“First time there, and the guy at the register was polite and helpful, and gave me a bottle of water without charging me. The food, two burgers and two fries, took about 15 minutes, and they added lettuce to my burger when I requested none, and the patty itself, wasn't anything special, looked about a 5 ounce patty, with the bun being too large for the patty. The fries, they were lightly salted, and had been frozen, which is normal for most places. The lobby area had a couple of tables and stools, definitely had the Cafe feel to it, but it also felt a little dirty. All in all, for the price, not worth it, would return if in the area, and the prices were a little lower. I may recommend. 7.5/10.“
“As soon as my husband and I walked in, the owner welcomed us with a warm smile. We both tried the cheeseburger, the fries, the chicken nuggets, and jalapeño poppers. The food was delicious and the service is excellent. We will definitely be back the next time we visit.“
“Really spectacular food and owners. A quaint, cozy storefront with truly outstanding food. Mediterranean-inspired burgers and sides, all with a strong emphasis on fermented ingredients. So thoughtfully crafted! And the kombucha itself was also delicious. Please, please go here!“
“This is one of the best hole in the wall restaurant I've been at in the city! This place is really small with only a couple of counter seats but the food is so delicious, especially the chicken that is so tender and comes off the bone easily with so much flavor! Their imperial roll is also amazing!!! Recommend coming here at lunch for their combo meal and the price is really good for the portion too10/10!!!“
“Straight fire. What an awesome little spot.I spent a couple hours here waiting for my mom.The vibes were good, and great portion sizes for super reasonable prices. Everything looked well presented and fresh. The interior was clean. The service was friendly. Thank you! ?“
“I got the 333 combo with three fried oysters, three fried shrimp, and three pieces of fried catfish. Everything was cooked PERFECTLY! Moist and tender meat with a crispy crust. Absolutely classic. The combo was a lot of food! It came with Louisiana style hot sauce, tartar sauce, and ketchup, as well as plenty of fries.Service was cheerful and very friendly. There isn't any seating, so it's really take-out only. The one minor criticism I have is that the fries were pretty mediocre, but they really aren't the main attraction here anyway.“
“Me specifically the best burgers in San Francisco is literally sliders. There’s nothing better than it. Trust me I mean I’ve tried almost the whole menu already so I recommend that everybody comes to the spot it’s sliders. It’s on polk and post. It’s a really really good place.“
“I live in Southern California but needed to provide lunch for 85 people at an event in Northern California. Our previous lunch plans fell through the day before the event. In a panic I called this location and spoke to the manager, Anjam. He was polite and professional and embraced the concept of customer service. I need sandwiches, chips, sodas, cookies, plates and napkins. Not only was he able to accommodate a large order with less than 24 hour notice he made sure one of his employees personally delivered it to ensure nothing went wrong. I can't express how impressed I am with how smoothly everything went and as well as their attention to detail.“
“Had the bbq sub and what I can say is that was the best sandwich I have had in a long time. Service was excellent and the whole place was extremely clean. I really recommend coming here because all I can say is that I will definitely be coming back here.“
“Great Food!Vegetarian options: Vegan&Vegetarian Options-Are There!-Just ASK!Dietary restrictions: Just ASK!Parking: Parkings-Aound In N Out@Alameda Landing Mall!Kid-friendliness: Employee's Friendly To Everyone!Wheelchair accessibility: Wheel-Chair Accessible@Front Door!&Parking For Disabled-Here!“
“We've been coming here for years as this is our go-to local spot for ice cream. Prices are fair and the staff is friendly. This place was a life-saver when my wife was pregnant and had late night cravings ?. It can get pretty busy especially during summers but there's usually one or two parking spots available.“
“James was the best expo! He made sure I got my extra chillies even though I forgot to order them. This entire staff works great under pressure and no one seems mad to be there when it’s busy. Overall they are fast and efficient! Love it here!“
“I love this place .The people are nice and the food is yummy. I specially appreciate them because they help people in the community .Food wise the shakes are so delicious as well as their burguers.Kid-friendliness: They are always nice to children.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is wheelchair accessible.“
