“We cannot say enough about the amazing dining experience we had! The presentation, wine selection and attention to detail were true 5 star experience. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. We don’t get much chance to dine at true 5 star experience and this Chef and staff enticed us to return very soon!“

“I highly recommend Idle Hour winery and kitchen in Oakhurst. I found out about the winery when looking for a place to eat in the area on the Internet and I’m so glad I did. It was one of my more memorable meals. I had one of their wines, which was outstanding with a salmon dinner accompanied by a very large salad. I usually don’t have dessert, but, being gluten-free, I decided to try their flourless chocolate cake. I’ve never had one I’ve particularly liked, but I doubt that I will be able to resist that dessert the next time I go for dinner, although I will have to try their Sunday brunch next.“

“The food was delicious! I had the filet mignon beef Wellington and my husband had the crusted salmon. Both dishes came with sides and desserts included and it looked amazing and was absolutely delicious. The price per plate, only $55., that’s a bargain these days. The atmosphere of old times mountain house was cozy and comfortable. We were seated in front of the fire place. We’ll definitely be eating there again soon.“

“We’ve eaten here twice, and the food is quite authentic Chinese cuisine. The Spicy Boiled Fish and Beef Brisket Tofu Pot were both great, and the baby bok choy was very fresh. The only downside was that the beef brisket pot had a bit too much filler underneath. At other restaurants, I’ve had pots with much more beef, but here it was only a thin layer on top“

“We stopped in on our way to Yosemite. Absolutely one of the best meals we had in all of California. I’m still dreaming about the beer battered artichoke hearts. We tried the peach burger and were pleasantly surprised. Totally unassuming town with some kind of genius behind the menu. What a gem.“

“We checked into the lodge for two more nights and went to the restaurant on the first evening, which had a really nice atmosphere. Since we were seated right next to the fireplace, I was able to have dinner without freezing for the first time :)
We shared the Tuna Poke and what can I say - MEGA DELICIOUS! Even for two, this starter was simply incredibly good and filling.
The Inside Out Avocado Quesadillas were the best I've ever tasted. A total of four large pieces - we ate two of them for breakfast the next day during a hike in Yosemite :)

“Breakfast was wonderful, many interesting choices. I subbed out the regular waffle with my chicken and waffles for one of their caramel pecan waffles. It was fabulous. Staff was extremely enjoyable and helpful, forgot his name but A++ service dude, you know what’s up.“
