“We visited again from Sask and did not disappoint! Amazing! Well worth the wait in line! I had the tuna on salad! And my husband had the halibut fish and chips with a side of the chowder. The chowder was his favourite. Still taking about it. The staff were also fantastic. Friendly and very efficient! For the amount of people served and the small space we were amazed at how spotless the kitchen was. Highly recommend a visit here!!“

“This is our must go to restaurant when we visit Victoria via boat for 30 years. First-year there I ordered the BlackBerry halibut and every year since then I order it and it's still my favorite cooked perfect, it's hard to make halibut moist like butter. My husband loves the olive tapenade they serve with their focaccia bread and will get an extra bowl to pour on his pasta. Best cheese cake too. Great culture, attention to detail, they even use copper water pitchers, the water is great.“

“I shall have to come back and try it again, it was very good. I had the Takoyaki Appetizer, deep fried octopus balls and for the main course Black Arashi Tan Tan - Black sesame base with pork belly, egg, spinach, bamboo shoots, crushed peanuts, chili oil, garlic, green onion and nori seaweed.“

“Chicken and ribs were great but steaks were salty, poorly cooked and dry (raw then overcooked dry). Staff was excellent and we've had one great steak there (last year) but now the bad steaks outnumber the good and they now marinate in what seems a salty smoke marinade. Ribs were great though... and service was excellent.“

If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.“

“My first visit to Finn's was 2 weeks ago to take a friend for a birthday lunch. I enjoyed it so much, I just returned with another friend her birthday lunch! We appreciated the restaurant's thoughtful acknowledgement of the special occasion. :) Finn's has an elegant ambience with opportunity for quiet conversation. The menu is reasonably priced and expansive, including options for casual meals as well as more robust main courses. The food is delicious and all beautifully presented. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and patient with lingering diners. I've added it to my go-to list of downtown restaurants!“

“Really comfortable brewery/distillery to stop in and grab a pint and a bite. The beer selections i had was delicious and refreshing. Although I didn't find the menu of food particularly appealing, your needs are probably different than mine, so have at it. The people working there were friendly and knew about their beers. Definitely stop in. If I find myself there again, I'll be trying the gin and whiskey.“

Everything tastes fresh, home cooked, and cooked with love. Shared the steak platter, side salad, and the delicious sticky toffee pudding while listening to live jazz music tonight. Can’t wait till the next time.“

“Today was our first meal at Dosa Paragon - we will be back for the best Indian food in Victoria. We are glad the server recommended Chicken 65 as it was truly delicious alongside the flavourful chutneys. The chef owner chatted with us about the traditional ways and ingredients they use. “Amazing place! amazing beer! Amazing people! We don’t usually drink beer, and we enjoyed the beer and food so much, after a long bike ride, so we went back for a second time in a week. As we were enjoying the good tasting beer, my husband dropped and lost his wedding band under the terrasse floor. As we’re looking for it, the staff came, they removed a long wooden piece of the floor so we can look for it, and they found it!!! We are blessed to have met those nice people! “I’m originally from the Carolinas and my husband and I have lived in Victoria since 2019. We’ve been walking past Shanzee’s for a while now and decided to have breakfast there this morning. It didn’t disappoint. The biscuits and gravy were just like “home” and my iced oat milk latte was just what I needed. The Blue Grit pancakes were unique and delicious. Thank you for being here!