“I've worked in the area over 8 years and admittedly walked past this place. Today I'm glad I stopped by! Looking for a quick snack or a meal Peasant Pies will fill both. Great location with plenty of seating and friendly staff make it an ideal spot for BLD! Savory and Sweet pies in a perfect portion will give a sandwich a run for the $. Pro Tip: Try the sauces on the savory pies! Recommend and will be back.“
“Absolute best bun rieu in the city- $13 for a huge bowl and way bigger portions. Super generous with the crab meatballs and their soup has a lot of depth. Banh mi's are amazing too!! Owners are friendly and kind- thank you hello sandwich & noodle, we appreciate you :)“
“super food service and prices are perfect, nothing to compare to other places,i love it.Parking: el sobrante place is allways busybusy cause the super good service there, thank you.Kid-friendliness: kids like those places cause they get what they want.“
“Service is amazing. For some apparent reason the act didn't show my specific instructions. I came back to switch out the food. Let me keep the original fruit that they made, and they made me new food and had me pay for the additions and I recommend this place!!!! Might I add this is the best burger I've had IN THE WHOLE CITY!!!!“
“5-star place. Absolutely amazing food both for vegans, pescatarians, vegetarians and meat eaters as well. As a mostly veg with a vegan SO and a meat eater friend we came back here after our first visit to try more food, it's perfect! The cauliflower-coconutmilk ceviche is a must-try for everyone.“
“Celebrated Black History Month with a Soulful Brunch!! The catfish, fried chicken, shrimp and grits, Mac n cheese, waffles - oh so good!!Live music with a fantastic DJ, a talented Sax player, Black Panther playing on the screen and trivia questions with prizes! Such fun!!“
“The food here is fantastic. Everything is always so fresh, comforting, and I can eat it without regretting eating out. The portion is really generous for the price, which feels very reasonable. I usually get the chicken or pork shoulder mixed bowl because I like the mix of greens and grains in the bowl. Honestly this is my go to place when I'm craving something comforting but healthy (or at least on the healthier side). The green smoothie is also super refreshing!“
“Great place for burgers. Great hot food fresh coming out of the oil. Small to dine in eat on the go in your car or wherever. Don't get scared of the environment. You will be ok if you can stand your ground. Best prices for a good meal for family.“
“Sitting at the park bench at a smog shop on San Pablo, THIS is the gritty, urban, off- Gourmet Gulch affordable and lovingly made $3 taco experience you need to break out of the bubble. Slow simmered marinated chicken with a dollop of grilled onions, cut-up radishes what's not to like? Go there late enough for free side show entertainment! Across the street from this building north of Ashby...“
“The bar downstairs and out on their front patio is always really popular but this review is for their food which you can join in a much quieter and intimate setting upstairs. The menu may sound like pub bar bites but it’s an elevated version for sure. The chicken nuggets were so delicious and the star of the show but you absolutely must order the kale salad too! Even people who are not into kale or salads enjoyed it and it’s HUGE! Such a neighborhood gem!“
“There was a missing item from my delivery (I think it was a delivery driver problem and not the store's fault), and the manager Samantha was AMAZING she went above and beyond to make sure things were fixed. I really appreciate it, she called me multiple times to make sure the situation was “
“A delightful surprise and a fantastic chicken sandwich. Thick, juicy, well seasoned and fried chicken thigh in a great sandwich. The spicy one was a bit strange with so much fresh chilli slices, but overall I loved the sandwich and the seasoned fries were great too!“
“For many years our workplace had a generic food truck onsite that served up traditional tacos, burritos, and the occasional weekly specials like loaded nachos. They had pre-made rice plates too. The quality was decent but after a while its possible to get tired of the same-oh, same-oh.One day I began seeing a red food truck from my office window, as opposed to the plain unmarked white one. It turns out to be Golden Gate Bistro, who specializes in burgers made to order.I tried both the Akaushi Cheeseburger and Grilled Chicken Sandwich and can recommend both. Akaushi is from Japanese Brown cows, and one of several sources of Wagyu. It'll cost more than In and Out or Habit Grill but its justifiable with the juicy burger. I also love their thick-cut, perfectly seasoned fries. If burgers aren't your thing, they also offer up smoked ribs, Impossible burgers, and the usual Mexican favorites like Quesadillas.“
“First time I order from Ben’s fast food and it totally hit the spot.I ordered the chickpea and potato mixed bowl which comes with greens, grains, chickpea, cauliflower, pickled onions and sauce of your choice. It was super tasty and the portion was huge.Best value for money I’ve ever seen, I highly recommend. I would definitely go back and try the chicken bowl.“
