“Incredible quality and love the fact that it’s open later than a lot of spots in the area! Definitely among the best burritos in Pasadena/Altadena- if you’re looking for a good spot this is it! Also very generous and innovative vegetarian options amidst more classic, authentic choices as well!“

“This is as local and authentic as you can get for Mexican food! It's a cute little shop that makes fantastic tasting dishes, better than many fancy restaurants I've visited. Their Carne Asada nachos is bursting with flavor and reasonably priced, consider me a regular, cheers!“

“I got two burritos and a veggie taco for $30 but it was so worth it. Very yummy ? and clean. I don’t eat out at all usually because of covid but we were in between hikes and got hungry. There was one cook and one cashier and both were wearing masks. Thanks guys!“

“This is a great spot for a seafood forward Mexican meal with an absolutely stunning patio. We got a few dishes but the standouts are the scallop tostada (culichi tostada) and the branzino zarandeados. The branzino comes with beans, rice, avocado, tortillas, quesadillas, onions and salsas. We loved making our own tortilla with the quesadillas that it came with. Make sure you leave room for the iconic LA churros!!“

“Simply phenomenal. It takes incredible food, made by kind folks, who love what they do, to lift a stranger's spirit like my own. I had ordered four tacos: Masala Birria, Tinga Masala Chicken (by recommendation), Pibil Chicken, and the potato (Mexican potato substitution), along with a side of Mom's Beans and seasoned Cauliflower. I was nodding my head blissfully as I ate everything. The smell of spices and fresh cilantro, the taste of meaty beans and succulent poultry, and pickled onions were wildly satisfying. I was blown away and can't wait to return. You're missing out if you haven't eaten here, yet. Until next time, peace.“

“This Guisados on Sunset is the perfect spot to hit a hungry stomach! Free parking. EZ to find. Safe neighborhood. Now for the food… AMAZING! All tacos are delicious. Try the sampler. Gives you 6 mini tacos with home made tortillas. For about $11. ? even my kids who are picky loved this place! Service was awesome. We were still craving another sampler (we all shared some) and the server who brought our food said that there was no need to wait in line again… she took our additional order from our table, and brought the credit card reader out to us!!! Thank you! Mil Gracias !!! We will be back.
Kid-friendliness: Kids loved the food. And when they knew it was for the kids, they held off on some of the spicy salsas (on te side)“

“Great comida casera! Customer service is good!
The only thing I didn’t like was that the meat in my chilaquiles was more pellejo (skin) que carne itself. The meat was difficult to chew. Other than that, the chips and salsa were good (the salsa was super tasty), chilaquiles were good in flavor and the aguas frescas estaban buenas.“

“Had breakfast at Tenampal and loved it! The Anthony Special is a must-try — half chilaquiles in mole and half in green sauce with eggs on top. So good! The café de olla was delicious too. The staff here are super friendly and make you feel really welcome. Definitely coming back!“

“The tacos are delicious. I didn’t prefer the chicharron taco; my assumption was the pork fat would be crispy, but it was blubbery. I didn’t eat it. This was probably a mistake on my end.
The pork tamale was delicious as was the steak taco. The tamale wasn’t dry at all (I’ve seen other reviews saying it was dry). The service was so friendly and kind. I loved the artwork, but I did want a salsa bar. I’ll be back absolutely, and recommend the cantaloupe agua fresca.“

“Ok so this place is amazing. They do an incredible job with the food and both the Mediterranean and Latino foods are great. Juan was our server and was the nicest guy ever. He was so on top of everything and probably one of the kindest people I’ve met during a meal. He was great. There were so many options for foods. We all got tacos and middle eastern food. Large portion sizes for sure!! Highly recommend. The chips and salsa were also really good! Will definitely be back!!“

