“I went there because there were ads outside saying they won best dish of the year. However, the taste was a little disappointing. I couldn't find the umami.

Their service was great; it was fast, and the waitress was so nice. For that reason, I'm giving 4 instead of 3.

“This is a very small noodle house in New Westminster by the train station and above Safeway. The eatery is tiny but it has a cozy atmosphere. It looks like a family run business. What's great and unique about this noodle house is that they make the noodles by hand everytime you order.

We had two noodle dishes and we liked them both. The portion were very generous and the price reasonable. For two noodle dishes, and an order of green onions cakes it came to $47.71 and we brought home lots of food for many days.

We will return and try other dishes like soup as other patrons had and they looked good. Recommended!“

“Great value proposition in Taiwanese fried chicken. The crunch was good and it was generously seasoned. The serving size (I got a regular) is absolutely a monster for one person. I recommend sharing with at least two or more people. Despite the scale of fried chicken, I didn’t feel greasy after finishing it.

Cash only. There is an ATM at the lottery convenience at the other end of the mall. You are given a pager that vibrates and rings once your food is ready. Seating can be difficult at peak times since there’s other food spots in the cafeteria.“

“Yin Ji Chang Fen is one of the best places for Cantonese rice noodle rolls in the area. The rice rolls are silky smooth, made fresh to order, and the sweet soy sauce is perfectly balanced. We tried the shrimp and beef rice rolls, and both were packed with filling and tasted authentic. The congee was also rich and comforting. Service was fast, and the restaurant was clean and well organized. If you’re craving traditional Cantonese breakfast or comfort food, this place is definitely worth a visit. I’ll be coming back to try more items on the menu!“

Would highly recommend their chilli oil sauce noodles. I got them with the cutting noodles. Simple but incredible flavour and perfect chewy texture.“

“Very authentic Shanghainese cuisine. Generous portions as well. Definitely one of our go to's.

If you are eating dinner there, I would strongly recommend eating the first round, so 5 or 5:30pm, because parking is very limited. There's also paid street parking on Alexandra Road.

Also make sure to make a reservation, especially on the weekends, to make sure you get a table!

“These rice rolls are probably the best I've had in all of Richmond. I got the beef, pork and shrimp one. It comes with soy sauce and the chili sauce was delicious. The rice was done really nicely and the beef was impossibly tender. Highly recommended!“

“Decent service. I ordered the dan dan noodles and salt and pepper chicken. The chicken was really good - juicy on the inside and not dry at all. The dan dan noodles came in a big portion, but I had to add some chili oil to make it spicier. The restaurant was a bit dark inside.“

The soup tastes so much better now, just like it did 8–9 years ago. After 2022, the flavor wasn't the same and was quite disappointing. But in 2026, it has finally returned to the rich, delicious taste I remember from 2018.

I'm happy to give it 5 stars this time. Keep up the great work!“

“the food is perfect for a meal, quite filling. the weekday happy hour (2-6pm) is good as always! i recommend the ajitama (egg) for every meal though, no matter if you order the happy hour set or not. this is the small portion of the ramen! my personal favourite is shoyu, though others have said their miso tastes amazing too.“

The standard noodle toppings only include 2 pieces of Cha shu and some green onions. Soft boiled eggs, Nori and everything else are add-on.

Free parking is a few blocks away and it gets quite busy during lunch, so eat early!“

“It's an alright Chinese noodle place in the Yaohan food court. We ordered the hotpot noodle as well as the tomato based one.

The hotpot one is very good value as it has a lot of ingredients. And it stays hot since it is served in the hotpot. The tomato based one wasn't as good, but it might be our lack of exposure to this type of taste.

Wanted to try it since other restaurants had very long lineups but not sure if we'll try again as the other food court options are more suitable for our palette.“

One standout is the fried dough sticks (youtiao), which are presented in a unique way—hung up like slabs of pork. If you can’t handle spicy food, don’t try to push your limits here. The service is quite slow—very, very slow—which likely means the dishes are freshly made rather than pre-cooked. There’s no parking right at the entrance, so you’ll need to find a spot in the mall or park at Walmart nearby.“