“Absolutely incredible customer service, super friendly and accommodating! The server Hannah absolutely made my day with her friendly guidance and introduction. The food was delicious too had so much fun with the spicy Cheeto and fruity pebble dog.“
“Get the semi-sweet cookie if you can! It's almost as good if not better than Crumbles. Perfectly crunch on the outside and chewy and melty on the inside. I devoured the cookie before I even got to the wrap. The owner is super sweet too! Will be coming back to this place!“
“I'll start by saying that I really love NLB and NLC, the food is so dang good. I'm giving four stars because they clucked up one of the things we ordered. The Cali Cluckwich came with no tempeh bacon or avocado added on, and we didn't have time to get it fixed because we were crunched for time on a work lunch break. Without the extra ingredients added, it was a little plain and just a classic cluckwich. We didn't even have time to get a refund or anything.Other than that, taste-wise the food was good. Also, I've always loved the customer service at the San Francisco location, the employees are always so happy and friendly.Hunny Hickory TenderClucks were delicious. I chose all fries, no slaw, and it might have been one of the largest sides of fries I've ever got at a restaurant.Vegetarian options: Fully vegan! Awesome!“
“Yeah probably my most favorite restaurant in the bay. They were closed for a while and I went by a couple times to see if they were open lol. Very much addicted to their food. I've been coming here for over 20 years My coworker is the reason I found out about them. And I still get the same thing that he would ordered. A super chicken burrito, not a happy burrito, with shredded chicken, refried beans, and chips. It's the only place I buy chicken burritos, nowhere else. The season of their chicken goes really well with the cheese, the avocados sauce, the beans and their flour tortillas.“
“Had the grilled pork banh mi:the pork was grilled very well, with a great fat to muscle ratio. The vegetables were crunchy, fresh and had a great quick pickleThe bread had a crispy outer shell and soft inside. You get all the crunch and none of the torn roof-of-mouth actionFor $10, this was a steal. Definitely trying their bun cha next time“
“I was very happy to find this Mediterranean place in Alameda. You order either a pita, wrap, or bowl, and then you customize it however you want. You can choose a protein then add the extras you want. Some of the extras cost extra, but there are also plenty of free extras as well. Some of the free extras (like beets) are pretty skimpy though. One thing I learned is there are different types of couscous. I've always been accustomed to the Israeli couscous, which are tiny pearl-like pastas. But here, they have Moroccan couscous, which is more like a grain. This tasted great in the salad. What we had..+ Chicken shawarma wrap - Very well put together and very tasty. However, it was a bit smaller than wraps from Kebab Shop or Halal Guys.+ Chicken shawarma bowl - I added a lot of extras, and somehow it all tasted great together. The hummus was quite a bit thicker than I'm used to. The texture wasn't conducive to mixing with your salad or for dipping your pita in, but still very tasty.Overall, this was a happy find.“
“This ain't no party, this ain't no disco, 3 on atmosphere because it is a caspers, I should give it a 5 because it is exactly how it is meant to be!I have photos on my phone not this tablet, I even posted pics on my FB page when I was at the Caspers on Telegraph next to the 24 east bound on-ramp.. Love me some Casper's Dogs!“
“I got a cheeseburger with grilled onions (please enunciate your free add-ons especially on a busy weekend afternoon/evening because they thought i said extra lettuce somehow?!? like what? who would ever want extra lettuce…) but anyway pretty solid burger. Also got onion rings which were sadly not as good. The onions so very easily separated from the batter. I love the diner itself, immaculate vibes. Would definitely come again to try one of the shakes (sooo many options!!)“
“Love the smashed burger patties. A double cheeseburger for me and single for my lady. Has the best crunch of a burger in the city Wish the pepper jack came through a bit more so that'd be the only ding Rings were golden and crispy even after doordash delivery. They have great deals if you order through there too ;)“
“This is one of the few remaining places where you can get some good affordable food in uptown Oakland! The food is made fresh so there is a brief 10 minute wait, but that’s nothing when you get assurance that your food is fresh!! The chicken is seasoned good and the catfish was seasoned good too and fresh. All the sides were good too - this place isn’t talked about enough! If you’re looking for a quick, affordable, yet tasty meal, do not hesitate to buy from here!“
