“Disappointed to say the least the ice cream wasn’t made properly, the employee was least bothered to even ask what I wanted. It felt like so much pressure to just ask for a sample and decide if I wanted that, the loud music made it so hard to hear the person and for the person to actually even listen. Wanted to take it to go but wasn’t even asked if I wanted that and felt forever to ask for a lid. Not to mention the ice cream literally has no toppings except the m&ms paid more than $10 to get nothing but a bad tasting ice cream.
Edit: The manager followed up and was kind enough understanding the situation and offered to make the ice cream and make it right. That was really sweet and I appreciate that since I got the ice cream after a few days from my initial visit and she remembered me, also gave me the sample for churro ice cream!! Made my experience better“

“The owners were the sweetest and answered questions quickly. I loved the space so much I ended up talking to Amber since the place is so obviously carefully curated. If you have the time I would definitely recommend stopping by! I chose the ruby apple and chamoy gummy bears and it was perfectly sour for me!! They do everything they can in house including creating their own chamoy recipe and it is absolutely delicious!! The ruby apple is the only dairy free option for now but with continued support from the community I can see them expanding as much as they aspire to:)“

“Do you run in the non-dairy lane and are tired of the same old-same old flavors? Of being looked down on as a tiresome afterthought at most ice cream shops? Then Scoops is your Valhalla, a veritable Mt Olympus of flavor combinations. At least 2 non-dairy choices + a sorbet and it won’t be the same as you bought last week or the week before that. Also, it’s the least snobby creamery in LA.“

“If you're walking on the sidewalk in Echo Park, and see a Hopscotch court on the ground, you might have stumbled upon one of the best ice cream shops in the area. That's exactly what happened to a couple of friends and I as we were venturing out into the wilderness on a Saturday evening. Fluffy McCloud not only has atmosphere and pizzazz, but they also pride themselves in using only whole, organic ingredients. Inside this fine establishment, you'll find a working jukebox, a coin-operated gumball machine filled with Lactaid pills (yes, they thought of EVERYTHING), a perpetual motion machine (like a Space Rail), and awesome and friendly staff that dispatch everyone quickly, yet in a professional and friendly manner. My favorite flavor was Thelma Vanilla (yes, I'm very basiq, I know lol), and I had it in a sugar wafer ice cream cone (highly recommend it over having it in a cup). Definitely a 10/10 ice cream shop in one of the most fun and interesting neighborhoods of Los Angeles.“
“We had an amazing experience with Swrlies owner, Yardley, and his team when they came out to Eliot Arts Magnet to do a fundraiser event for us! After the Eaton fire and being displaced, Eliot Arts Drama and Dance students lost their homes and their creative spaces. Now they are dreaming big for the year ahead, and our event with Swrlies Ice Cream gave them a fun way to do just that! Thank you Swrlies!! @EliotArts“

“This is THE best frozen treat place in Montrose! They have an incredible variety of flavors and one is better than the next! Today I got the Blue Honolulu and it was so refreshing and not too sweet. Of course the freshly made waffle cone was a must and it did not disappoint. I cannot believe it took us this long to try this place just because it’s in the beginning of the street, but now that we have tried it, we are never going anywhere else again!“

“the most dense, full-contact peanut butter experience i've ever had in treat form; the peanut butter shake is sweet yes, but also absurdly rich, like someone concentrated a whole jar of peanut butter into it, just wish there were more brownie pieces for that price.. i also sampled the lavender froyo and was surprised that it held the same richness without falling into soap territory: sweet-floral, clean, and refreshing. honestly would've gone for a full scoop of that if i wasn't commuting right after; such lovely-attentive staff, this frozen treat spot is a gem, especially after some silverlake flea browsing 🍦“

“I don't crave ice cream often but when I do, I expect nothing but the best. My girlfriend recommended we go to this spot because it's been a staple in the area over the years.
I ordered their banana split and it was THEBOMB.COM. I 100% recommend this spot but keep in mind that this place is CASH ONLY.“

“This Taiyaki + Ice Cream place is at the level of other giants such as SomiSomi. The soft serve has a perfect texture (I tried the Pure Milk flavor with a Taiyaki on top, the Taiyaki being filled with Nutella), the service is quick and efficient, and the store was crowded when my two friends and I went on a Saturday evening. The ambiance is great too, there are so many pictures showing what the options are like, and there are clearly-illustrated menus spread throughout the restaurant. The toppings are available for the customers to grab and add to their ice cream as they wish, and everything, from the Oreo crumbs to the Banana chips are great. You can truly feel that every single item in this store is, indeed, made With Love.“

