“I used to go to their Vancouver location on Main St a long time ago, and only rediscovered them about a month ago. My son is celiac and has a number of food allergies so he has never had ice cream at an ice cream shop before. This is also partly because no staff at a store has ever had the time or interest to help, usually we are just told “no we can’t do that” or “he can’t have anything then”. The staff and Asacia, the owner, have been outstanding in helping us find a selection of ice cream flavours, ice cream sandwiches plus an ice cream cake for Christmas he can safely enjoy and was absolutely delicious for all!

I am always thankful to any business that takes food allergies seriously, but extremely grateful when they show interest and care in finding something that works and ensuring it’s safe. Innocent Ice Cream does so and in a patient and kind way. This is where we go for ice cream and special desserts now!“

“I had a very disappointing experience here. I had a “WE SPEND” voucher that clearly listed this store and its address. Before leaving, I double-checked to make sure everything was correct. While I was waiting in line, the staff started talking to me and asked me to choose an ice cream flavor, so I said coconut and pistachio. By the time I reached the counter, they had already scooped one for me. Then they told me they received a call yesterday saying they would no longer accept the voucher. I was left with no choice but to pay, and it felt like I was being forced into a purchase rather than being supported in enjoying a local business. On top of that, this gelato isn’t even half as good as Passione Gelato—which is cheaper too. Completely frustrating and disappointing.“

“Stopped by Bendick’s Ice Cream Factory looking for the very first time and was instantly greeted by the sweetest lady—pretty sure her name was Monika. She was super friendly, helpful, and incredibly knowledgeable about all sorts of ice cream and especially allergy info (huge plus!).

Bought and tried the bucket of Kulfi Mango ice cream—WOW, absolutely delicious! Ended up grabbing a few boxes of popsicles too. Not only is this place serving top-tier ice cream, but Monika’s warm energy and customer service made the whole visit unforgettable. Thank-you for making me and my family so happy and for sharing your amazing knowledge about ice cream! 💛🍦

“The ice cream is located inside Whisk Match Cafe. The cafe has seating and lots of other lovely vegan treats. The soft serve is not available every day so we settled for a frozen tub of ice cream. It was really good. Matcha flavour without bitterness and much creamier than some vegan soft serve I’ve had elsewhere. They have rotating flavours and can check the schedule to tell you what flavours will be coming up. If you don’t live in Vancouver it can be a bit if a downer that the flavour you want isn’t available. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-23“

“Dropped by Baskin-Robbins for a sweet break and it totally hit the spot. The ice cream is always creamy, rich, and full of flavor — I went with two scoops (one fruity, one chocolatey) and both were super satisfying.

They have a wide variety of flavors, so it’s fun to try something new each time or stick with the classics. Staff were friendly and quick, and the shop was clean and well-kept.

A bit on the pricier side for ice cream, but the quality and portion make it feel worth it. Great for a casual dessert stop, whether you’re out with friends or just treating yourself.“

“I have been looking to visit this place for quite awhile when they were located originally on Broadway. I am very glad they reopened and they definitely did not disappoint. Me and my friends ordered their guava mousse cake, yuzu tart, and black forest cake. The guava cake had a very delectable fresh tart taste of guava with a mild sweet and sour after note, making it the most refreshing and light of the three on a hot summer day. The yuzu tart had similar sweet and sour citrus notes but less tropical than the guava cake. Nevertheless, it was also velvety and smooth in texture with a light tart shell. Finally, the Black Forest cake was moist but had subtle hints of dryness in some bites. It was also light in sweetness with the signature tartness from the cherries and red wine infusion. However, the cherry jelly in the cake was a bit bland and more or less felt like an attempt of adding a unique spin on a Black Forest cake. Overall, would highly recommend giving this place a try!“

“We found this cafe in the late afternoon of a Saturday. We needed an energy boost after walking around Granville Island. We go to Granville Island quite often, but we have never been to this side and have never noticed this cafe.

We ordered a coffee, a cookie and a tart. Everything tasted great, but they were priced towards the higher range.

The interior design looked good, too. However, towards the closing hours, the cafe might not look its best in terms of tidiness. There was a lady having a video cal behind me, and she was quite loud. She also played her hair at the same time, so much so that her hands touched my head a few times, which was quite annoying. Not the fault of the cafe, though. Perhaps if the chair was not placed so close to me, it could have helped.

In a higher end cafe like this, I did not expect people being loud like that. However, I am not a regular to cafes, so I do not have an idea of how people normally behave.“