“Checked out this local burger place in Berkeley after checking Yelp for burgers near Telegraph Ave and Cal. I had their turkey burger which I have to say was the best spiced turkey burger I have had anywhere. A good sized, thin patty came on a sesame see led bun with their standard toppings. Was one of the few times I had to be carful eating it as it was juicy and messy, which is not the usual case for a Turkey burger. Their fries were OK and the sesame seed bun was good but maybe not as soft as some would like, but overall a really great little burger joint. Has some interesting choices I will have to try next time, line the lamb Persian burger and Black Bean burger. Check it out“
“When I tell you I've been DREAMING about these onigiri ever since I got to try them on an SF visit 5 ish years ago, I'm not even kidding. And they still lived up to my expectations! Such a unique fun spot, terrific for folks who are gluten free, vegan, sesame free, or all of the above like me. I just hope you bring back the spicy wasabi as a side for takeout orders...from memory, it was incredible!“
“This has to be one of those hole in the wall Chinese spots that if you quickly drove by, you wouldn't have realized it was a gold mine! First off, quality of their food was amazing! After getting back home with our to go box, the fried food was still CRISPY. It was the crispy fish filet that sold us! Wow, batter was amazing, fluffy and did I say... crispy? Let's talk about the service, upon walking in I was immediately greeted with a friendly hello and smile by a younger girl who looked like she was probably helping her family's business, scooping away filing orders and still able to friendly greet me. Ambience was more to go style but they did have some tables and benches you'd be able to enjoy your food at. Parking might also be hard to come by since it's on a main busy street as well. We will be back to support!!“
“I got a salami sandwich & the sandwich maker had no mayo in her container so she just squeezed mayo on my bread & continued making my sandwich I said can you spread my mayo like it's suppose to be done. Not sure if she was trained correctly but she needs to brush up on her skills. The sandwich delicious..“
“A very tasty and delicious authentic Mexican spot to grab some grub. They have some healthier options on the menu for those that are trying to keep health conscious while eating outside. Definitely try the pork burrito and ask them to make it spicy! It was super tasty. The portion size is also quite large. The staff was super friendly and willing to accommodate our requests. Will be back again!!“
“I grew up eating Patak's Mango Relish, papadum, rice, and dad's chicken curry. As a kid ,I could really just eat mango relish and rice all day long... the more spice and hot the better! Also, I'm half Sri-Lankan, which means my spicy tolerance is pretty high! The Tikka Masala burrito is delicious, and you can ask for mild or spicy; choose your adventure! Would I just have loved to throw a half bottle of mango relish on top of it and inhale it at home? I sure would! Why didn't it I? Because the the burrito couldn't make it but 3 minutes in my hand before I started going at it. The curry smelled so good, even though it was tightly sealed in foil, then put in a brown paper bag. Most importantly, tightly sealed meant no curry spills! The burrito is a good size, but what really makes you full is that it's packed with rice and chicken and of course that saaaauce! That sauce is so flavorful! I'll admit I didn't finish it, and I heated up half of the burrito when I got home. I seared it in a pan, and tried to be all fancy, but it would've been fine in a microwave, I'm sure of it. I was so close to getting a mango lassi drink, but I'm controlling my sugar the the moment. The mango lassi is normally a usual item for me: not to sweet, thick, smoothie-like consistency, and super creamy-perfect drink to go with any of the options at this food truck. Sexy fries are also good here, but the burritos are my favorite so far. The deconstructed samosa is next up on the list!“
“Really delicious! My hotel was nearby and I needed food badly; I had just checked in after a long flight and I hadn't eaten real food all day. I noticed this place across the street and figured I'd call in an order for pickup. I decided on the chicken burger; added cheese and bacon and got garlic fries as my side. This is probably the best chicken sandwich I've eaten. The sandwich was huge! The actual piece of chicken they give you is big, and very juicy. The fries are crispy and I liked that the garlic fries actually had minced garlic on them and not just a garlic powder seasoning. I think for the price and how big the sandwich is, it's a good deal. I absolutely devoured this thing.“
