“MONDAY FOOD REVIEW...PUESTO...6/17/24! After leaving California's Great America, we stopped for lunch at Puesto, a Mexican/American restaurant, located at 2752 Augustine Dr., in Santa Clara. This restaurant features Mexican dishes with an American flare infusion! I had their their Shrimp a la Plancha, which is Mexican shrimp, garlic butter, red onions, jalapeños, guajillo chile, avocado, and Tamarindo-chile sauce, and it comes with herb lime rice, black beans, and blue corn tortillas. This was absolutely fabulous!!! It wasn't your typical Mexican dish...the different ingredients they used to create this dish all blended together VERY well!!! If you are looking for a little something different to satisfy your Mexican food craving, and want some added flair, then this is THE restaurant to go to!!! I HIGHLY recommend it!!!! My rating: 10++++“

“Good and friendly staff. Food is very good fresh and delicious. It would be nice to provide some condiments like hot sauce and other. One of the item was not correct and when mentioned they immediately served the right order. It would be good if they refill the chips and salsa 🙂 I would definitely go again and highly recommend.“

“I ordered $300 of tacos from them in their typical location in Mountain View, and their tacos were delicious. Later, saw the same truck providing food for a Sunnyvale EV test drive event; food was just as good. Very nice consistency and happy to see them around.“

“Over the years. I've had breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Mar y Sol. I usually just get a single taco with carnitas which is really a bargain. I splurged this week and had a full dinner, enchiladas verde, rice, beans, and small salad ($20-ish), took 2 entire enchiladas home for lunch the next day :-). The food is excellent, the staff is lovely, and the atmosphere is delightful. Pay cash to get a discount (3%, IIRC).“

“We enjoyed a nice dinner in this family owned comfy place. The food was very good although the chicken didn’t seem like it was grilled (asada) just plain chicken. The portions were good but everything needed salsa on it to have enough flavor. Steak was also just a little flavorless. The margarita was delicious. The service was excellent. We definitely enjoyed Casa Lupe!“

“I ordered a seafood molcajete, it had shrimp, octopus, nopal, cheese, crab and class. And on the side rice and beans.
My wife had 3 tacos, 2 of shrimp and one of fish.
And as appetizer we had fried calamari and fish chicharrones.“

“A neighborhood jewel. This restaurant has very satisfying food and Boba drinks. I got two meals out of the burrito bowl. The portions were generous and the sauces flavorful. Picnic table seating, plus patio dining under an awning. We visited after 1:30pm, so the crowd was nonexistent.“

“Great customer service. Fresh Salsas, every day they told me. The place is great for lunch or dinner. I had a chicken burrito. It has sour cream and guacamole rice and beens. It was good! They tell me that the wet burrito is good. After they Wrap the burrito they add cheese on top after it's been wrapped and then they add a special sauce the one they use on enchiladas and then they put it to bake so the outside cheese melts. Sure sounds tasty I would say!“

“No lie, out of everywhere in union city including los gallos, tacos Palo, and Carmelita's, this spot is 🔥🔥🔥🔥. The campechanos is the best thing to order besides the lengua tacos. Hard to find 🔥 Mexican food. But this taco truck right off the freeway is bomb AF!!!!!!!!!!!“

“This place is so delicious! 🤤 We were staying in the area and wanted some Mexican food for dinner. We took a chance on this place and we're not disappointed. The Google rating is 4.4, so we knew going in it was well rated and for good reason. The service is great. The prices are great. The food is so tasty. It was so good I forgot to even take pictures lol. I got the Chile rellenos plate and was delighted with just the amount of food first of all, and second...that rice! Loved the red rice🤤 My fiance got the carne asada super burrito and the chicken quesadilla. The burrito was HUGE and the quesadilla was super juicy (thanks to the chicken). Even with all of that food the bill only came out to $33! Will definitely be going back again.“

“Very authentic Mexican food. The tortillas, sopes, and huaraches are hand made and make everything that much more delicious. We tried 1 sope de chorizo, 1 huarache de carne asada, 1 taco de asada, and 1 taco de pollo and all of the food was soooo satisfying. We also got an agua de piña con mango and saying that it was refreshing is an understatement. All the people working were attentive and they also do catering FYI! Can’t wait to be back to try their tamales oaxaqueños and their tlayudas.“

“Flavor resembles any great taco place you can be at, anywhere in Mexico.
Caldo de Pollo (Chicken soup) is huge and flavour-rich. Hand-made tortillas. Wow! Taco flavor took me back to Mexico for a couple of seconds. Friendly staff. Fantastic!“

“I eat here several times a month and often more than once a week! I love the street tacos. The shrimp taco is delicious and in my opinion, the carnitas are among the best I’ve ever tasted. Michelada is generous and well seasoned (I prefer Negra Modelo, and they offer many other beers as well). Chips and salsa are fresh made and a great starter while you look over the menu.
My family also loves super chicken burrito (shredded) and the rice and beans.
Kid-friendliness: They can accommodate large groups by consolidating tables. Kids seem to love looking around at decorations and listening to the background music. Food is served quickly, and there are options for kids. Fresh horchata, and agua fresca (piña, jamaica) is available.“

“My fiancé and I stopped by randomly and were so glad we did. The service was great, place super clean and calm. But what topped it off was the flavor in the food. I’m Mexican and this food reminded me of my grandmother’s cooking!! I definitely recommend this place!“
