“Obviously Cactus Club is a well-known chain with plenty of locations, but this one feels special. It’s the original, and it has its own quirks and character that make it stand out. There’s a cozy, familiar vibe here that keeps me coming back.

The food is consistently good — you know what you’re going to get, and they deliver it well every time. Service is friendly and reliable, which makes the whole experience easy and enjoyable. Pair that with the atmosphere of this “OG” spot, and it feels a little more personal than some of the newer, shinier locations.

It might not be the flashiest, but it has charm, consistency, and great energy. Always a solid choice.“

“It was amazing! From, Chloe, the Hostess, to the waiter, Mark, who was outstanding, and the food was amazing! I had the Pesto Risotto, for my appetizer, the Beef Tenderloin, on grilled Romaine, with Frites, done perfectly! The view was spectacular! But none of it could have been pulled off without the personality and care of our server, Mark!“

“Our group of friends has been visiting this location for dinner, and we're always impressed by the warm welcome.
Large groups can be challenging, but Cahleigh, their new server, has already won us over!
From the moment we walked in, Cahleigh greeted us with a smile.
What struck us was that she already recognized us and was familiar with our orders .
Her politeness and friendliness made us feel like VIPs.
The food, as always, was delicious, and the atmosphere was lively and inviting.
We had a fantastic time catching up and enjoying each other's company.

“This restaurant is all about its location and a must visit if you are visiting the Grouse Mountain. Its purpose is to offer exceptional views of Vancouver from the Grouse Mountain in a very cool, relaxed and luxurious.

I highly recommend the outdoor terrace seating or the even the indoor section which is in glass, overlooking the beautiful views of the Ocean.

The bar counter inside is also a friendly spot.

“We were a group of 4. Portions were generous. Pulled pork Benny was my dish, eggs were cooked perfectly, husband enjoyed the chicken and waffles. Server was attentive, food service prompt, dishes served as ordered (including a couple of modifiers they kindly accommodated ). Pina colada mimosa is a win. All 4 of us agreed it was a lovely experience. Would recommend arriving early on a weekend for brunch and add your name to the wait list.“

“We had the steak frites, one with ribeye and one with sirloin, and our son ordered the kids pizza. The view was amazing and probably the best part of the evening.

The food was ok overall. The steaks came out medium just like we asked which was nice, but the flavor and presentation were pretty average. The kids pizza was simple but our son enjoyed it.

It was not very busy for a Thursday around 6:30 pm and we were seated right away with no wait which was great.

The food did take a little while to arrive considering the place was not packed, but once it came we were able to relax and enjoy the setting. This is definitely the kind of spot where the atmosphere and views make the visit worthwhile even if the food is not the main reason to go.“

“I've been coming here for years... the staff are always amazing... without fail!... yes, sometimes the food isnt always perfect(during busy times) but they always fix it in a heartbeat... eg. fries aren't always hot... however, it's hands down the best family restaurant in north van! I always leave there happy.“

From the amazing customer service including how sweet and genuine they were to a regular in front us helping him locate his umbrella to the exceptional warm and friendly service we received as well. “This is by my favorite Browns. The staff here are very friendly and accommodating. The atmosphere is laid back and welcoming. The food is always fantastic.
Several times my boyfriend or mom and I have had Gavin as our server. After two visits he recognized us instantly. Gavin is just generally fun to have wait on you.
He’s friendly, accommodating, and builds great relationships with guests. I recommend asking for him.
I also spoke with Byron today who was just awesome. I am always impressed to see higher ups on the floor at Browns.

“I visited this breakfast joint after many years of being out of the country and I have to say that thankfully nothing has changed ( other than the prices ). We went there as a party of 6 and a high chair. I ordered one of their traditional breakfast dishes and truly enjoyed it. The place was packed so we had to wait about 30 mins. The Iranian server there is so kind and attentive to our needs and other staff were also very welcoming and helpful.“

“Decent spot for a beer and burger. I had a good meal but my friend did not. The deep fried colliflower was overcooked and not as it should. Others enjoyed their meals and the happy hour specials. Generally a good neighbourhood pub with food available. The street patio was shaded but small.“
