“This spot wasn’t the easiest to get to with limited parking, but to be fair, it was a sunny Saturday so crowds were expected. The coffee and ice cream did not disappoint! We used to visit Kraken when they were in Pismo and were surprised to learn they’d moved, but luckily found them at their new location. Enjoyed a great view with my cup of coffee while wrapping up some work!“

“If you are visiting Avila Beach it’s a must to put Hula Hut on your list to stop for a delicious hand scooped ice cream! Your choice of cup, sugar cone, or waffle cone! The line can look long but the scoopers are fast and the wait is short! The store also has a huge variety of fun things to shop for from wind chimes to kitchen towels and much much more! I know the employees there enjoy their job because they are all smiling and laughing as they serve their customers. Highly recommend!!!“

“Not planning on stopping in Pismo Beach on my way home but really needing a caffeine boost I dropped in on Kortado. Ordered my Java but overwhelmed by the smell of deliciousness I asked one the guys behind the counter what to get and quickly he pointed me to the croissant cinnamon roll. Insane. Breakfast burritos are amazing, the iced coffee and cinnamon rolls are delicious and there is such a great little outdoor space. The owner, Jenna is so wonderful and very friendly, and t he drive through is so convenient. If you want to have some great coffee and support a local spot, this has the place to go ✨“

“Checked out Field Day Coffee with a friend today. Space was utilized well as a coffee shop. Open and airy throughout the inside portion of the coffee shop. Ample outdoor seat which was a bonus, and just as the sun came out on our visit. Coffee was delicious and made to order correctly on the first time. I shared a Brown Butter cookie with my friend and it was Delicious. Pricing is fare and coffee tasted much better than other big brand coffee chains. Definitely recommend field day coffee if your visiting SLO. 👍“

“Outstanding coffeehouse with some delicious unique creations. While they had regular espresso coffees, like everyone else, they also had many signature flavors that were really tasty. My favorite was Carmel Apple Butter Latte. Check it out when you’re in town.“

“I've been to Breezeway Cafe once, and the folks who run the place are sweethearts. My partner spilled his Americano, and they remade it for him, which they didn't have to do. Their portions are enormous. A side of bacon and biscuits with gravy will last you, or at least me, two meals. The Strawberry Dream was great, perfect amount of ice cream, strawberries, and breading. My only feedback is both the gravy and breading could use a little more salt, but I'm sure I could ask for that next time. I wish they weren't 300 miles away from where I live“

The ladies working here are always so sweet and even offered us a freebie sample of one of their energy refreshers. Will be back! :)“

“We love Scorpion Bay Coffee!They have amazing customer service (always a warm welcome!), and their drinks are incredible. The Ice Blended Turtle is fantastic, and the Salted Caramel Mocha with the drizzle and whip is a perfect combo its a perfect balance of sweet and salty. Great small-batch coffee and pastries in a cozy spot. This is the best Coffee spot here in Pismo always bringing us back for more!“

For context, Claudia was having trouble joining the wifi and her review likely reflects impatience.

“I came on a Sunday morning around 9:45am. The cappuccino and chocolate chip cookie I had were delicious! Service was good, and baristas were friendly and accommodating. It was quite empty, so the environment was peaceful. Not sure why it was empty, because the coffee is awesome!“

“We love Scout Coffee. Always excellent. We normally order cappuccinos, but we tried their Vanilla Bean Lattes this morning with a pistachio shortbread cookie that we shared. They make their own syrups. It was delicious. Our favorite is still their cappuccinos, because you get the true robust coffee flavor. This coffee shop is a hub for morning people—great atmosphere—one of a kind ambiance.“

I usually get the Croissandwich, a big croissant with eggs, cheese, onions, tomato and avocado, hold the tomato for me. It’s a big sandwich. They may use up to three eggs.

“A nearby Starbucks was closed so I came here instead. Unfortunately this place was PACKED, lots of people waiting for their orders, only 3 people behind the counter, seemed like one was in training. Jon immediately welcome every customer in anyway, he asked how your day was going while packing other order and seemed to be a master of doing 10 things at once while keeping the focus on the customer. 10/10 made my day better and made my experience pleasant in what could have easily been irritating and frustrating.“
