“WOW, this place had some folks there when I arrived around noon, but it was almost full by the time I left about 15 or so minutes later. And after taking my to-go order home for lunch, I now know why. My wet chicken burrito was absolutely delicious...made exactly as I ordered. The servers were nice and friendly. And the place was clean and had nice tables and seats. I live nearby in Santa Clara and used to occasionally come out to the Alviso area. I will be sure to return to El Taco de Oro very soon and often - very good grub!“

“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! My rating: 10++++“

However, when the waitress brought the house red and green sauce for the tacos that's when the tacos went from good to fantastic. I also ordered a side of beans and rice which I enjoyed. “My wife and I have been passing by this place for almost 3 years after our daughters swim lessons and have always wanted to stop by and grab some food here but never come around to it. We finally decided to drop by and grab something to eat here. And we have been missing out for so long. The service is quick and people very nice and the food is amazing. Carne asada burrito with red and green salsas on the side was my pick. The Sonora hot dog is also amazing! We are definitely coming back here!“

I recently discovered El Camarón de Sinaloa, and it’s an absolute gem. The chips are made fresh and served with a delicious homemade salsa that sets the tone for an incredible meal. I ordered the shrimp ceviche, which was fresh and bursting with flavor, served with a generous stack of tostadas.

While I didn’t try the sushi, it looked amazing and is definitely on my list for next time. The garlic shrimp plate was another standout, especially with the homemade corn tortillas that added a special touch.

If you’re looking for authentic, flavorful Mexican seafood, this place is a must-visit. Highly recommend!

“Very authentic Mexican food. The tortillas, sopes, and huaraches are hand made and make everything that much more delicious. We tried 1 sope de chorizo, 1 huarache de carne asada, 1 taco de asada, and 1 taco de pollo and all of the food was soooo satisfying. We also got an agua de piña con mango and saying that it was refreshing is an understatement. All the people working were attentive and they also do catering FYI! Can’t wait to be back to try their tamales oaxaqueños and their tlayudas.“

“I just had the best nachos I've ever had in my life! All the ingredients were so fresh and flavorful--chopped tomatoes, guac, sour cream, cheese, pickled jalapeños, etc. with a good balance of ingredients. For protein I chose the fish and they were perfectly fried. The only tip I'd offer to anyone ordering the nachos is to eat them as soon as you get them. I got to the restaurant late and picked up my order but by the time I drove home half of the nachos were soggy. The green and red salsas were excellent if you love heat (like me). Looking forward to trying the tacos and aguas frescas!“

“Amazing food best tacos my wife and I have had I sj beats Tacos Tres Reyes for us not greasy, fatty, nor burnt meat. Highly reccomend the only down side is the compact size of the restaurant and the difficulty parking but I don't want reduce stars because the food is amazing and the owners can only do so much.
