“I ordered a Vanilla/Chocolate fudge/Chocolate Chip Cookie crust ice cream cake for my partner on her birthday, and we were absolutely floored by how great it was! I requested that they decorate the cake with Happy Birthday message, expecting it to be written in frosting. I was so surprised to see that it was displayed in little chocolate letters! The presentation was perfect and made her day extra special. If you're celebrating the birthday of a gluten-free loved one, I promise you that goodies from Innocent will make it perfect. “First I'd like to say the shop was not open and I could smell the chocolate the door was unlocked! I say hello they say sorry we are closed ... I apologize.. about to shut the door and the owner not only invites me in but is getting ready for an event. Him and is wonderful staff not only invite me and my friend with a broken foot in while they are setting up for an event proceeds to all about our day💜 now i get home and the chocolate .. oh the chocolate.. this is 80% intense dark chocolate i picked out of the millions of flavors nom nom nom that I want to try... it was perfect not to bitter.. the perfect amount and exactly as he said creamy smooth after taste. I actually buy alot of chocolate from fancy places but this is now prob my new fav . I only tried 1 so far but I highly recommend but the only thing I would say go when they are opened lol 😆 😅 but very very impressed with this place the owner the service and the chocolate. “I had a very disappointing experience here. I had a “WE SPEND” voucher that clearly listed this store and its address. Before leaving, I double-checked to make sure everything was correct. While I was waiting in line, the staff started talking to me and asked me to choose an ice cream flavor, so I said coconut and pistachio. By the time I reached the counter, they had already scooped one for me. Then they told me they received a call yesterday saying they would no longer accept the voucher. I was left with no choice but to pay, and it felt like I was being forced into a purchase rather than being supported in enjoying a local business. On top of that, this gelato isn’t even half as good as Passione Gelato—which is cheaper too. Completely frustrating and disappointing.“

“Don't tell anybody about this place. It's too good for some people to know about. It's a hidden ice cream store in the middle of industrial south Vancouver. I heard about the prices and I had to see for myself. This place is legit. Heads up if you are going they prefer cash and you may get a 50¢ extra charge on your card. Other than that it's a well kept shop and the people were nice. I bought a box of popsicles and a 1L tub of ice cream for $8.50 that's insane while some people are waiting >1hour for Ernest which sells at a way higher price Bendicks sells at bulk prices. Bring your friends and give them an NDA or the secret will be lost 🙂“

“The ice cream is located inside Whisk Match Cafe. The cafe has seating and lots of other lovely vegan treats. The soft serve is not available every day so we settled for a frozen tub of ice cream. It was really good. Matcha flavour without bitterness and much creamier than some vegan soft serve I’ve had elsewhere. They have rotating flavours and can check the schedule to tell you what flavours will be coming up. If you don’t live in Vancouver it can be a bit if a downer that the flavour you want isn’t available. Updated from previous review on 2024-09-23“

“We came in after dinner on a weeknight. There were a couple of people enjoying ice cream at their designated seating. We ordered three children's cones. The staff member (Manraj) even let my kids try a couple of flavours before they committed their flavour. My kids had a great time until my daughter decided to jump around with her cone outside of the store—her ice cream fell on the ground. She was quite upset and we walked in and told the staff member what had happened and she did not hesitate to replace the cone happily. We will definitely be coming here for our ice cream from now on.“

“Cute little in-house gelato place, right in the tiny square outside by the water. We got their dark chocolate, hazelnut chocolate, and raspberry lime flavored gelato and they were INCREDIBLE! Especially the raspberry lime one!! I'll definitely be back for that one, and to try the lemon flavor !“

“The counter staff were being yelled at by a rather unhinged individual (see previous 1-star review).

The customer was angry because Dairy Queen didn’t have enough non-dairy options for her liking.
The counter staff attempted to explain that they don’t have anything to do with the menu and she raised her voice at them, made some rude comments, and stood outside the store taking photos of us.

Despite the cuckoo bananas customer, the employee served me with a smile and friendly attitude. the pumpkin pie blizzard is SO GOOD by the way- definitely get it with the whipped cream topping 🤩“

Parking: In front of the store as well as across the street

Wheelchair accessibility: I’ve seen wheelchairs come in. The entrance is on the same level as the sidewalk. Inside is spacious enough to maneuver, and the large table in the middle is a great height.“
