“I placed my Drive-Thru order on the mobile app before a chore run, well ahead of time, as I have done for years, at 6:21pm. I pulled up around 7:01pm and was handed my order immediately. A little confused, I shrugged it off though soon realized my food was cold and soggy.

I noticed on the bag that it was ready for pickup at 6:27pm, well before I was there. Upon returning to inquire, I was told that you cannot specify a time for Drive-Thru, and had to argue/insist that it's Taco Bell policy to not start making the order until the name is given at the Drive-Thru.

I had checked the website before leaving, so it felt extremely disrespectful to be argued with around the matter because they didn't want to admit the mistake. They finally gave in and remade my order as they should. I understand trying to get ahead of orders, but you shouldn't break policy to do so or this kind of thing can happen.

The situation was appropriately remediated and I feel bad if I stressed anyone out (thus the 4-star), thank you.“

“I've been told about Phila Burger for a while now, but never had a chance to stop and eat. I finally had the opportunity the other day, so I popped by and grabbed the Phila Burger to take home.

The wait for my burger was less than 10 minutes (or at least felt like it). The guy who rang me up was nice, and the burger was good and maintained the majority of its structural integrity by the time I'd gotten home (you gotta take it home to eat or grub on the road as there's nowhere to sit and eat casually with the exception of a few chairs that operate as a waiting area).“

“Came here on a whim after some golf with a friend. One of the best gyros I have had in years! Really kind and attentive staff as well. I would not hesitate to go back if I am in the area again.
Seating is a little sparse and the layout is a little cramped, but absolutely delicious food and really friendly staff. I would absolutely recommend if you are looking for some great lunch.“

“Amazing service and a small, clean atmosphere. The restaurant seats 18 people max, with one table seating 6, 2 tables sitting 4, and 4 single spots to sit facing the window. The patty was slightly disappointing on the “Cheezburger”, but the fries made up for it. Would definitely go again!“

“When I went there there was a line of vehicles from the pick up window out unto Willie Stargell Avenue. This In-N-Out Burger Location in Alameda is located in The Alameda Landing Area, and is very popular with not only the local population, but also with visitors that The Great City of Alameda receives yearly.“

“Was REALLY disappointed to discover Sliders had removed the self-serve bar, but I understand the difficulty of maintaining something like that, especially during the COVID era. For YEARS I used to get a double patty chili cheeseburger with fries. At the condiment bar I would add mushrooms, olives, onions and mayo. Now, no more condiment bar, or custom chili burgers, but its still a great San Francisco lunch spot. Definitely recommend.
Edit: Recently tried their Philly cheesesteak...it is the ONLY cheesesteak sandwich I can eat without adding condiments. No mayonnaise, no anything: just the seasoned meat, cheese and bun -- its perfect as is. Well done!“

“Small clean building, fully able to see the cook/owner in the rear cooking up some of the best fish around.

My mom can fry great tasting fish and after I ate the first fillet of my catfish, I called my mom to tell her that Joshuas’ fish tasted like hers.

The fried were slightly crunchy on the outside and soft and moist on the inside.

I usually don’t appreciate the taste of tartar sauce, I usually throw it away after the first taste, but the tartar sauce was delicious and when I finished my last piece of fish my tartar sauce container was emptied.

I appreciate the pleasant woman at the front window. Each time I drove down from Modesto and I stop at Joshuas’ to get that home-style fried fish to take home - if it makes it home, she has always given a warm smile. She has asked me each time how I want my fish and fries cooked. I like my fish cooked harder than normal. It has never been overcooked or dry. I like my fries cooked slightly crunchy but soft inside.

I have been very satisfied with the service and the food. The taste, the presentation. 8 out of 5 stars.

The building is not for dining inside nor outside. Get your food and go enjoy it at home but not there.

I noticed that people call in their orders so I’m not sure if they have an app, maybe orders are called in.

Cost depends on what you order. Sizes are good.

