“Companion bakeshop is the best bakery!! I’ve been to bakeries around the country as well as here in Santa cruz. As a baker myself who’s tried about half the baked goods they offer there was only one item I wouldn’t buy again.

All their bread is wild yeast. And they offer 100% whole grain loaves! The pistachio dream is ridiculously good. I literally dream about it and I’m not a meringue or nut person. The quality of ingredients shows in everything and their thoughtfulness about healthier options is also evident. As in their almond croissant which features a non traditional whole meal “marzipan”.
Can’t wait for them to make a cookbook!!“

It was very good. An 8.5/10 for my palet. Coffee was very good. Not Great. Would definitely drop in again when visiting.“

“We used Freedom bakery for our wedding cake. Being not from the area we were not sure what to expect, we did two flavors mango coconut and raspberry lemon, by far the best cake I've ever had, and they did it exactly as we wanted. I highly recommend them.“

“A fun and delicious bakery with a large variety of pastries, tamales and other go-to food supplies.

This is a great shop to pick up the necessities and a sweet treat while you're at it! On Sundays, there is a farmers market in the parking lot, so you can grab something to snack on while you roam the market or get your groceries and then finish up with a pastry. The prices are great too!“

“Rosa's tortillas are one of the best tasting tortillas , I enjoy serving to my family, they're very easy to prepare in many Mexican foods, my family's favorite are flautas , also enchiladas , en tostadas, they have the best tasting tortilla which is always the number one best when you're using Rosa's tortillas in watsonville .“

They have these little TOLL HOUSE Chocolate Chip Cookies and mini snickerdoodles. I love just grabbing a few since they are small.I needed to grab a sweet treat one day and stopped here while waiting for another order nearby. They had just baked some fresh cinnamon roll twists that were not even frosted yet. I got two of them to go and they were so delicious and definitely satisfied my sweet tooth.Everyone who works here is super-nice and always helpful. “As a vegan, finding a truly delicious birthday cake is tough to find. But Black China Bakery outdid themselves! My husband ordered the vegan raspberry chocolate cake for my 64th and it's the best I've had in a long time. Kaitlin outdid herself with the decorating as well. As a long time vegan cook and baker, I'm not sure how she manages such a delicious frosting, but it was divine. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Black China Bakery. They were kind, accommodating to my husband's requests and all around a business that deserves our support.“

“I found Rebecca's muffins at Campbell farmers market. They are so delicious and you can't really tell whether they are sugar free, soy free, gluten free and vegan.