“Fosters Freeze’s, Large soft serve,Vanilla ice cream cones, dipped in chocolate syrup, are good and messy. They made me a triple cheeseburger back in the early 70’s way before Burger King or In-n- out ever had them.“

“Old-school fast-food chain famous for soft serve. Their “chocolate dipped” cone still tastes nostalgic. I got the cheeseburger and fries; patties were thin but seasoned, fries crispy. Classic shake is thick and rich. Place felt like stepping back to the ‘60s—a simple joy.“

“The bolo bao ice cream sandwich was the bomb! I had it with ube ice cream. The garlic fries - lots of fresh garlic with a side of bomb lemon aoili and house sauce! The best! Passionfruit green tea was perfect for the hot weather! So cute inside too! It's a smaller space and a one man show. Everything is made fresh so please be patient - it's worth the wait! Great service! It's a hidden gem to the right of BofA in the plaza. — at CrispyandFluffed.“
“Ice Cream Occasions was such a fun and unique addition to our event! The ice cream cart looked great and added a nostalgic touch, and the selection of treats was perfect. They have so many choices to choose from that everyone in the family are always happy. It can get pricey but the quality has not been compromised, so we don't mind. The customer service is great, they're always friendly and helpful. We love Foster's Freeze!!!!!“

“Major props to Los Alpes Ice Cream. I get nostalgic every time I come here. I have been visiting since I was a kid and the memories I have from this place are all great. The quality is just as good today as it was back then. I literally met my best friend here over 30 years ago and the interior still looks exactly the same.
I love coming here every chance time permits when I am visiting Los Angeles. It is one of those places that brings me right back and it never disappoints.
The flavor selection is amazing. Even though I usually keep it simple with cookies and cream, I have a hard time resisting the mamey and nuez every single time. Their ice creams are packed with ingredients. Cookies and cream is loaded with actual cookies and the nuez has that perfect nutty richness in every bite.
The staff and owner are always attentive, friendly, and genuinely pleasant. This place is a true Los Angeles institution. It still surprises me how many people do not know about this gem. If you have never been, do yourself a favor and check it out. You will see why it has been around for decades.“

“This was literally my first time trying matcha, and I actually really liked it. I was told it’s usually not sweet, so I asked for extra sweetener on top of the sweet version. The flavor was a bit strong, but the added sweetness made it much more enjoyable. Would def try it again!
We went around noon on a weekday and it was packed. Parking is definitely a hassle here.“

“A continued favorite to have in Chinatown. For so many years, and such a variety of rotating flavors keep it fresh. The creativity is subtle, and some of the favorites do support local flavors.
There are also some vegan options to choose from. Busy weekends can also clean them out of inventory, thus visit often. Hand-packed pints are also an option.
Parking can be found under the shopping plaza, or it will have to be street parking.“
“Went here on a whim on a Saturday evening after going to Gold Line. There was a line but it moved pretty quick. Enough time to look at the vast ice cream menu.
I sampled a Texas Sheet Cake and got a Miso Butterscotch Brownie. Both were delicious!
Overall, highly recommend coming here. Delicious ice cream set in a historical building. Service was nice too.“

“Decided to come here after dinner because our son had been telling us we needed to try it out. Even though there was a long line out the door, it actually moved pretty fast! There was only one person working the counter and serving the whole crowd, but they were definitely hustling.
They have a lot of really funky and unique flavors to choose from. We ended up trying the Cookie Monster (served in a donut!) and the Ube. Both were really solid—the ice cream is high quality and definitely explains why this place is so popular.
The process is simple: you just pay on the iPad and then grab your ice cream. Definitely a cool spot to check out if you're in Pasadena and looking for a sweet treat!“
“This is the BEST ice cream in the neighborhood. Very balanced and unique Asian inspired flavors, not too sugar-y, natural and delicately delicious 🤤 they are a nice family-owned ice cream shop, with a place indoors and outdoors to sit. Highly recommended. No other ice cream in Montrose Honolulu compares to this! Black sesame is my personal favorite, but all great flavors.“

“Best service One of the best raspados. I have been there since a little kid me and my dad always been there. The best store in Lincoln Heights. I will always get a toy chicken from there that store was my childhood. When I was little like 5 I will always sit in the corner of that store every day I always sit there it the same spot it was like my favorite spot to sit in and eat my rasados and ice cream with my dad and mom.“
“I recently came into the shop and was surprised by how fast they attended me! I would assume cutting fruit to the order would take longer, but they made it look easy. The crepes were delicious! Forsures will be having them when I go back to El Monte! 8.1.23“
