“My experience at the Amsterdam Restaurant was terrific. This restaurant is not hard to miss since it is located right next to the Trans-Canada highway in Kamloops. My first time there, I had the Advocaat Belgian Waffle with coffee. The waffle was amazing; topped with vanilla ice cream, egg liquor, pecans, and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar while the waffle itself was warm, crunchy outside and soft inside. The coffee was great as well. I highly recommend Amsterdam to anyone who happens to come by the restaurant.“

“We ordered the beef brisket eggs Benny and the pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich.

The beef brisket eggs Benny was perfect! The sauce, the bread, the eggs, and the brisket all worked so well together. It tasted different from a typical eggs Benny in a more savory and herby way. Even the harsh was tasty. I would definitely come back for it.

The pulled pork grilled cheese sandwich was not bad. The bread was golden and crispy, but it didn’t really surprise me.

The service was okay, and the restaurant was quite crowded even on a Monday morning, so expect a longer wait time if you have a bigger group or come on the weekends.“

“Never been amazing atmosphere kind and respectful staff. Top-notch food, best tasting stuff had in a long time. Love that it was homemade made fresh and absolutely delicious. You have to try the Philly beef dip and Tomato vegetable soup will definitely be back again.“

“We were really craving a good soup and not sure what we wanted. I had Jacob's as a saved place to try and so we gave it a go a couple days ago. We had the Seafood Nabe Udon and the Beef Udon. I'm not usually a Udon fan due to some not so good food from a couple places out of town, but this was DELICIOUS!! We will definitely be back for more, and to try a few more new things! 😊 I highly recommend checking them out and trying them for yourself.“

The food is great, and the environment is so fitting!! I have a few favourites, Melinda always goes so above and beyond to make each visit outstanding, and chad has as easy flow and just makes you at home. “My husband and I stopped in at Noble Pig Brewhouse last Saturday after a long day of driving through the Thompson Valley, and we were so glad we did. We shared the pulled pork sandwich and it was honestly one of the best things either of us has eaten in years - the meat just fell apart and the sauce had a perfect smoky kick. Our server was warm and attentive without hovering, which we really appreciate at our age when we just want to relax and enjoy a meal. If you're passing through Kamloops, do yourself a favor and make time for this place, we're already talking about coming back on our next trip through BC.“

“Food was great. Had a salad with chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Came in and dined alone, was expecting a more friendly and attentive server. One of the girls at the front realized I wasn’t being cared for, and Abbie (Abby? Abi?) gladly grabbed me cutlery, refilled my water as well as checked on how my food tasted, etc. without me having to ask. She did a lovely job of going above and beyond and kindly refused when I offered her a small tip saying it “wasn’t necessary”. I will definitely be coming again.“

Atmosphere. Good, basic 50s diner.

Service. Bad. One of the staff was snappy because we asked for a refill of coffee. And when our food arrived there was ham on one of my party members food. She’s vegetarian and he specifically asked for NO HAM. And the waitress excuse was “maybe you didn’t ask for no ham” she has been a vegetarian for 30 YEARS. I don’t think she would forget to ask for no ham. So she asked for it to go back and the waitress was rude and snappy. So my party member went up to the manager and spoke with her and we got our meals for free. The other staff where nice and I felt bad for them but everything else was good“
