“My experience at the Amsterdam Restaurant was terrific. This restaurant is not hard to miss since it is located right next to the Trans-Canada highway in Kamloops. My first time there, I had the Advocaat Belgian Waffle with coffee. The waffle was amazing; topped with vanilla ice cream, egg liquor, pecans, and sprinkled with cinnamon and sugar while the waffle itself was warm, crunchy outside and soft inside. The coffee was great as well. I highly recommend Amsterdam to anyone who happens to come by the restaurant.“

“So many delicious options. I got the sweet potato bowl and it was very good. I got my eggs soft poached and they were absolutely perfect when they arrived. My whole dish was hot & steamy and cooked to perfection. It is quite busy and a little loud but it's clearly a popular local spot and has a lot of character and artwork on the walls. Gives classic diner vibes in a cozy way. The food came out very quickly. The server was incredibly busy though and I feel like she could have used some help. She was stellar though and clearly working very hard to serve everyone. Also very affordable. Will come back.“

The food was top-notch, the portions were massive, and the staff were so incredibly friendly. The experience was amazing because of them. The prices were also such a great deal considering how much food you get!

“We were really craving a good soup and not sure what we wanted. I had Jacob's as a saved place to try and so we gave it a go a couple days ago. We had the Seafood Nabe Udon and the Beef Udon. I'm not usually a Udon fan due to some not so good food from a couple places out of town, but this was DELICIOUS!! We will definitely be back for more, and to try a few more new things! 😊 I highly recommend checking them out and trying them for yourself.“

“Food was great. Had a salad with chicken and it was cooked to perfection. Came in and dined alone, was expecting a more friendly and attentive server. One of the girls at the front realized I wasn’t being cared for, and Abbie (Abby? Abi?) gladly grabbed me cutlery, refilled my water as well as checked on how my food tasted, etc. without me having to ask. She did a lovely job of going above and beyond and kindly refused when I offered her a small tip saying it “wasn’t necessary”. I will definitely be coming again.“

“Went here for dinner last night and it was so good!

We had the poutine and pretzels for apps. The poutine was well received!

Two of the party split the chicken sandwich and the pulled pork Mac n cheese. They thought that it was an amazing dish.

Not surprising, the pull pork sandwich was also a hit as were the fries, which were great and fresh.

The salad was also good—we liked the crackers on it.

And the pizza also was really good. I got the veggie one.

We got drink as well, which were all good as well!

But the best part of our night was the hospitality shown by all the staff, especially Ashley! She was an amazing waitress and gave us tips for the next day of travel. She even helped when my daughter spilled something on her shirt bringing soda water and stain remover.“

“I will never not recommend this place to anyone looking for amazing Chinese in town. We’ve been going here for years. They always recognize us and mostly by our order. We often get a nice little surprise on the house as well. I always love checking out their aquarium of exotic fish!

The dining room has this cozy, low key vibe that made it easy to linger over way too many plates.
