“Sometimes the best dining experiences pop up in the most unexpected places. This little joint is tucked away off the beaten path in an industrial area—not exactly where you'd expect to find memorable flavors—but that’s part of the charm. Given how many well-loved spots have shut down lately due to sky-high lease renewals, we’ll probably see more great eateries springing up in unconventional corners to stay in the game. And honestly, we came for the food, but the inside is surprisingly cozy too.
From what I gather, this spot recently shifted concepts and now leans into Korean fusion, offering a lineup that can satisfy fans of classic Asian dishes, Western comfort food, and the curious middle ground in between. Which made ordering a struggle, in a good way, because so many dishes sounded great. The K-Rose special was the standout for me, perfectly blending two culinary worlds, and I’m glad we got it with the seaweed rice bowl to soak up every last drop of sauce. The bulgogi platter was another win. Serve me anything I can wrap into ssam, and I’m all in. You might need to ask for extra lettuce because the meat portion is no joke, but that’s hardly a complaint. Everything we had was packed with bold, vibrant flavors and left us genuinely satisfied.
There are a few small things I’m sure they are still ironing out while finding their footing with the new concept, but the talent in that kitchen is evident. They deserve a bit of spotlight, and I hope their venture picks up steam. Give them a try as they are doing something special out there.“

“Great menu options of different sauces and type of meat for tonkatsu. Just a suggestion that they should display pictures of the food or put their menu on their store front window for display as I notice some people passing by not knowing what they offer as some people don’t know what tonkatsu is. After finish8ng my meal and waiting for my husband to get the car, I noticed some tourists walking by looking around to see if they could find the menu or something at the door but nothing was available.“

“I came to this restaurant on a random afternoon, and it's still full. You can tell it's a good place. I would recommend coming with a group of people because their dishes are not offered in small portions.
After some time, I came back again and got some takeout. It was just as delicious as always. It's great to have a restaurant like this in the neighborhood. I hope future construction projects won’t affect this place.“

“Ordered a few takeaway bowls from this lovely Korean restaurant in Burnaby. My favorite was definitely the bulgogi bowl and the spicy pork bowl. They were super filling and tasty. I couldn’t finish it all.

“We loved the food here! If you’re looking for traditional flavours, this place really nails the Szechuan dishes. Our favourites are the beef brisket and the pickled fish. I love that you can add your own spices/chilis/oils at their DIY bar. Service is quick and friendly.“

“Server named Lu was very attentive, excellent service. I came with my son to try stuffed chicken wings. Special deal today (2 wings w/ salad & drink for $13, originally $16). Milk tea was rich in flavour. 2 wings were much more filling than they look! Good taste. Nice comfort food with fresh salad. It was like snacky-food, no fuss. Fast service. My only complaint is the lack of parking in the upper and lower parking lots (paid $4.5 in underground), full of Yoga patrons but if you are patient, it will all be OK. I would come back for unique wings and Lu's warm hospitality.“

“The portion of the food is quite sufficient, but the taste is mediocre. If you like Chinese food, it is better to go home and learn to cook it yourself. I feel that no matter how cheap the price is, it will not be more cost-effective than cooking it yourself, or buy a premade microwave-heated version, which is available in this store. The taste should be suitable for a convenience store, most of the food is quite unnecessary to my taste. The seafood noodles taste pretty good, comparable to Soup Master, and the sweet and spicy chicken is pretty good. The texture of the chicken chai is well preserved, allowing me to taste that I'm eating chicken.“

We got 6 inari sushi pockets and they were AMAZING. I would definitely come back and have them again.
There is no seating in Sushi Tree, we just sat in a grassy patch nearby to eat them, which was no problem.“

“The burgers (more meat buns in my mind) were delicious and extremely juicy. The price is extremely affordable especially given how substantial it is. 2 would be too much unless you're starving.
The lamb soup was surprisingly big. I thought it was just the broth, but it's a meal with tofu, lamb meat (a little dry but still good), and a few pieces of noodle to go with the bun.
I'll definitely come back in the future.“

“First time here. Really nice clean cosy place nestled in the corner of the strip mall. We tried the Salmon Sashimi which was outstandingly fresh. Also enjoyed some amazing Chicken karate and Mango Salmon rolls. Not to forget excellent service by the couple who run this place. And yes, they do take AMEX as well. Come back for sure ?“

“The food was amazing and the service was excellent. I definitely recommend this establishment if you want authentic and halal Fijian food. We ordered a large lamb curry, tawa rotis and chicken pulao. The portions were huge and well worth the money as they were packed to the brim. The uncle was so kind and gave us two extra chutneys (imli and tomato) and 12 pakoras to open our fasts with. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, definitely give it a try.“

“Cozy spot with SERIOUSLY fresh fish. The Fraser Heights roll was a fun local twist. it's loaded with flavour and beautifully plated. Service is attentive without hovering, and the miso soup hits the spot on rainy Surrey evenings but not during this time haha it's summer now. Can’t wait to return.“

“Highly recommend! First time at Todai and they're my new favorite spot when visiting Vancouver. Ordered 4 sushi party platters (sashimi platter and rolls) and there was more than enough food for 12 Americans ? The fish was fresh and the price was great! Edamame, egg rolls, and fish apps were all delicious. The staff were friendly (I called them 3 times to change my pickup times), the space is small but oh so cute. Online order form is so easy to use as well.

“I have ADHD and tend to get fixated on a meal and order it repeatedly and Noodlebox has become my favorite fixation meal!
I have Uber'd the spicy peanut box every day this week and each time it's been perfection. Great spice levels, fresh veggies (except one day they were out of bean sprouts) and just the right amount of sauce. I'll be back over and over“
