“Kokomo is a great plant-bases option tucked away in suter brook. The food is decent, not exceptional. I usually feel like the meal could’ve been better - for instance, the Korean bowl’s use of extra firm tofu isnt great.
Staff have always been kind.
Atmosphere is very cute. Very modern, nice windows. The stools do leave a bit to be desired, back-support wise.

But once I asked to surprise my friend for his birthday, I ordered a dessert (paid for it) and asked to bring it to our table with candles. They brought this dessert to a different table and without candles. Since it was a surprise, I didn't want to ask the waitress for it again because I didn't want my friend to notice anything. I had the veganator and I was blown away by how good it was. “It's one of my favourite places to have dinner in New Westminster. I've tried: homemade pitta bread with four dipping sauce, half zaatar half cheese flatbread, lahmajoun flatbread, sujuk & kashkaval cheese flatbread, and I highly recommend all of them. Don't forget to add fattoush salad combo to your flatbread, because it's also very tasty and very refreshing.“

“I have been here for both the ramen and the don.

Overall the don is fantastic with colossal serving sizes. I believe there was a $10 chashu don special at one point and it was wonderful. The don never disappoints.

Ramen is a little small for me but the taste is always great and beautiful presentation.

The atmosphere is nice with simple wood tables and seats, moderate lighting and relatively quiet.

Servers are nice and do a great job.

Love this place it doesn’t disappoint, ESPECIALLY for the don. 5/5“

“We've been coming to Punk Rock Pastries since pre-pandemic and it has only gotten better and better.
I've used it for anatomic hearts for an interactive theatre show (chocolate mousse inside, they were delicious!), countless lammingtons, donuts, filled cookies and whoopie pies over the years, and more recently, our wedding cake.

Hollie helped us come up with the most beautiful spooky/elegant design, and was so incredibly generous with her time coming up with different designs based on our ideas. The cake looked amazing (and had edible candles on it that you could actually light!) and had three different layers that were different and delcious flavour combinations (orange with cinnamon icing, cookie crunch with salted caramel icing, and earl grey with strawberry icing) and each one was delicious!

The service is always fast and friendly, the atmosphere is very fun (although definitely more adult friendly than kid friendly, the warnings are the door are there for a reason), and the baked goods are delicious. Portion sizes are large, but they keep in the fridge for seconds and then you just get to eat it again later!“

“Probably one of the called I am Happy restaurants after the meal you can enjoy clean, nice dishes at reasonable(actually low range) prices with 5 star services especially from two gentlemen working there. Even take out, they pack everything perfectly with a nice paper bag. One star missing from atmosphere is some of chairs needed to be cleaned after parties are left. I like this place. Reservation is recommended through their website before opening time!“

“We went to this Vietnamese Vegan Restaurant tucked away unobtrusively in the "sleepy "Crest Strip Mall in Burnaby /New Westminister area today for lunch .
The Restaurant is owned & run by a Vietnamese Family & reportedly been around for past 21 years.
We ordered the Mixed Fried Rice, Veg Noodle, Eggplant Coconut Curry in Claypot & Spring Rolls.
All the dishes were tasty & nice -though the Eggplant curry lacked more spice & seasoning. However the Restaurant had all kinds of Chilli, Sriracha, Sweet , Plum sauces & these added to the flavour.
All dishes were freshly made & served piping hot -specially the Spring Rolls (we had 2 helpings of this dish).
Prices were reasonable & service was good, pleasing & efficient. The Restaurant is very Spartan but homely & the Toilet was kept in immaculate condition .
The only negative point I like to add is that the Rice used in the Fried Rice was a coarse variety with large grains instead of the usual Jasmine Rice. ( Indian Basmati Rice would have enhanced the flavour further).

We will return to this Restaurant again in the near future. (Restaurant closes on Sun, Mon, Tue -every week).

“I was around the area today with my hubby and we wanted to get something for lunch. I googled and found this restaurant. We ordered the #1 Chicken Lemongrass and #7 Deluxe Classic combos (the combo comes with a spring roll and a drink - we chose pop) for 12.20 each combo...pretty good deal nowadays. While we waited for our takeout order, they provided a sample of their new milk tea, that was nice 😋

We brought the order home and we split the sandwiches. The Chicken Lemongrass had great flavour and the chicken was moist and not dry. The Deluxe Classic was our favourite, I think the seasoned extra-lean pork belly really makes the sandwich and we loved the bread...it wasn't too doughy...the sandwiches had a good proportion of bun to filling ratio. We will definitely go back and bring the kids. The kids are picky with their sandwiches, but I have a feeling they are going to love the choices!

I normally take pictures of the food before eating, but they looked and smelled too delicious...so we gobbled them up. The spring rolls were good too, maybe could be a little crispier, but they were still good 😁

The restaurant is small, I think I saw 2-3 tables and they have parking in the back.

“I have wanted to try Korean food other than Korean barbecue, but did not even know where to start. With dietary preferences, we can’t enjoy the multitude of Korean restaurants. With some googling (thank you review community!) we came across #chibop and had such a wonderful Food and sensory experience.

This family owned establishment really caters to an English speaking crowd, with food items well explained on the menu. They have a separate vegan section, which is full of all sorts of goodies.

We had the
1. seafood pancake, which was sublime. sautéed caramelized vegetables and tender seafood coated in a fluffy yet crispy pancake batter.

2. The Japchae was full of bright, just the right size vegetables. Noodles cooked to gooey perfection, and a generous serving.

3. And the Mandu with the sweet, spicy sour sauce were filling and fun to eat.

I enjoyed a white peach soju spritzer with the meal.

The owner Pera and her staff are very friendly and were helpful with our questions around the food.

“I've always passed by this restaurant and was curious to try. I'm quite satisfied. The price was pretty cheap and the customer service was pretty good for a Chinese restaurant.

The vibe from inside is a little cramped, different than what it seems from outside (a Shaolin restaurant ?) but it was still quite comfortable.

The only thing is that the kitchen took a long time with our order. We waited nearly 15 minutes for noodles with sauce on it. Meanwhile our friends were already finished eating. That part was not cool. But we'll give them the benefit of the doubt.

Next time I'll come when I'm not pressed for time (and definitely not with 15 ppl)“

“Waited a really long time to try this place for their gooey cinnamon rolls, since their signs always made them sound the best. We managed to snag the last two rolls that day, but I was disappointed when they tasted just average like something from Cinnzeo or Cinnabon. Good enough, but no homemade quality about it.

The chipotle corn chowder and bagel sandwich were delicious and filling. I would go back for lunch if nearby.

Atmosphere was chill and relaxed enough, but our server, an older gentleman, was not very friendly. He was very grumpy, grumbled when he spoke, and just didn’t seem to care or want to be there. The lady behind the counter seemed to be more busy and efficient, and made light conversation with my kid when she stepped in to help with our table. If I do come back, I’d go for the lunch specials, not the cinnamon rolls or the particular server.“
