“My absolute go-to coffee shop in town. The staff are always super smiley, friendly, and happy to tailor your drink exactly how you want it.
As a tea person, this spot is hands-down my favourite for a proper London Fog—paired with a fresh ham & cheese croissant or one of their juicy, house-made loaves after a Saturday run along the seawall. Pure bliss.
Special shout-out to their double-shot flat white: it’s on another level compared to the big chains. You’ve honestly resurrected my faith that a tasty, perfectly-tempered (not mouth-burning!) coffee actually exists.“

“Came here on Tuesday night for the first time. The vibe was warm and comfortable. We were seated by the fireplace which felt extra cozy, and not too loud considering it was right beside the bar.

I ordered the roasted turkey clubhouse (added cheese) and it was really good! There seemed to be a layer of marinated (lemony?) kale on the sandwich, and I really enjoyed it but there was no mention of it in the description on the menu. The fries were pretty good but the portion felt small. Fine for me, but my husband was still hungry after his meal. He ordered the Malibu Club and enjoyed the flavors, just wished there was more to it. While the burger was small compared to my sandwich, the overall value was still decent for the quality and ingredients.

Service was OK. The staff at the front were pleasant, and so was our server, but aside from refilling our water we did not see her once in between ordering our meals and finishing/requesting the bill. Meaning, she did not stop by to ask how our meal was or if we needed anything after the kitchen staff delivered our meals.“

May I start by saying that I had the best egg&cheese muffin paired with an even amazing Americano ☕️ - kudos to the connoisseurs behind the scenes!
On a different note, I am saddened and slightly annoyed at some of the tone-deaf and negative reviews about this location. My work experience in the service and quality assurance industry has made me resilient to subjective behaviour, but this one takes the medal 🏅 The over-sheltered and pampered individuals who disliked the service, taste and temperature of their cafeteria food not being able to meet their inflated standards, could have easily communicated eloquently and asked for a little more to make their experience better - a simple smile, a different food item or correction to the order may have been more helpful; kindness will only come back as kindness.
Finally, the purpose of Google reviews is to help the public make educated and friendly choices and not to be subjected to an individual's frustrations. Peace ✌️ and Praise 🙏“

“Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!“

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

I just had their expertly done Friday french dip and was compelled to write a review for this little downtown Vancouver gem. I normally stop in for the their black angus reuben sandwich (in my opinion one of their specialties), but had a change of heart. Not only is the owner taking your order but he’s preparing everything in house as well (with help I imagine). “Stopped by Kramky Cafe for the first time today and I’m really glad I did. It’s in my neighborhood but a bit out of my usual route, so this was my first visit and definitely not my last.

The two staff working today were incredibly kind and welcoming, which immediately set a good tone. The place has a great vibe. It’s cozy, small, and very much a neighborhood café feel, with nice music playing in the background that makes you want to slow down and enjoy your coffee.

I had their drip coffee, which was really good, and I liked that they use Moja Coffee, a solid Vancouver local roaster. I paired it with a sugar-free berry muffin, and the only sweetness comes from the banana, blueberry, and pineapple. It tasted clean, light, and surprisingly satisfying. Perfect for breakfast without feeling heavy. Best of all, come early around 730 and you’re in for some warm baked goods fresh from the oven!

Overall, great coffee, thoughtful food, kind service, and a relaxed neighborhood atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try something else next time.“

The atmosphere of the restaurant, especially being that it’s a house that was transformed into a fine dining spot, is spot on, never been disappointed with their food nor their service. The interior is bright and inviting great for office lunch meeting or a relaxed meal by yourself and the service was prompt even when busy. Whether you’re craving bold Vietnamese flavours or just a cozy place to enjoy mindful, delicious food, this place truly shines. I recently tried the 1978 Pho Soup and the Saigon Bowl both were standouts! The pho had a rich, aromatic broth with perfect layers of lemongrass, ginger, turmeric, star anise and tender chicken it felt deeply comforting and well balanced, with great fresh herbs and noodles that soaked up the flavour beautifully. Both dishes were generously portioned and full of vibrant Vietnamese flavours perfect for a cozy lunch or dinner. 
The hand cut Taro chips were a delightful starter perfectly crispy with a hint of earthiness, and paired wonderfully with the paprika garlic tofu dip. They were so good they almost stole the show before the main course even arrived!
Overall, every dish was fresh, flavourful, and felt lovingly made. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service made the experience even better, highly recommend these must-try items if you’re craving Vietnamese food with personality!“

Then, when she was asked to bring the correct items she was annoyed and after rectifying things, which she did, didn't visit our table again, meet our eyes when passing or ask if we needed another round.
