“My son chose Spice Hut for his birthday dinner. They had balloons set on our table when we arrived! Our food was amazing, as always, and when I went to pay the server asked if we had a few minutes and to have a seat. The cooks played “Happy Birthday” over the sound system and came out with delicious dessert and to wish our boy a happy birthday. We already loved Spice Hut but cannot rave more over our experience there. Such a wonderful establishment 👍🏻”

“We had an amazing treat at Ironworks Cafe & Creperie. So many tempting choices, both sweet and savoury. Three of us wanted to share two crepes, and asked if our choices could be cut into thirds. Renee plated the thirds individually with full garnishes. 🌟🌟🌟 We had the ‘Four Berries and Cream” (sweet) and the ‘Spinach, Artichoke & Brie” (savoury). Hmmmmm. Latte was excellent. 🌟 Locally owned, caringly staffed, local ingredients. So impressed. Thank you.”

“A fun and genuine place to enjoy sea food - obviously the clams are the highlight, but the menu is really interesting and has all the local fish on it. Large portions. You can also expect quite substantial cocktails. Great value, good fun!”

“Wow! What a brilliant restaurant, a must try if you’re in town. The only thing better than the food here is the management, we tried almost everything and didn’t have a single bad bite. I’d recommend the flat bread, but I haven’t had olives like this since I left the Middle East. Delicious, will definitely be back. Edit: My favourite restaurant in port alberni, I’ve been working here for a few weeks and I’ve been way too many times, it’s awesome and every bite brings me back to North Africa, the dishes are smart, elevated and delicious. the manager Keanna is an absolute pleasure, she is a walking ball of light, even if the food wasn’t this amazing I’d probably still be back just for the management.”

“It’s always great, been coming to Twin for over 3 years and it’s always getting better. The pizzas are probably the best brewery pizzas you can get on the island (half and half is the best feature!). A large list of tap brews all the time and they’re always experimenting with new flavours/pours so when you come in 9/10 times there’s something new to try. The atmosphere is very nice too, the staff is always wonderful and sweet to interact and chat with.”

“We go to Smitty’s for Breakfast now and then when in Port. Always awesome food and Friendly Service. Was there today and my Breakfast for lunch, plus the service were both perfect!! My Denver Omelette was perfect, the cubed potatoes best ever...it was all great. The food was served in a very reasonable time. Coffee refill was prompt. The Waitress was fun, efficient & friendly even though they were busy.”

“Wor Wonton soup is incredible- packed with prawns, pork, chicken, wontons and veggies. We order one and split it as a starter or it could be a massive meal for one person. The Cashew Chicken Gai Ding is one of our favourites- you just have to try it to get it. Amazing textures and flavours. Also ordered the Curry Prawn Fried Rice - yummy, very spicy! Lots of takeout orders at dinner time. We often eat in and are the only ones there, really good service and we feel special having the whole place to ourselves. Best Chinese food in Port Alberni!”

I couldn’t keep it together goin through your drive through getting them all their burgers to enjoy before they’re no longer with me. This morning I had to do some banking and noticed your restaurant refunded my order and payed for my babies last meal. And I have no words. Your kindness is beyond any food company you even threw in a bunch of lollipops. My human babies thank you so much for them. Thank you port Alberni A&W means a lot in such a broken world.”

“We ordered delivery this Saturday evening. It was a very windy, blustery rainy night but regardless the delivery driver was so pleasant and sweet. We had the vegetarian lasagna and the baked fettuccini Alfredo with shrimp and veggies added. Both exceeded our expectations for being from a pizza joint. The veggies tasted fresh. I added a bit of fresh squeezed lemon and pepper to the shrimp Alfredo and honestly it tasted like it was from a fancy restaurant. The portions are huge so we will both have enough leftovers for an entire meal tomorrow. This is not our first time ordering and every time has been consistent and good. Highly recommend!”

They have a nice atmosphere since renovating. The pool table area is inviting and I am looking forward to testing the table out.

“Sunday, dec5th at approx 230pm we went through the drive thru to get lunch for our kids, the women on the com was extremely rude and condescending. she had NO patients and had a very rude tone. half way through our order I said you know what, nevermind we will go somewhere else. when we got to the window, my husband asked her name and she refused to give it to us. I asked to speak to the Manager and she said no. I told her she had terrible customer service and we will be contacting her employer to complain. WOREST EXPERIENCE EVER.”
