“Always go here at least one a week. Really love the spicy soup compared to the other similar restaurant in Berekeley. Anyway I think I left my black SALOMON running belt in your place. I cannot contact the number, I will comeback tomorrow. Hope you can keep it for me. Thanks!“

“[longtime student opinion]
One of my favorite restaurants around campus. Price is by weight so whatever you do, do *NOT* get the corn. Yummy food, good sauce selection, good value. As a not-so-big eater, I'm often able to have a really good lunch for well under $15, but YMMV.“

“We initially tried to come here on a Friday at 7 PM but there seemed to be a long wait so we decided to check it out on a Wednesday and we only had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table. This location was originally a Taco Bell, but I love the atmosphere there, friendly, good service and comforting food! It's a cozy place perfect for a cold wintry day to have your own little boiling hot pot of tasty broth and hubby and I thoroughly enjoyed our meals! Hubby ordered the Lau Pork Bone Marrow and I had the Lau Oxtail. I ordered the Oxtail without the tripe, just more oxtail! The hot pot came out boiling with oxtail and beef balls. All I had to do was cook the egg noodles, taro, tofu, cabbage, veggies into the soup as there was plenty of delicious oxtail and meat balls in the delicious broth! Great for a bone chilling night! Next time I'd love to try the shaken beef!“
“Biscuits and Blues is the bomb! The music is fantastic, just what we expected. The whole audience was totally into it. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. The food menu is tailored to fit the experience, small dishes with a Southern flair. It's a hidden SF gem-go there while you can!“

“Delicious and explosive flavor vegan hot pot. We got the spicy Sichuan Spicy and Mushroom broths. For the veggies, we bought Fried Beancurd Rolls, Fried Tofu Pods, Pumpkin, Broccoli, Bamboo Shoots. For noodles we had Udon and House Ramen which were both quite tasty. They have a self service sauce bar as well where you get whatever add ins you may need for your broth or extras.
The atmosphere was definitely busy as there were lots of guests but everyone seemed to be getting their food quickly.
Pricing is a bit more on the higher side so be expecting that, but it's definitely worth it!
My top recommendation would be the Sichuan Spicy broth, it is soooo good.“

“This all you can eat hot pot spot is a hidden gem! The broths were out of this world, one of them was made by cracking open a real coconut and pouring it right into the pot. Portions are huge, the quality is amazing, and it’s all very pocket-friendly. I’m never going back to my old hot pot place after this!“

“Our daughter is obsessed with soup dumplings which we found at Fusion Dumpling. The traditional pork were great, but try the black truffle and wagyu soup dumplings. You won't be disappointed!“

“I've been here with my partner a few times and it has always been a nice treat. The service and staff has always been super friendly and fast! I understand the QR code ordering can still be a shock to some, but I can say it has improved since the first time we've used it a few years back. It's fast, clear and I find it more convenient as I can always add to the order at anytime.
We were a party of 4 with one who only eats veggies. We ordered a split pot, premium beef combo, the big veggie combo, lotus, noodles, and fried tofu. The choices of broth are plenty. The mild, to me, is a bit spicier than usual so if you're not used to it, I suggest the normal broth and just add a little hot oil to your liking. That was perfect to start our table off. We added a couple of items later, but that was a good portion for 4 people. Lots of ingredients and broth choices. If you like more customization to your hot pot rather than an all you can eat business model, this place may be a better choice and in some cases, a better value.
After having been there more than a handful of times, I can safely say that I've never had a bad experience there. Always a great date night for me and my partner. With businesses coming and going in today's climate, I'm always happy to see this little corner spot in the mall still serving.
Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie options ala carte! My partner is vegetarian. The problem with all you can eat business model is that she can't eat most of the stuff yet paying a premium price. This place offers ala carte so we can do a split pot. She orders the veggies for her side and i can eat the meats on my side. Works out for the both of us!“

“I've been here more times than I can count. I've eaten at multiple KBBQ spots to find a place that can best this one...can't find it!
The pork belly at Jong Ga house might be the best quality I've ever eaten. It just melts in your mouth(assuming that you cook it right, of course).
I can't praise this place enough.“

“I've dined in 3 times so far and this recent time I came with a group of 7! Super friendly and the food came out quickly. If you love stinky tofu, get this hotpot and the fried stinky tofu. At the end of the meal, they give you a scratch card for some goodies!
Huge menu of hotpot, dessert, and boba. Clean interior and the perfect spot to catch up with friends and family“

“I never leave reviews, but we came here this morning with family from out of town and had the best time! Super cute, great food and service, not crowded, parking lot, and to top it all off - a live band!! Checked all the boxes and then some :) don’t let this one go Alameda!!“

“Heads up, they don’t do the midnight special anymore. We came in on a Friday at 10 expecting the deal and we were told they don’t do it anymore. Overall, couldn’t complain about the food but they kept forgetting to bring stuff we ordered and a lot of stuff wouldn’t arrive until way later when we were already done.“

“Authentic chinese food from the taishan region. If you’re looking for orange chicken, maybe keep scrolling. And the “bad service” honestly is just the charm of authentic asian dining (although still p good imo) and you know you’re here for the flavors and not for the hand-holding.“
