I love the tunamayo kimbap and the moon bibimbap - the portions are generous and very filling. “This post is long overdue. Over the last 20 years, I have tried many pork bone soups, but Arirang has always been the one that hit home. Although I'm not Korean, seeing a tour bus full of Korean tourists enjoying their meals with happy faces speaks volumes about the authenticity and flavour of their soup. I’ve been ordering the same soup for many years, and the level of umami is indescribable. Their ribs are just meh; on par with food court quality, ok to skip. But their backbone soup is truly one of a kind. Oh the black cod is finger licking good too 🤤“

It wasn’t anything particularly special, but a little above average compared to other Korean snack restaurants. I’m giving it 4 out of 5 mainly because of the price. It felt a bit high. We had two types of fried chicken, both were moist, crispy, and very flavourful. The Bimbimbap is also excellent, and served both hot or cold; either way is delicious, but the hot version gets the rice nice and crispy from touching the stone bowl. The potato croquettes were also very nice, and made a great appetizer.

Good service, with attentive servers.

Atmosphere is good, lots of wood paneling and decorative touches.“

“If you are looking for authentic Korean Jajamyeon, this place is definitely worth a visit. The prices are relatively affordable, and the portions are generous. Kkanlunggi (sweet and sour deep-fried chicken) is also one of my favourites with its crunchy texture.“

“Came here with my partner. I wanted a healthy meal in the area and bibimbap sounded good. Even though it's in the name, I didn't expect there to be grills embedded in the tables. Cool! I haven't ever used one and I wasn't about to try (but I will one day).

Upon looking at the menu, I decided I wanted to try the Bulgogi Deopbap and my partner got the Pork Bibimbap with house spicy sauce.

We were served three little appetizers with our meal, which I was not expecting. Kimchi, potato and zuccini on the side, each with their own sauce. They tasted so good. I've never had kimchi so good, in fact. (Please give me the recipe or brand! lol)

For the main course we were both really impressed. Super delicious. I would come here just to have it again.

As for the service, the servers were present just the right amount. They weren't neglectful nor did they interrupt the dinner too much. Very pleasant and great service.“

Agoongyi never disappoints—authentic Korean comfort food with solid portions and great flavors. I’ve tried a few dishes now and the bibimbap definitely hits the spot (props to whoever prepared it, it had that extra care ✨). The staff are kind, attentive, and create a warm, lowkey atmosphere that makes the whole experience feel personal. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one deserves the spotlight.
