“I can't speak highly enough of this place. The food is fantastic, the chefs are dedicated to their craft, the service is stellar. I think the only shortcoming is that it can get quite loud when it's busy, but you can't really blame a restaurant for that. This is a fantastic place to eat. It also has the perk of being in Whistler village but not in the more tourist saturated heart of the village, so you can often still get in on busy nights.“

“It opens at 16:30, so if you go a little before then you won't have to wait.If you go around 5pm, you'll have to wait about 50 minutes. If you go around 6pm, you'll have to wait about 2 hours. The nigiri was authentic and very delicious. The taste of the soup stock for the udon noodles was a mystery, but the fried chicken and other dishes had a true Japanese taste.Although the price is high, we recommend it because you can enjoy delicious Japanese food.“

“We ordered the house combo and 2 tempura udons. The sushi is delicious and fresh! My son doesn’t like the tempura udon, but my husband and I find it acceptable, considering the price and the fact that we’re in a resort area. I don’t expect the same quality of udon as in a high-end restaurant. The prices are very reasonable, comparable to what I paid for some pastries this morning. The tempura is crispy. I give it five stars.“

“Enjoyed a quick meal with a friend before attending a class nearby. The entrance is inside the Westin, and is easy to access from the village or there’s parking underground. The restaurant is small, but has a bar area and two larger sectioned off seating areas at the back for groups. We had a couple rolls (spicy tuna and the tropical roll), a couple pieces of nigiri (inari and tamago), agadashi tofu and gomae. Everything was super fresh and the service was fantastic. The owner came to our table to see how everything was and when we left, sent us off with some treats and some new chopsticks from Japan - so sweet! I don’t dine out a ton in town but when I do, I’m reminded that visiting locally owned businesses like Ka-Ze really make for a special experience ?ps - I’d love to know what those treats were, I ate them so fast and didn’t take a photo of the label!“

Big favorite for the sashimi which was really incredible, and for the chicken too. Very nice selection of sake and several choices of cocktails too :)“

“The day old half price food is perfect for those of us struggling to afford food in whistler. I got a half price day old beef domburi, gyoza and some teriyaki sauce. This made the perfect meal for me super yummy. Nice little spot I'd totally recommend although figuring out the entrance and which bit is which confused me at first“
