“Absolutely phenomenal place to enjoy a fresh handmade boba. I live seven hours away and I make it a point to tell everyone I know about this place and to always grab one when near the area. On multiple occasions I have driven over 45 minutes from different areas of Vancouver when visiting to go to this specific shop. The staff are very friendly, the menu is visually appealing with lots of options and the boba balls are made fresh daily by hand with real brown sugar. My favourite is the signature brown sugar milk tea, it comes with a delicious foam on top that they caramelize with a torch. “I recently visited Butterfly Tea & Dessert and it was honestly such a great experience. The first thing that stood out was the variety of bubble tea they offer — there are so many options, from classic milk teas to ice cream slushes and even more fruit tea options. No matter what you’re into, there’s definitely something for you. The toppings selection is also really good, with different pearls, jellies, and foams that are very cheap to add in your drink. The quality of the drinks were amazing too. The flavors tasted fresh and well-balanced, and the pearls had the perfect chewy texture — not too hard or too soft. You can tell they actually care about making their drinks properly.
The atmosphere was another highlight. I have to mention hoe cute the owner decorated the shop with all the different kpop posters and merch. In addition, shop has a really kpop vibes and posters to take a photo with. Making it a nice place to hang out with friends or just relax. It’s clean, well-decorated, and has a welcoming feel that makes you want to stay longer.

“I'm a person who loves eating yogurt so I decided to come here. Not beyond my expectations, the yogurt here was very delicious with many different choices. I ordered the Oreo Mochi Yogurt. The taste was super amazing. The sweetness was just right, the texture was silky smooth and the ingredients were super abundant.

“Don’t be fooled by its modest unassuming front, Paradise Juice is a hidden gem in the Crystal Mall food court!

I always get the Paradise Special “Mango Ice cream” which is much closer to a blended mango milkshake than scoopable ice cream. I can’t believe it’s under $5, half the price of many glitzier Boba places nearby. The drink is thick and pulpy, made with real ripe mango rather than powders. A lot of times, drink places will use too much ice in blended drinks to cut down on costs but I found the Mango ice cream to be rich and smoothly blended. It’s just the right amount of sweetness and a refreshing beverage to have with hot noodle soup or stir fry. Paradise juice, like much of the Crystal mall food court, may be no frills in its store front but simply cannot be beat in price and quality! Make sure to bring cash though as they do not accept card like many places in the food court.“

“Delicious and fresh! Avocado coffee with pearls is really good and unique, made fresh. I love their Thai red tea here, the pearls are perfect. They have Vietnamese coffee as well.

Went to London Drugs initially because it was closer and was said to be super cheap (about the same), but the photo quality there was dull and lighting really flat. “My fiancee and I loved the milk tea & chocolate swirl ice-cream. We created our own parfait by adding strawberry syrup (free), ai-yu jelly & grass jelly too hehehe. “Placed an order for 3 Taro slushies over the phone, when I got my order, I got 2 slushies and one milk tea. Seems like an honest mistake (with the weather today I figured they were super busy and it was just a miscommunication) and when I mentioned the order made over the phone, the girl at the counter (who was not the one who took the order) was very kind and apologized for the error and offered to make me a new slushie per the the original order. “Had the Fresh Mango Coconut Milk ($8.24 with tax). It was good! You can adjust ice and sugar levels for most drinks, including this one! I didn't want to consume dairy, so you can substitute their coconut pudding for their coco water jelly, a nice hybrid between coconut jelly and grass jelly. It's impossible not to compare the drink to Macu Tea, which I do prefer for their addition of grapefruit & the tea jelly flavour in the King of Mango. However, Cocobay was a good option in the area!

The mango was sweet enough, and the coconut milk was rich. There was only one staff member around 7 pm on a Sunday so there was a short wait as they prepared other orders. Friendly service, however, and she was able to answer menu questions about dietary preferences!“

“The UberEats order pick up was quick and smooth. The peach and lychee slush drinks were ordered with a special note that they be made with 30% sugar. I was not sure if they would accommodate this because other bubble tea places have denied sugar modifications for slushy drinks and smoothies. The gentleman working there immediately gave me the drinks upon seeing me and explained he made them less sweet by only adding a certain type of syrup and no other added sugar. Not quite 30% but definitely less sweet. I appreciated this!“

“If you’re tired of the same old milk tea, you have to try Cocobay. All of their drinks are coconut-based, which is such a fantastic and unique twist on the traditional bubble tea you find everywhere else.

