“My son chose Spice Hut for his birthday dinner. They had balloons set on our table when we arrived! Our food was amazing, as always, and when I went to pay the server asked if we had a few minutes and to have a seat. The cooks played “Happy Birthday” over the sound system and came out with delicious dessert and to wish our boy a happy birthday. We already loved Spice Hut but cannot rave more over our experience there. Such a wonderful establishment 👍🏻”

“We had an amazing treat at Ironworks Cafe & Creperie. So many tempting choices, both sweet and savoury. Three of us wanted to share two crepes, and asked if our choices could be cut into thirds. Renee plated the thirds individually with full garnishes. 🌟🌟🌟 We had the ‘Four Berries and Cream” (sweet) and the ‘Spinach, Artichoke & Brie” (savoury). Hmmmmm. Latte was excellent. 🌟 Locally owned, caringly staffed, local ingredients. So impressed. Thank you.”

“It’s always great, been coming to Twin for over 3 years and it’s always getting better. The pizzas are probably the best brewery pizzas you can get on the island (half and half is the best feature!). A large list of tap brews all the time and they’re always experimenting with new flavours/pours so when you come in 9/10 times there’s something new to try. The atmosphere is very nice too, the staff is always wonderful and sweet to interact and chat with.”

“Port Alberni has fabulous restaurants but this NY steak Neptune is the best meal ever. The raspberry chocolate cheesecake is gorgeous and to die for. The portions are very generous, so you better fast before or go for a walk around beautiful Victoria Quay after your feast, hahaha. Thank you for an amazing lunch in such a beautiful place!”

“My wife and I had been working on the island. After a long and difficult first week we found ourselves craving the comforts of a couple plates of hot brown. Bucksnorts did not disappoint with some tasty food, served in large portions, along side a couple cold mugs of beer. Bonus points for this place being the first place our baby tried a lime.

Our server was handling the place solo and I was impressed with how smoothly she made the rounds. Settling bills, clearing tables, greeting new patrons and pouring drinks all while keeping cool and checking in to see how we were doing. No small feat in a decent sized room. Didn’t catch her name but shout out to her anyway.

Great atmosphere. Great time.

They had beers on tap from "twin city Brewing" they were good though a very small drink menu;Not much selection.Didn't find the server friendly, she was in a rush to leave our table rather than answer questions or offer recommendations.”

“Always good food, but it's not really a sit in and dine kind of place. It does have seats and you can dine it, but it's not a restaurant sitting style, it's more geared to take out. Great place though and the menu is huge. Great prices as well and their pizza is very heavy.”

“Well I thought the food would be great for the price.. got what I thought was a steak meal with baked potatoes and vegetables.. oh I was wrong. Ya steak with triple cooked fries. That where not good. My steak was not cooked medium. It was well done. And fries greasy and crumbs . For $38 .. wife had fish and chips. That was same triple cooked and bottom of fish soggy. For $24. Survice was slow. We were not impressed. Best part was my appetizer squid for $14.”

“We go to Smitty’s for Breakfast now and then when in Port. Always awesome food and Friendly Service. Was there today and my Breakfast for lunch, plus the service were both perfect!! My Denver Omelette was perfect, the cubed potatoes best ever...it was all great. The food was served in a very reasonable time. Coffee refill was prompt. The Waitress was fun, efficient & friendly even though they were busy.”

They have a nice atmosphere since renovating. The pool table area is inviting and I am looking forward to testing the table out.

I couldn’t keep it together goin through your drive through getting them all their burgers to enjoy before they’re no longer with me. This morning I had to do some banking and noticed your restaurant refunded my order and payed for my babies last meal. And I have no words. Your kindness is beyond any food company you even threw in a bunch of lollipops. My human babies thank you so much for them. Thank you port Alberni A&W means a lot in such a broken world.”
