“I was recently did take out with a friend submitted a review suggesting that he received food poisoning from the food..I ate the same food from the same containers that he ate from and had leftovers the next day with another friend and were fine. The food was delicious ,portions were generous and when they forgot to put all the containers in the bag to take away i called them to mention this and they offered to add prawn and crab rolls to compensate for there mistake..i would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant..“

“Very fast service, immaculate food presentation, a very chillz relaxed atmosphere, close to bus stop, as I’m holiday here from Sydney. The best dish I would recommend is La Vong rolls.“

- excellent pizza
- gorgeous views of the harbour and ocean beyond
- you can walk up to the trestle bridge after you inevitably eat way too much pizza (it's SO good) and work off some calories
- the vibes are vibing at all times

Cons:
- if you don't get one of the tables in the covered area, there's NO shade on the lawn. Recommend to bring an umbrella or shade tent on a hot day
- the bathroom situation is lacking. While better than an outhouse or porta-potty, there is often a line for the washrooms and they are often dirty and overflowing with garbage“

“The food's of great quality, and I find myself ordering from here often when I come by. Their OPA! platters are a standout, but I also find myself ordering their wraps, fries and pita often too. Service is good, although lines may accumulate during busy hours.“

“Overall experience here was great! The food was super fresh, customer service was on point as expected and the atmosphere was incredibly lively. There’s so much happening here which can get a bit overwhelming, especially with all of the clashing sounds. You’ve got the main music, birthday celebrations with tambourines and the hand pulled noodle guy that walks around with his own speaker! On top of that, it’s also incredibly busy. The only thing that genuinely made my table uncomfortable was the noodle guy. He came to our table and hit our friend in the face and head with the noodle multiple times. At first it was funny, but as it kept going we got increasingly more uncomfortable. He hit all 3 of us in the faces and the entire experience made us feel really weird. Other than that, everything else was great. The waiting area is super spacious and they have lots to do to keep you distracted and busy while you wait!“

“Oku Izakaya is a complete package of experience, vibe and flavor in one place. I was greated with a positive energy, a warm welcome as soon as I stepped in the restaurant or "heaven ". Yes I felt like I was in heaven. My table was ready with a sign showing Welcome with my name. Details, just magic details. The menu is small but small was not the amazing and delicious authentic Japanese food experience, the best in my life.“

“Loveliest little shop that serves delicious pastries, sandwiches, soups, specialty beverages, etc. There are also Italian groceries and tons of beautiful treats. It's so cozy and warm, and currently beautifully decorated for Christmas; a highlight this time of year is the eggnog latte, perfectly foamed and spiced. Every team member I've dealt with over the past few days during my visit here from Ontario has been lovely, kind, and accommodating, and if I lived here, you can be sure I'd be a regular at this warm and inviting neighbourhood spot. “めちゃめちゃうまかった！Had sockeye salmon don and saikyo-zuke tara don both came with unique satisfying flavours and totally made our day. So appreciative of their efforts to offer such high-quality meals. You can tell generous good people running this place for sure which made me feel good being there. Cafe space is a part of office building foyer nice and open space (when building entrance locked you can buzz then building security lets you in). Oh did I mention matcha latte the flavour is very similar to what you would find on streets in Kyoto - simple goodness.“

“The first thing that hit me was how clean the venue was. The staff was very friendly. We chose the prix fixe. The steak was one of the best I’ve tasted because there were no tough bits at all and the sauce was SO good. The side salad was well balanced. I am GF so I asked for veggies on the side and they gave me these grilled mushrooms that were very addictive. The cocktails were delicious and my husband’s wine was so good.“

“Great Bubble tea and dessert place

I enjoyed my caramel pudding fresh milk tea with pearls, and also the little custard filled dessert (Taiyaki) that comes as a combo.

The store offers a stylish ambience and there are some boardgames offered, I find that's inviting.

