Canadian Restaurants near Pender Island, BC

“We came here in December to check the place out as we are getting married at Poet's Cove in July.

The food was fantastic. We ate here 3 nights and one breakfast and for tbe most part, everything was tasty and exactly what we wanted.

Some points to improve:

- The music sometimes stopped in the dining room and there was ads (probably using Spotify free version)

- It sometimes took more than normal times for staff to notice people waiting at the entrance to be seated.

All in all, food was great and the staff were all very friendly, would recommend.“

“Had an absolutely wonderful anniversary dinner at Sirens Bistro. Bella, our server was very attentive and lovely to speak with. My husband ordered the seafood spaghettini and he would give it an eleven if there was such a thing. I ordered the poke bowl and, living in Vancouver, poke bowls are everywhere and I have had many. Not only was this one the best blend of flavors but, when I passed it to my husband to finish it as I was stuffed, there was still ahi tuna left. It was jammed with tuna. The staff worked so hard and it was evident in our evening. Beautiful location, fantastic meal, wonderful service 5+ all the way!“

“Had our March 24 wedding dinner at the Sea Glass and the bride and 16 guests had a wonderful time thanks to the caring of the Sea Glass manager & staff. Everything, service and food, was perfect.“

“Unbelievable experience from top to bottom. Pacing of the courses was great. Service was exceptional, felt casual and light but we always had everything we needed and the evening flowed very well, as a former server I recognize how hard it is to make this look easy!

Food was amazing and I loved how the meal evolved, from the snack courses that used a lot of ferments to the richer savoury courses to the amazing deserts the highlight of which was a tart heaped with shaved hazelnut everything was excellent. Perfect amount of food, I appreciate the suggestion to pack up the pizza course as I think if we ate the whole thing that might have pushed it into too much food territory but with only having half it was a perfect amount.

Wine pairings were great although personally I am not a fan of some of the more funky natural wines that were on offer but still enjoyed what we drank quite a bit as there was enough variation between glasses to keep it interesting.

Overall probably the best dining experience I've had in Canada and one of the best I've had in the world.

“Delicious food prepared in Cheffy’s own kitchen, good selection of British food, very convenient when cooking isn’t an option, great variety, inexpensive (the fewer visits to the supermarket, the more the savings), the menu changes each week and friendly, helpful staff. Hint: Their delicious scones, with a different variety every week, are very popular and sell out quickly, so it’s a good idea to order them early in the week. 🥮“