“The food here is really good. I have tried the burgers, grilled chicken, and fried chicken and would recommend them all. It's a good value for the price too. I also enjoyed the garlic fries (VERY garlicky!) and onion rings. My only nitpick is that the sweet potato fries were pretty bland and I wish they had more seasoning. “LOVED the food here!!! It is a lot of rice so be prepared (less filling more rice) and that disappointed one person in our group but it did have a ton of flavor. The spicy ones are SPICY! They have gluten free options clearly marked. The staff were not friendly per se but they did answer a question I had on allergens. Not a long wait which was nice too. All in all this was delicious and I’ll be going back for sure.“

The best part is my area has brick and mortar stores where I just walk in and buy my meal prep for the week...Meals cooked in a local kitchen by real chefs with local fresh ingredients. I'm busy all the time and although I love cooking it's hard to cook for just one person. The majority of meals are 600 calories or less. An easy way for me to stay in my calorie deficit. “Note to management: My partner and I waited for over 20 minutes to order and then another 15 minutes for our pizza and ice cream (both delicious!) on a Wednesday evening after 9pm. The pizza came within 5 minutes and then we waited longer for the ice cream. There were only 2 very hard working staff on site and I witnessed over 20 less patient folks leave the line because it took so long to order. The staff were clearly overwhelmed with managing online delivery orders and taking orders from people in line plus preparing and handing over orders.
Hiring an extra 1-2 people would have helped so much! I'll probably order again but online and in advance - but then my pizza would likely be cold by the time the full order is ready which is unfortunate!“

The best part is they don't skimp on toppings and follow the company's guidelines for a great sandwich. “So I’ve never been a fan of tteokbokki, I’ve tried making myself to like it but never was able to. I tried their Rose tteokbokki and it slapped so good, it was so freaking cheesy and so meaty. It took me from not being a fan to making this my weekly fatty Friday day. Their Korean hot dogs are really good too, last time I came here I ordered both and ate it inside by the window and a guy outside just kept staring at me with disgust while I was devouring my food, I kept trying to hide behind the window poster and was kind of successful.“

Perfectly fried, no batter, just flour and amazing seasoning. Has a slight acidic, spicy vein running through the seasoning. Really quite satisfying at 2am when the bars close, or buy a bucket for Sunday picnic. It's a franchise, so you can find it in most cities, at least in California. But again, it's in a gas station convenience store, so it's not a dine-in, seated meal. Some of the best fast food out there! I mean, who doesn't crave fried chicken every now and then?!“

“East Oakland hood staple for dry fried ribs, chow mein, sweet & sour, and everything Chinese food. It's an old school hole in the wall. Mom and Pops owned joint. Food is always good, affordable, and on point.
They have Combo meals for a nice and fair price.“

“It's a pretty basic place. It's not super clean. Looks like it's been here a long time. Many, many people came and went as I sat and ate. My food price is good and the food is fair. The portions are large. I don't have any complaints. That's a real bargain for the price.“

“Bongo Burger is still the best burger in the Bay.

What makes it so good is the style. It’s not a massive, overloaded burger… it’s light (but filling), balanced, and somehow they manage to make a thin patty that’s still cooked medium-rare, juicy, and perfectly pink in the center. That’s surprisingly hard to find.

The grilled onions have are so good on the burger, really make it a signature. Add fresh chopped lettuce, ripe tomato, and the classic Bongo Burger bun, and it’s just a perfect combo. Also the use of two different color cheeses really makes it visually appetizing.

The fries are equally impressive. They’re crispy on the outside but somehow stay soft, fluffy, and full of actual potato on the inside instead of drying out.

The cooks are talented clearly.

On top of all that, the prices are incredibly reasonable, the staff is always friendly, and the vibe feels like old Berkeley in the best possible way.

The Euclid location is my favorite. I grew up eating there in the ‘90s, and I’m amazed that the quality is still just as good today. Places like this are rare. I hope Bongo Burger is around forever.“

“Four stars because they clucked up one of the things we ordered. The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the cali ingredients added, it was a plain old classic cluckwich. Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly. Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious.
