“Tried this place on a whim one night and was really pleasantly surprised! I love the style of personal hot pot when you get to pick all your own ingredients, but it had been a really long time since I've found one near me. I loved this place! All the ingredients were so fresh and they were very quick after we gave it to them. It was also fairly priced in comparison to Berkeley prices - it's $16 per pound and mine ended up being around $18.50. I thought it was well worth for the quick service, great food, and comforting, cozy atmosphere.“
“It was outstanding! The staff was very attentive and the food was very affordable. I found the quality of the food to be very high.Unfortunately, the air conditioning in the restaurant was turned up very high (date: April 3, 2024), which is why it was very cold when we sat down.Since we wanted to book an Uber for our way home and there was no wifi available, the waiter was kind enough to give us hotspot. Very very friendly and accommodating.Clear recommendation!Wheelchair accessibility: Unfortunately, I didn't see whether there was a lift, but please note that you have to go up one floor to the restaurant.“
“Staff were super attentive and helpful. We were told to order mild level of spicy and were greatful for the suggestion, as that was plenty spicy for our group. Also their vegan mushroom broth was so flavorful we took some home! Quality was really fresh and I would reccomend this place to my friends as well as plan on coming back!Vegetarian options: Their mushroom stock is super flavorful and an excellent option for everyone!“
“On this cold atmospheric rainy day, I'm glad I scored a parking spot right outside otherwise I might given up on trying this place. I'm glad the parking gods were with me today. It gave me the chance to try their Thai beef boat noodle soup. Omg it was perfect. The broth was a flavorful deep sweet soy sauce based broth with earthy spice undertones. The thinly sliced beef was tender. The noodles were al dente with a nice chew. Perfection in a bite. They had cute condiments but I didn't need to use anything. It was super tasty as it is. Anytime I'm in Alameda I'll definitely stop by for some great Thai food. A cute sweet Thai family runs this place.“
“So this was a random find and was only craving some hot pot on a cold Monday sprinkly evening. This place popped up on Yelp while checking in the area I was in and I said let's check it out. We arrived around 6ish and there was not too many people but by the time we left, it was 3/4 full.A very modern ambiance for a Vietnamese restaurant. Nicely decorated and plenty of tables even for a big group. It's located in the old Blanding shopping area now where Nob Hills Market is where they modernized the place from my childhood days in Alameda. Alameda has been changing a lot over the decade and for the better with more places to eat.We ordered their sangria and it was pretty good. We also ordered their Beef Luc Lac. Very good portions of beef. The marinated beef was very good and we finished all of that. We also ordered their Lau Pork Bone Marrow soup, and added Wagyu beef and some enoki mushrooms! Not a disappoint. I actually thought the pot was small and that it was not enough for my husband and I to share but I was so wrong!! Very rich broth but once you add the veggies it makes the broth so much better. The broth was so good and creamy.Since it was only two of us, we couldn't order more or add a dessert to try because we were just too full from two things. Service was great! We will definitely be back to try other things. If you like hot pot style, come try this place.“
“We have been coming to this place everytime we come to San Francisco for the last 9 years. The food is fantastic, I literally crave their Dan Dan Noodles and they have some of the best Pork Belly I have ever had. The walk through Chinatown is what we look forward to as well. Service is great and we recommend this place to everyone. Here's to many more years of fantastic food , love San Francisco and love Spicy King!!!“
“谢谢!Super yummy made fresh to order veggie dim sum options in the heart of Chinatown, veggie grub round here is far and few but this is worth a stop. I hauled the Vegetable and Shiitake Mushroom Bao's whilst on the move, great flavor but slightly pricey comparing to other joints in the area. It's certainly one of my new local go-to's, this place is a must as it offers incredible actual traditional Chinese treats at a great price.Support local businesses!“
“I've been coming here for over 10 years. It's my favorite Korean restaurant. The banchan is always fresh and delicious, plus they give you lots of them. There are a good amount of additional items you can get with all you can eat, we usually get the kimchi pancake, corn cheese (sounds weird but it's good) and maybe the pan fried dumplings. My favorite are the boneless marinated short ribs and bulgogi and my friend likes the brisket. The meat is good quality and you can tell they make everything in house. Yeah, it's not super cheap but it's the same price as other similar places or hot pot.For delivery I usually get the rice cake and dumpling soup. It's so good! And makes me feel better if I'm getting sick. You still get banchan and rice with delivery, so if you think about it with all the delicious side dishes included it's a pretty good deal.I still see the same owners as when I first started going here, I'm glad it's still in the same hands. It's consistently good. The one thing I'm not as fond of is the fried chicken.. it's not crispy.Service is good, sometimes they forget something.. but it's not a big deal, just remind them or ask again. It's pretty busy sometimes so it's impressive they remember all the different things people ask for refills for...Parking isn't great, but I always find a spot within a couple blocks. People mention the area is dicey at night. It's not that bad. Not as good as ten years ago, but just don't leave stuff in your car (like the rest of Oakland) and you'll be fine.“
“I have been here 2 times now. Once for lunch and dinner, both doing AYCE. Today we made a reservation to celebrate my sisters birthday. We all loved the food, enjoyed the variety, and left very satisfied. Our server was great. It was one gentlemen working the whole restaurant along with a bus boy. I asked everyone in our party, and they would all come back. Favorite Items:My niece loved the corn cheese, the soy garlic Korean friend chicken (it was actually the favorite of most of the table) and quail eggs. My mom loved the mussels and the spicy miso broth mixed with traditional. My sister enjoyed the variety of veggies, lobster & fish ballsMy brother enjoyed all the meats and KFCMy favorite item to put in the pot is fish tofuThere is something for everyone here. You won't leave disappointed. One thing that I would tell you to keep in mind. Parties of 5 or more will get charged a service fee, which is the tip. On top of tax, the bill becomes quite expensive. We did the premium AYCE, and ordered a bottle of Soju. The bill total came to be $225, including tax and tip the bill was $300. Which comes out to $50/person. When I came for lunch with a friend. We ordered a grilled dish, soju and makgeoli. I believe we each paid $60 tip. The service was great. Food was great. &we all left satisfied. The whole experience was worth the price. I would definitely come again and highly recommend this restaurant.“
“Have dinner at the Tasty Pot restaurant near your hotel? How touching it is to be able to eat heart-warming and stomach-warming hot pot in the United States There are many diverse restaurant choices around the University of Berkeley? The nostalgic Taiwanese flavor - something like San Ma's Hot Pot actually costs NT$4,374 (including 18% tip). After traveling to Europe and the United States, you will find that prices in Taiwan are cheap in comparison?Of course~ Salaries in Europe and the United States are higher than those in Taiwan The flavor of the small hot pot is average, and the ingredients are just like Taiwanese San Ma. The pot is too flat and many of the ingredients are floating on the top of the soup. If you add more ingredients, it will be difficult to cook it?For example: dumplings?“
