“Last Saturday we ordered a lot of food from the melt. The whole crew was working overtime and we all ordered multiple items and the crew absolutely killed it. Lady working the cashier was absolutely amazing. Sweetest lady ever. The cooks were amazing and they have a very good crew working. The only names I received were Mar, Janeka, Dom and Tone but everyone was incredible and we definitely will be back.“

“My husband and I love the melt! Shout out especially to Gabby and V. Gabby is always on top of her game, she even remembers our order when we pick up and happily gives our extra pickles and ranch:) V is always outstanding in her customer service, filling any request with a genuine smile.

“The fried chicken sandwich and tater tot’s are wonderful.

Went here off a recommendation of my son who works close by. What a find. The food is freshly made to order and the chicken patty is deliciously unique. Not a raising canes, not a chick fil a. It’s makes its own name with a seasoned breaded crispy batter that is sliced into strips. Almost like a chicken fried steak.

The chicken goes really well with the mayo and slaw so that is how we ordered it. And would do it again.

Happy hour all day on the weekend so make sure to get a loaded tator tot (nacho cheese, bacon, and green onions on top).

All in a, a fun spot to pop in and get some food. Dining area is limited, but there is also seating out front.“

“Tried it for the first time yesterday. We’ve walked by many times during lunch, thinking it was just another fast food chicken place…..finally gave it a try. It was excellent and staff was friendly. Chicken was fresh and crispy. They have many spice levels to choose from. Medium was plenty hot for me. The chicken tender was great, but the sliders were even better. Totally recommend this place!“

“Lunch at The Roost is one of our favorites in SF. As a pescatarian, this is actually the ONLY chicken I eat, anywhere - and it is delicious. The adobo seasoning is fabulous. Cole slaw has a unique flavor that I wish I could replicate at home. Do try the sweet potato croquettes, but leave room for their brown butter cookies!“

The prices are extremely affordable. And there were many specials to choose from.
Now on to the food. I had basa & chicken both were seasoned good, & fried to perfection.
I also had the Yams & Mac & Cheese. The yams are 🔥
The Mac & cheese was NOT Mac'n 😂. A totally miss. It was thick & the noodles were overcooked. So if you're looking for a creamy & cheesy Mac & cheese go somewhere else.

“Randomly wandered in here, and was very pleased with the food options.
Its is burgers, fries, etc. so don't expect a lot of non-meat things on the menu. Prices are also higher than your chain places, and also because this is in SanFran.
Ordering was pretty fast and efficient, and the staff working there both times I stopped in were on point. (You can order via kiosk or at the counter).
Food tasted very fresh, the fountain drink options were local flavors of pop, which I really liked.
Seating was fairly plentiful, and the security & regular staff kept the location pretty clean & tidy.
Definetly a restaurant I'd dine at regularly, just to try all the various items on the menu.“

“Had to check out Cals tonight with some friends while on the town! The food was great! We got the Mac & Chicken and the Chicken sandwich’s. One thing to be aware about is the price. However for those more expensive items the portions are HUGE! Definitely a good place to stop while visiting Berkeley!“

The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the cali ingredients added, it was a plain old classic cluckwich. Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly. Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. “RT rotisserie doesn't need my praise..... it seem like they have at least two possibly a third coming, up and down oak st. So they're doing things right and I just wanted to add my two cents. I got the pork belly bowl with the chimmy sauce. Cooked rice, cooked pork belly cubes, fresh mild raw an pickeled vegetables sliced and shredded of course sauce of your choice. It was just thrown together in a bowl. But here's the thing, every bite was to my liking how do they do that? Makes me think they know what they're doing.“

“Great chicken sandwiches! The curly fries are decent but unremarkable, and were mostly small pieces. The interior music is loud and the bass is cranked up, so eat at the outside tables to take your food to the park across the street. Not a fan of the 5% fee on top of taxes, just show us the real prices please!“

“Loved getting dinner here! My favorite dish was the fried chicken with gravy (with house hot sauces on the side if you like spice!). The blooming onion was delicious, would recommend getting it for a group versus just 2 people because it’s a lot! Got a slice of chocolate cake to go and it was so good. “Lemme tell you dude this place is like walking into a candy store as an abnormally large child. Amazing food, amazing staff, amazing atmosphere with the birds everywhere. Let me tell you though, taking a bit of that food is like a virgin getting some for the first time. Single best meatball I've ever tasted in my 18 years of existence. One of the best pizzas I've ever had. The second if not first best bowl of spaghetti I've ever had. If I was an inmate at Alcatraz I'd escape it just to ear here. Felt like I was dining in what a dude named Sal would call heaven. Definitely recommend , definitely coming back next time I'm in this city.“
