capacity, enough passage space if you need to go to the washroom.Overall, great experience! Good place for a workday lunch!Parking: The plaza has lots of parking.“
“If you crave for Asian food whilst in Vancouver, hop in at Thai Son.The food is very authentic Vietnamese and tasty. Portions are big. Besides the pho noodles there are many varieties of rice dishes. Decor of the restaurant is simple and service by staff was quick.Good value for the money paid for the meal, would eat here again for sure :D No credit cards.......Cash only !“
“quiet yummy lunch on a late saturady afternoon....relaxing Vietnamese style. We went there for a late saturday lunch (almost 3pm) and there were still a few customers. Tables very spaciously arranged (probably still from the COVID times) so customers can appreciate the traditional cultural decor while we enjoy a delicious meal.We shared between the two of us a beef pho, a papaya salad and spring rolls. The broth was so geniune and the salad so fresh. This tasty meal was completed with two drip vietnamese coffees. What more to ask for to spend a relaxing quiet saturday afternoon“
“Always delicious!! it's a family tradition that we go here every year and then head to the burnaby heritage village. Their spicy chicken wings and wonton soup are AMAZING!! and the service is great! lots of traditional dishes. The Gai Lan is great! Love “
“*Chicken Wings (KLN Café) - $12 ~ This is bomb, phenom penh chicken wings but cheaper and in Richmond? YES PLEASE. They taste very similar and its super crispy, and juicy. The flavors they use is so good and there is loads of green onions and garlic which just makes the taste even better. Also comes with a side of lemon juice to dip! This is a must whenever I come here! 10/10..“
“Clean place. Welcoming and accommodating waitresses. Food is delicious. Wheelchair accessible but not blind people braille chart menu yet. Recommended.Vegetarian options: There's Buddha Feast platter.Plain congéParking: City paid parking is difficult to find near by the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately there are many careless delivery people on the sidewalk riding electric bikes and scooters“
“We found our waitress delightful and the food delicious. We highly recommend this restaurant. Tell your friends about it, we would like them to remain in business. Without our patranization and others it is difficult to keep a restaurant going.“
