“[longtime student opinion]
One of my favorite restaurants around campus. Price is by weight so whatever you do, do *NOT* get the corn. Yummy food, good sauce selection, good value. As a not-so-big eater, I'm often able to have a really good lunch for well under $15, but YMMV.“

“We initially tried to come here on a Friday at 7 PM but there seemed to be a long wait so we decided to check it out on a Wednesday and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!“

“Great experience at MUMU Hot Pot in Emeryville! The quality of the meat was excellent—very fresh, nicely marbled, and perfect for hot pot and grilling. The broth was flavorful, and the dipping sauces were well-balanced. Service was friendly and attentive, and the overall atmosphere was clean and comfortable. Definitely a great spot for a satisfying hot pot meal in the Bay Area. Will be back again!“
“This place is a hidden gem. You must go! The music venue was out of this world great! We saw Zinggflower on a Monday night & they were terrific! Blues/Jazz. They play on Monday nights. The food here was terrific also, Southern Comfort food & yes the biscuits were great! Each night there is a different band but go see Zinggflower on Monday nights if you can. They will not disappoint. The musicians are so talented!“

“Went for CNY dinner with a party of 6, spent about $30 per person on AYCE, but it was worth it, wide variety of meats and vegetables to choose from on the AYCE menu, sauce bar wasn't necessarily lit up well, hard to see some of the options, but it didn't take away from the experience at all! Great place for hotpot in the East Bay!“

“Our daughter is obsessed with soup dumplings which we found at Fusion Dumpling. The traditional pork were great, but try the black truffle and wagyu soup dumplings. You won't be disappointed!“

“I've been here with my partner a few times and it has always been a nice treat. The service and staff has always been super friendly and fast! I understand the QR code ordering can still be a shock to some, but I can say it has improved since the first time we've used it a few years back. It's fast, clear and I find it more convenient as I can always add to the order at anytime.
We were a party of 4 with one who only eats veggies. We ordered a split pot, premium beef combo, the big veggie combo, lotus, noodles, and fried tofu. The choices of broth are plenty. The mild, to me, is a bit spicier than usual so if you're not used to it, I suggest the normal broth and just add a little hot oil to your liking. That was perfect to start our table off. We added a couple of items later, but that was a good portion for 4 people. Lots of ingredients and broth choices. If you like more customization to your hot pot rather than an all you can eat business model, this place may be a better choice and in some cases, a better value.
After having been there more than a handful of times, I can safely say that I've never had a bad experience there. Always a great date night for me and my partner. With businesses coming and going in today's climate, I'm always happy to see this little corner spot in the mall still serving.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options ala carte! My partner is vegetarian. The problem with all you can eat business model is that she can't eat most of the stuff yet paying a premium price. This place offers ala carte so we can do a split pot. She orders the veggies for her side and i can eat the meats on my side. Works out for the both of us!“

“New favorite KBBQ spot in Oakland. I was really impressed with how fresh the meat was, and they have a huge variety to choose from. It’s hard to find a place this good that doesn’t totally wreck your wallet, but the price here is really fair. Definitely coming back with a bigger group next time!“

“Tasty Point is a really delicious Taiwanese/Chinese restaurant on Santa Clara. They have many hot pot options, but their other dishes are stand-outs too! Nearly everything we've tried has been super tasty. And their boba and other drinks are great.“

“Hot Pot Champ in SF is an absolute win. From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming, clean, and lively—perfect for both group dinners and cozy catch-ups. What initially attracted us was the Ferris wheel presentation with the beef and lamb is suuuupppperr cute! Not only is it fun and eye-catching, but the quality of the meat was outstanding. Fresh, tender, and perfect for hot pot.
The broth options are rich and flavorful, I mix the tom yum with my husband’s spicy soup and the ingredients across the board are top-notch. Service was attentive, friendly, and fast without ever feeling rushed. They’re happy to explain options and make recommendations, which makes the experience even better.
Portions are generous, prices are fair, and everything just hits. Easily one of the best hot pot spots in San Francisco. This place is now officially in our regular rotation.“

“I came here on good reviews and I was not disappointed. I got the hot and sour soup and the beef and chili oil. The wintermint bao buns hit my sweet tooth and my absolute favorite was the siu mai. Bursting with goodness and full of flavor! Will be back. A neighbor for the chicken and it looked phenomenal.“

“Great hot pot spot next to Uc Berkeley. They serve alcohol and it’s perfect for those who are freezing and need some nice soup. There is plenty of parking with a parking lot right next door. Can’t miss it. I’d recommend the seafood. Don’t know what the other reviews are talking about but it smells amazing! Would come back again!“
