“I've lived near Mr. Taco for about 10 years and didn't try until recently. I have noticed their amazing support and kindness to our local community through the years and honestly had been meaning to stop by, but just never have. So, fast forward to this week-- my hubby was going to grab dinner on the way home and I asked him to stop by and grab me something. I pulled up their Facebook and saw a pic of their San Diego fries. They looked good and so I gave them a try. Well....they were goddam addictive. I had him stop by 2 days in a row. I will be definitely be returning because not only are they a great member of our community, their food is fire. Great prices, too! Now, I have one suggestion and a huge part of the reason that I hadn't stopped before is that they don't have an online ordering option. I have weird dietary restrictions and allergies and like to take my time looking through a menu and get anxious if someone has to wait for me, so I prefer to order online and go and pick up instead of ordering in person. Ordering by looking at a picture was highly unusual for me on that first day but since the ingredients were relatively basic I decided to take a risk. I am SO glad that I did. If you haven't tried them, please do. They are well worth the stop.“

“I'm not sure why, but for some reason the flavor seemed to be missing something compared to my usual hartnell location. Might just be different cooks and different amounts of seasoning, or something. Otherwise still good, just didn't meet my expectation. I'll update if I go back.“

“It was a great treat to find this place . The owner was friendly and very nice the tacos we ordered were OUT OF THIS WORLD! I found out there was a "TACO LOCO". food truck. That will be at the mosquito saranade on wensdays such a great lil place to enjoy some tacos and chips with salsa. I will be a life long patron . Mario and jeanette.“

“Man on man what a wonderful place. Tired of paying $20 at Taco Bell for food, try this place if you are in the area. AC was good and cold on a hot day, staff were wonderful and cheerful. Food was amazing. Had the 3 taco special and for the price and quality I felt as if they just gave it away.

“It was good ..after going to Pop eyes Chicken prior to coming to taco Bell.i qanted chicken.but 3 times before the chicken was over cook.an .me likeing chicken i alway gave Pop Eyes another chance.but today sealed their doom with me .i came in the door made a loud noise.so they heard me.i stood their for a good 10 mins.noboudy would wait on me .the girl with the headset on seen me.an was talking to another worker in the back.so they new i was their.after 10 mins. I WALKED OUT AN THE DOOR MADE A BIG SOUND AGAIN.

“Best Mexican food in Redding. The staff are always kind. Sometimes, depending on what you get, it feels a little pricey, but for authentic food, it's worthwhile. It might be cheaper elsewhere but then the food elsewhere will taste cheaper too. Overall, this place goes out of their way to make you want to come back again and again.“

“I love myself a good taco and a good torta, unfortunately Redding /Anderson falls way short of good tortas, but this place kills it. My bread is never soggy the right crisp on my carnitas, fresh ingredients and a good selection of beers to have with dinner (not like 30 it's a restaurant not a brewery the 5 or 6 bottles too choose from of will get you there) it's become my favorite stop for in house Mexican food. I recommend it for anyone out for a bite.“

“Ortega's is bomb dot com! Holy smokes, I can't believe I never knew about it until today. The salsa (all spice levels) is absolutely delicious. The shredded chicken is by far the best I have ever had, in a Mexican restaurant. The service was great, too. The gentleman was very kind to myself and 4 of my kids who were with me. We will be repeat customers!! I don't have a photo becasue the food was so good I ate it all first.“

“The food at Elenis’s food truck is delicious, fresh and served with warmth and friendliness. A family run business that make you feel like family. Their food is authentic and tasty and the price is right. Easy to find with lots of parking.

Vegetarian options: They can make just about any dish vegetarian. Replace the meat for beans.

“DUDE! If you are in the area and enjoy latin and asian cuisine you MUST STOP HERE! The food? AMAZINGLY DELICIOUS! The drinks? OUT OF THIS WORLD!!! The service? IMPECCABLE!! Biggest issue I had was deciding what to eat and drink it all looked and sound interesting and scrumptious. For drinks we decided on Chai Tai mai tai?? Can't remember name, was blown away by how good it was though, and a lychee martini also not sure on the name but also just as blown away! Appetizer was the sampler fantastic all around (especially the birria rangoons) for dinner I had the birria ramen, was kind of exactly what I expected at that point when ordering, just... just FANTASTIC! “"Atmosphere?" In a place that shares the room with a gas station/convenience store? No. It's exactly what you'd expect. But I don't eat 'atmosphere,' do you? Ask about their menu (surprisingly varied, including deserts) or especially their chow, which is first rate. There is a 'specials' menu, many items combined with the Coke brand drink of your choice (not Pepsi). Is it authentic? They have lingua, okay? It's counter service. Eat here (or take out) seven days a week and never repeat your menu (unless you fall in love with the crispy taco plate).

“So glad we found this spot! We tried to google and yelp a fruit spot couldn't find one in Redding. As we dined at a Mexican restaurant we were referred to this Mexican market! Wow such great service, a small family owned market with a variety of Mexican goodies. We had a fruit cup and a Piña Loca. The Piña loca was load with a variety of fruits and Mexican candy. It was so so good. We highly recommend this spot!“