“Hi-Way is a pretty good burger joint in the evenings (awesome milkshakes), though it's not as good as it was when the place opened a few years ago. But during the lunch shift (i. e., during the daytime), the staff doesn't listen well to your order and the cooks apparently aren't as skilled because the food doesn't taste as good and the orders get screwed up. Also, no matter what time of day, the fried chicken sandwich is bad.“
“Came here for lunch on a Thursday around noon and it wasn't too busy. There are a couple tables inside and outside to sit at. The service is pretty quick and friendly. I ordered the Vietnamese coffee, pork buns, and the Korea wrap to go. The coffee was pretty average but I wouldn't get it again. The pork buns were a bit soggy but I'm sure if I didn't get it to go they would've been better. The Korean spring roll wrap had super fresh ingredients and the meat in it was well flavored. As an overall meal I just didn't love the "spring roll" burrito because rice paper doesn't hold a lot of ingredients making this pretty messy to eat. The bowls and Banh Mi's look a lot better so I would recommend those over the wrap if you end up coming here!“
“Always great service from staff. Food is consistently delicious and filling. Because the meals are cooked fresh, it's a slight wait of about 10-12 minutes but always worth it.Vegetarian options: Make sure you ask for onions to be well done“
“My personal opinion, these are the best franchise burgers, period!Everything you can expect from this famous/known franchise. Fast service from good people. Not so crowded and there's enough seating space.Kid-friendliness: You design your burger, so...“
“My dearest companions of refined palates and exquisite tastes,I must regale you with a most peculiar dining experience I recently encountered. Imagine, if you will, my esteemed self, accustomed to the luxurious surroundings of Michelin-starred establishments, inadvertently stumbling upon a culinary gem concealed beneath the guise of a modest Taco Bell. Yes, you read that correctly – Taco Bell, a name more commonly associated with fast food than haute cuisine. It was a chilly evening, and the glistening city lights beckoned me toward a culinary adventure I had yet to embark upon. In my eagerness, I mistook the humble facade of Taco Bell for a secluded Michelin-starred restaurant, and my expectations soared to the highest of heights. Alighting from my chauffeur-driven carriage, I was momentarily perturbed by the compactness of the parking area, but such trifles mattered not to me. My trusty driver, ever resourceful, steered us through the enigmatic maze of the drive-thru, where I discerned a curious interplay of savory aromas and an eclectic symphony of voices ordering a vast array of dishes.Upon entering the establishment, I was greeted by a cheerful attendant who presented me with a menu of staggering proportions. It was a paradoxical marvel; for in this unassuming Taco Bell, they had somehow managed to take mere meat, cheese, and a humble tortilla, and through their ingenious alchemy, fashioned a kaleidoscope of culinary delights. The menu sprawled before me like an epic novel, promising a gastronomic journey beyond my wildest dreams. I was at once perplexed and intrigued by the plethora of choices that lay before me, from the classic Crunchwrap Supreme to the audacious Doritos Locos Tacos. My refined sensibilities were put to the test as I pondered this symphony of ingredients, each more daring and indulgent than the last.To the uninitiated, the Taco Bell drive-thru may seem pedestrian, but for those in the know, it is a portal to fast-food luxury. The convenience of ordering from the comfort of one's carriage, surrounded by the tantalizing aroma of Mexican-inspired creations, is an experience to be savored. My order, meticulously customized to suit my discerning palate, was soon delivered to me with the utmost care, a testament to the dedication of the Taco Bell staff. As I partook in this unexpected culinary escapade, I was pleasantly surprised by the depth of flavor and the artful presentation of each dish. The marriage of textures and tastes was, dare I say, sublime. The quesadillas, with their tender grilled chicken and melted cheese, were a harmonious ballet of ingredients, while the Beefy 5-Layer Burrito proved a testament to the grandeur that can be achieved with the simplest of elements. In conclusion, my dear connoisseurs of the epicurean arts, I must admit that my inadvertent foray into Taco Bell was a revelation. The ability to elevate the humble tortilla, meat, and cheese to such elevated heights is a feat deserving of recognition. While the parking may be tight and the setting far from opulent, the taste sensations crafted within those unassuming walls are nothing short of a gastronomic masterpiece. It is with the utmost sincerity that I recommend a visit to this unsuspecting haven of culinary innovation, for it is a journey that shall forever be etched in my memory.Yours in epicurean discovery,“