Only sad thing: They make you order on a touch screen and that removes the in-person interaction with their staff. The machine still asks for a tip...“

“Came here a couple times while I was in town. The coffee is excellent. Also loved the oatmeal chocolate chip cookie and green breakfast wrap. The indoor space is pretty small. I think it's fine if you're at one of the tables, but it can feel pretty cramped or like you're always in someone's way when you're in line or waiting for your order. I wish they had a takeout window to resolve this. Thanks for the excellent coffee and food!“

“Adorable little cafe with amazing sandwiches on fresh baked foccaccia. They also have panini sandwiches and espresso drinks. Comfortable indoor seating, chill vibes, and friendly staff. I had the Marseille sandwich, which was turkey and brie on foccaccia. It was huge and enough for 2 meals, for $17. Unlike some nearby cafes that we passed on, they make the sandwiches to order instead of serving them pre-made.“

“This coffee shop is one of my favourite place on Lonsdale. They have such a variety of food and everything is fresh and tastes very good. The place is small but very nice and cozy. The staff is kind and friendly.
I like to come here whenever I have chance and I highly recommend this “little gem” as it’s worth visiting.

“Do not expect to get a table here. There were only 2 seats when we visited, so expect to get takeout. The waiting time for takeout was only 15 minutes on a Saturday for lunch.

We got 5 rolls, and the fish was very fresh and from Japan. Our favourite roll was the Yuki House Roll which is 5 pieces, but generously stuffed full of multiple fish. The Salmon Oshi was also pretty good, but a little too much sauce for our preference.

Would recommend if you're craving really fresh takeout sushi.“

“Had dinner here with my friends last week and everything was amazing! The food was delicious, and the staff were all very friendly. Zoey was our server and she was outstanding and made our experience even better. We ordered the pho, soft-shell crab, and lobster roll. Every dish was excellent. The pho broth was especially tasty, and the noodles were just like the ones I atein Vietnam!“

“Beth is one of the kindest people I know, and has created a great community hub. She initiated setting up Leg-In-Boot Square live music, with picnic tables and patio umbrellas. She does many good works, and helps many people. AND her baking & cooking are fabulous. The view is great, too.“

“My mom and I visited on Christmas for brunch and it was delicious! I loved the interior/decor and the whole theme of portraits that you can actually purchase. (I loved the bathroom sink!) I got the mushroom hash and my mom got the bacon eggs benedict.

I loved the hash, the potatoes were tasty, the mushroom and onions were good and there wasn't too much cheese as I am not a huge fan of cheese. Sourdough toast was good. I don't like sunny-side eggs though so I just ate the whites. It came with a lot of sour cream, salsa was nice. My mom loved her dish and again potatoes were yummy!

There was a line up so we waited over 30mins I think but we were given a small tea while we waited. There is very limited seating as the place is quite small. But certainly cozy once seated! Even the table was art! Staff was super friendly! We will be back again“

“Came for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered ramen and requested to remove veggies. I tried Yokohama Iekei Ramen & Karaage on my first time here. I ended up eating karaage without dipping the tartar sauce because it was better without any sauce.“

“February 10th, 2023 was such a tiring day. I had classes at UCW till late and, as a good hungry taurine, I had to eat something delicious to make me feel well. Also, it had to be mandatorily vegan, so I would also keep my mind in peace. While searching for a restaurant with vegan options, I saw this sushi one, called Cofu Pressed Sushi. It was not far from UCW Vancouver House (around 15 minutes by bus) and it would be open till 9:00 PM. So, I decided to go there. I called my husband and we met there. The restaurant is not that large, and they have just a few tables, just the way I like it. But the best, in my opinion, was that it was so clean, fragrant, and decorated with such a good neatness that I felt a cozy mood as soon as I entered. Nevertheless, we were very well welcomed by the server, and he explained the whole menu to us. Besides they former factors I mentioned, the latter is the most important in my opinion. The way I am hosted and treated in any commercial place makes the whole difference in my final perception. I took the Aichi combo from the Omakase Menu. This combo had plant-based tuna (made of jackfruit), tofu, avocado, fresh mix veggie, and a sauce made of vivid beets and spicy mayo. As for my husband, he chose the Ofu combo. It had plant-based salmon (made of carrot and konjac), pumpkin, eggplant, red & yellow bell pepper, and a sauce made of cilantro, cucumber, and wild carrot. As the picture shows, the dish presentations were so beautiful, showing the food as something delicate, that the sushi master really took care of it. Last, but not least, the taste. It was so delicious! Every bite mattered to me. I was hungry, but I took every sushi slowly to feel all flavours and had the best sensory experience. For some the amount of food may look little, but I guarantee it made me fill satisfied. As a whole, I felt really delighted and I wish to return there soon to order the other options.“