“My go to pre-Dodger game hangout. The Dodger vibe is electric. Best flaming margs! The chili rellenos are seriously amazing. Crispy tacos are delicious. Portions are generous. Don’t fill up on the chips and salsa! If you sit near the bar, it’s loud. They always beat their wait time estimate so stay close after adding your name to the waitlist.“

“BEST Mexican food EVER!!☆☆☆☆☆ It's Always great seeing Roy every time I walk in that door! I reminisce the mid 80's when I was first introduced to his establishment by a mutual friend. The atmosphere is great, the staff is awesome, the food is simple, consistent, and always tastes great! Honestly, I was Very upset when Roy said he was going to close after so many years... but I'm glad he changed his mind! :) L'Abeja truly is a gem to the community! Not only does your great food warm our bellies, but also our hearts!♡♡♡ Btw, I recommend everything on the menu!“

“Finally made it to Taco/Social with some friends for HH, drinks are fairly priced, with some on tap and others not; like the old fashioned, but all solid choices. The place feels super family-friendly, which was nice to see. The vibe is open and welcoming, with a cool, relaxed setting. The tacos? Not what you expect when next to some of LA's best taco spots, these were more fusion, but they were seriously tasty. The Nashville hot cod is a must try. definitely would come back“

“Was walking from work on my way to chipotle for lunch. Passed by this place on the way and saw they serve breakfast. I called and asked what the options were. I heard breakfast tacos and backtracked to Madre Maiz. Breakfast taco comes with cheese and potato cooked right onto the tortilla, choice of ham or bacon, I chose bacon. Egg scrambled or over easy, I chose over easy per the recommendation of the owner(?) Also comes with beans but opted out because I’m allergic. They also have a special breakfast salsa which was amazing. I accidentally poured the entire container on my taco definitively an accident I’ll repeat in the future. Oh and try it on the blue corn tortilla.“

“If you have not had the chance to dine in at Girasol, I highly recommend it. The chicharon with guac is a must as a starter, make sure you get some of the spicy sauce. As for a recommendation for a meal, well you have to come in and try. We loved the chilaquiles, the carne en su juego, the menudo, and the breakfast burrito. If you have a sweeter taste, the French toast, the pancakes and the crepe are awesome. But as mentioned before, you just have to come in and try everything.“

“THE best birria in town! been coming to Alvaro and his team since the very beginning nearly 3 years ago, and the food has only gotten better. the queso tacos with connsomé are legendary and we love impressing out of town friends with them. there’s always a spread of fresh salsas and accouterments. check Birria Master’s IG @BirriaMaster for hours and specials (they’ll occasionally experiment with different meats and offerings such as lingua, seafood tostadas). plenty of family style seating as well as parking in the lot and street parking.“

“This place has been around since the stone age and still just as good. The Menudo and the Hollenbeck Burrito are my favorites! The picture of the burrito is called the Manuel Special. If you can finish it by yourself it's free. Make sure you ask for the ingredients on this monster, it's not your typical burrito.“

“The cutest Mexican diner. My friend and I stumbled upon it while looking for a place to eat before the Magic Market at Heritage Square. Get the wine!! It’s a giant pour for 5.50! The tostada was pretty good and the queso fundido, too. Not enough tortillas to match the toppings, but that’s probably better for my belly anyway ?. Lovely atmosphere and staff. May these sorts of places live forever. Happy birthday to me!“

“I have tried tamales from different places and I always go back to this place that's about 15 miles from where I live (but it's worth the drive). I took one star off only because sometimes it has a bit too much dough, but other than that, the tamales are amazing.

“The food is definitely tasty and fresh. Gets pretty busy during lunchtime, but it's definitely worth the wait in line. The prices are reasonable and you get your money's worth in terms of servings. The atmosphere is simply ok. Can sometimes get loud with all the individuals that come to dine-in, otherwise it's definitely a must try if you're in the area/neighborhood.
Parking: There is a small parking lot next to the establishment. Despite its size, it definitely packs in plenty of vehicles. There is also decent street parking.“
