“We finally made it to La Chata in downtown Templeton after hearing so many good things, and it absolutely lived up to the word of mouth.

We had the chance to meet the owner, Erika, who is an absolute gem. She walked us through how she makes everything from scratch daily, and it truly shows when the plates arrive. The presentation was beautiful and the food tasted just as good as it looked.

I ordered the red enchiladas and they were incredible. Erika was also so thoughtful and brought our son his own rice and beans to go along with my plate, which we really appreciated. My wife had the chicken taquitos and couldn’t stop raving about how fresh and flavorful they were.

Portions and pricing felt extremely fair, especially for the level of quality compared to the average North County Mexican spot. The downtown Templeton location is quaint and charming with easy parking.

Between the amazing food and Erika’s top notch service, we’ll definitely be back often, especially once we move to Atascadero and are only about 10 minutes away. We’re excited to have them nearby and will absolutely be passing along the same positive word of mouth!”

“One of the originals in Paso! Thankfully a place that still does great Zin's in addition to their others like the excellent Ms Behave Malbec. Great Rose' as well, very light and easy to drink, perfect for the hotter days. Jessica was excellent as well as was the yard cat who greeted us.”

“Ate there last night and was pleasantly surprised. The outside looked ordinary and unassuming but then we entered the door. Good selection on the menu. Clean. Friendly staff. Pool table! Food was served in just a few minutes. It was awesome! Pizzas were fresh and the crust was yummy. The gyro was very good. We were more than satisfied.”

Trivia Night is a hoot and the music scene for the space is great! Definitely a space to go. They book events, private parties, they support local non profits.”

“I went to the one in Paso Robles that is i On creston but their website does. Not show the one in Paso just in Templeton . I was super impressed they did a beautiful job on redecorating the new place the service was excellent and quick . I had the Philly cheese steak it was absolutely delicious. My other party had the tortilla soup and some else had the chili they both said it was excellent . We ordered a side of the onion rings they very good not too heavy tasting nor greasy just perfect. Our waitress was very tentative checked in on us often and super polite . Definitely will be back again . Highly recommend this place . They have something for everyone huge menu .They even have something for the vegan, gluten free person.”
