“My husband and I stumbled upon Baxter’s while looking for somewhere to eat for my birthday. It ended up being the best meal we’ve ever had! We had a view of the water, had amazing filet mignon tacos (they were so good, we ordered another round to go), and our entrees were to die for! My partner got the Beef Wellington and it was melt in your mouth! I got the scallops and they were positively delightful! We had the pleasure of meeting one of the owners and not only was he kind, but you could see the pride he had for his restaurant. We loved it so much that we pretty much immediately decided were going there for our anniversary next month. I cannot recommend them enough.”

“So I have the cheeseburger and garlic fries. The garlic is not just a powdered sprinkled on it is actually handmade and put on the fries it is phenomenal. And the amount of fries they give you wow they're just over the top. The cheeseburger that I got had real beef. Not the stuff you see at McDonald's this is real beef like what you buy at your own barbecue at home. A cheeseburger and fry filled me up. The fries were crispy and not limpy like most other restaurants. When coming here you're going to get a quality meal. I'm going to be coming back here I hope you will too.”

“Just had my 3rd dining experience this morning and all 3 breakfast meals have been fantastic! As a person on the carnivore diet, I find it refreshing I can order an all protein meal and be completely satiated without paying an arm and a leg. Eggs were scrambled perfectly and the bacon was delicious. And who could have thought a simple burger patty could taste so good. Must be a magic griddle! Highly recommend! Oh, and service is amazing. My Americano was tasty!”

“First tine being here. It was worth the drive from Santa Rosa. I ordered the Pork Dumplings and Spicy Chicken Plate. The chicken was cooked to perfection and the spice was perfect. Will definitely come back again to try the other items they have. Perfect time to be here is during sunset. You will get the best view of the bay. The vibes of the establishment is super chill.”

“I love the food here and have eaten here many times. I usually get the pho or banh mi. The smoothies are delicious! But the boba is gross. It always has a bite to it and never tastes sweetened with brown sugar or honey. That's fine though, I just don't order it!

Unfortunately the woman working at the front makes me feel like I'm not welcome or inconveniencing her every time we order. We always say hi, sometimes we have questions, and tell her to have a nice day, but we either never get a response or the response is low energy. There's no eye contact, low volume, and visible eye rolling or scoffing, I know customer service isn't a fun job, but it almost feels personal? I'm really glad they have an online ordering option and a kiosk now because I can avoid her. She triggers my social anxiety because I feel like I'm doing something wrong every time I'm there.”

“It is such a beautiful little place. It has a cozy atmosphere. The food was fabulous. We had a party of 13. We had a wide range of delicious food. Lamb ..Chicken Filet Mignon.. Mussels .. Prawns... Sausage . with pastas spinach mashed potatoes green peppers it was all just so good. I totally recommend”

“I started going to Rrags in 2002 when my daughter started working there as a barrista. she received excellent training, earned enough to buy her laptop and most of her first car. the owners, and staff are very pleasant and welcome regulars and new customers with a smile.”

“My wife and I stumbled into Drift for the first time last Sunday while spending the weekend in Wilmington for a comedy show I did. Absolute great coffee and a fantastic brunch. Bought a bag of beans for home, and the coffee I’ve had the last two days is out of this world. The coffee is rich and flavorful. I can’t wait to get back to Wilmington so I can go to Drift. “I used to work in this building in the early 1980's at the Bronze Seal coffee shop. It's great to see it still thriving. I remember the original owner Roger Steck. Such great memories growing up in Benicia.”

“Great little spot in the industrial area of Benicia. They had a fair amount of seating set up both indoors and outdoors, and they had 8-10 beers on tap. I went with their Golden Stout and really enjoyed it. The Beertender (Molly) was super friendly. I'd go back if I was in the area.”

“Definitely my favorite place for Chicago style hotdogs and hamburgers in Solano County. The polish with grilled onions is the best and you can take it into Cullen's Pub next door so you can have it with a beer on-tap. Seating both inside and outside with plenty of free parking on the streets of downtown Benicia. Don't forget the french fries.”

“We have been going to Dianna's for years. We moved to the area back in 2014, and found out in 2017 that my husband was celiac.

Dianna makes all her cakes, cookies, breads and pastries with loving care, and makes many items gluten free, which is such a treat for my husband.

Her sandwiches and coffee are good too, and she usually has homemade GF bread in reserve to make a quick GF sandwich for those requiring it.

Like any "local store", product availability varies. Some days my husband can get GF Banana Bread or Carrot Cake. Other times, those aren't available but GF Zucchini Bread and Red velvet cake are. It's actually a nice surprise.

I suspect Dianna's was hit hard by Covid, and I know she's mostly a one-man show now, which must be a lot of work. But she does a good job of cranking out the goodies and serving them up well.

If you're in the area, especially if you are celiac, I highly recommend giving Dianna's a try for lunch or coffee/tea and baked goods!”

Don’t over think it, go try it for yourself.

The Bad -
1.) They’re so popular they always run out of fish!

Overall, the magic they create in a food blows away a majority of the local restaurants.

“I was there one morning and they were doing something new for there customer. If you would tell another friend or person that you love ❤️ then they gave your breakfast for free. Wow. So a course I called up my daughter and told her that I love her. McDonald wants to spread the word love your neighbor and family. I only eat at this McD because I know the faces and when I have breakfast 🍳 with my friends once a week they bring me my order to me. They haven't messed up my order like the one on Columbus Parkway. Lol 😝”

“This is my favorite McDonald's! The service here is great even when it gets rather busy the staff is friendly. They have a self serve fountain drink still which not all McDonald's have now and the bathrooms are clean.”