“The Alley 鹿角巷 used to be EVERYWHERE in Metro Vancouver during the peak bubble tea era, and now the Downtown Vancouver location is the last one standing. 👀🧋

Although bubble tea trends have shifted over time, this place still brings a sense of nostalgia and comfort whenever we visit downtown.

The location is very convenient, just a few minutes’ walk from the Scotiabank Theatre Vancouver on Burrard Street. It’s a great spot to grab a drink before or after a movie, especially since they stay open until 11 PM.

Our go-to order is ALWAYS the Brown Sugar Deerioca series 🤎. The pearls are chewy, the brown sugar flavour is rich, and the large size is definitely worth it if you’re walking around downtown all day. 😂

If you’re visiting for the first time, I recommend starting with these options:

“Had the Pho Satay. Pretty on point. Generous amount of noodles that were cooked al dente. Been to a few pho restaurants where the noodles just break up apart, but not here. Would I have liked more rare beef? Perhaps. Maybe a little bit more basil...I only say this because it is at the $21 total price not including tip. The broth is phenomenal - the peanut spice mixture into the beef broth is top tier! The balance is just perfect. The flavour alone would probably make you think twice about going to a Japanese ramen spot and I'm a die hard ramen fan.

Service is excellent. I should probably add that it's refreshing to know that there is a restaurant that doesn't serve tap water. This place actually has CLEAN PURIFIED WATER. It makes a big difference for me anyways.

“I love this branch of CoCo, as the employees are efficient, polite, and very consistent with drink quality!😊 This location is also very conveniently placed on Kingsway, close to the R4 bus stops and the various other food/drink spots on this street.

The inside of this CoCo branch is very welcoming and almost always remarkably clean. There is high stool seating available at the windows but also two normal-level tables for people to talk and sit at. Menus and posters advertising deals/new specials are displayed along the walls, which is super helpful if you're unsure what to get! Paper towels are also free for people to get if needed, which is such a thoughtful addition to the space.

I really enjoy the different ways you can order at this branch. There's a self-serve tablet if you'd like to order online and pay via card, you can go up to the counter and verbally order, or you can order ahead of time via the CoCo mobile app and collect points to redeem free drinks in the future (my personal favourite). If you sign up via the app, you can also redeem a free drink for your birthday too⭐

My favourite drinks so far are the Fresh Strawberry Milk Tea (with Pearls as an additional topping) and the Brown Sugar Pearl Latte. The Fresh Strawberry Milk Tea comes with these delicious strawberry bits, and it's the perfect amount of sweet when set to 70% sugar for me.

“I ordered a Mango Green Tea from 101 Boba through Uber Eats recently, and I wanted to leave feedback about the experience because the customer service at the Capstan location really stood out.

On the Uber Eats menu, the drink description for the Mango Green Tea was not very clear that it included additional
ingredients/floating toppings inside the drink and i thought it would be mango flavoring. When I received it, it was not what I expected, and I honestly was not very happy with it. I called the store simply to ask if there was any possibility of exchanging it, and I even explained that I had not really drank it and was willing to bring it back.

Carrie at the Capstan location handled the situation extremely professionally. She was polite, understanding, and genuinely cared about keeping the customer happy. She immediately tried to help and made the process easy instead of making it uncomfortable or difficult. She even told me not to worry about bringing it back.

Considering the drink itself was not very expensive, I really appreciated that she focused more on customer satisfaction and long term service rather than arguing over policy.

That kind of service is what makes customers want to come back again.
I also contacted another location to ask about the situation, and while the staff member there was still polite, the experience felt very different. The response was more focused on explaining that the drink already comes with floating ingredients rather than understanding why the menu description may have confused a customer ordering online. I mentioned that the Uber Eats menu could probably be made clearer for future customers so people know exactly what they are ordering.

Overall, I just want to give credit to Carrie at the Capstan location for handling the situation the right way. Professional, understanding, and customer focused service like that makes a huge difference.“
