“This meal was the highlight of our LA trip! I don’t know what kind of sorcery is afoot here but this little spot manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts. I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door and I liked that they have you order and pay before sitting down, it makes the dining experience more relaxing and low key. Loved how short and sweet the menu was, the chef has incredible restraint and a crystal clear vision. Every single thing we had was incredible, the best hk french toast and bolo bao I have ever had, and omg the scallion roll and dumplings. I don’t know what it is about this place but I’m still thinking about that meal days later. Also, the dining room made me feel like I was in a tvb serial from the early 90s which is the highest compliment.“

“A great little gem. We stopped in for dinner - not especially hungry due to late lunch but knew we needed to eat something. We split the cucumber salad - so fresh and tasty, a little sweet, a little salty. It’s sold as a small appetizer but, easily splittable. Then pork potstickers and veggie pancakes - eight of each, so plenty to share and also very tasty. Definitely would go back. Friendly attentive service to round out a great find.“

“WHY DID YOU DROP THE CRISPY SKIN CHICKEN!? This has always been one of our favorite restaurants in LA, easily among the top 5 fried chicken dishes in the city. It was recently replaced with a chicken katsu, and I don’t understand why. Please come to your senses and bring back LA’s finest chicken. Ditto the cumin lamb.“

“I sampled their famous xiao long bao, delicious dumplings, savory fried rice and garlic string beans. Each dish was a taste experience, from the delicious dumplings in broth to the perfectly seasoned fried rice. The service is great and the atmosphere is inviting. Don't miss this place for authentic Taiwanese cuisine and unforgettable flavors. It has the taste of home.“

“Amazing place, amazing food, and amazing customers service!! The braised pork was absolutely delicious for such an affordable price and their portions are certainly worth it. I only ordered the rice as my base and braised pork on the side, it was nicely cooked, tender and the quail eggs were top quality. Highly recommend Tigawok and definitely coming back for more!!!“

“Good atmosphere with great lightning. Such a nice chill place to eat Chinese food near USC!
Ordered the shrimp fried noodle, which was good in flavor— downside is that the dish was overpriced and a bit underwhelming appearance-wise. Also ordered the QuaiLin noodle, which was spicy at the right level— delicious!“

“Just pass the long queue in din tai fung and come to this restaurant. You won’t regret. Xiaolonngbao is good and at standard price. Beef fried noodles is superb. The spicy ox tail soup is a must try and basically it’s the broth of Taiwanese beef noodles. Service is excellent!“

“Handmade with love. Tastes as if I'm at my Halmoni's house. Delicate, real and subtle Korean flavors of my childhood, not too sweet or salty. My bf and I ordered the steamed veggie dumplings, chive pancake ((better than my Sumo's! Shhh)), king sized veggie dumplings, side of rice and miso soup. Cooked to order -- be patient. Soft textures. Sweet, hardworking couple. Our fav is the steamed veggie mandu. Vegetarian friendly. Perfect meal. ❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶 I love this place, if I lived in LA I'd be here all the time.“

“What incredible service from Zander. On New Year’s Day with the restaurant completely packed he made some magic happen and got me and my girlfriend a table for our anniversary. It doesn’t stop there! The service through out the whole dinner was incredible with recommendations and check ins. The ambiance as well was awesome with modern vibes and music going. We had the xiao long bao, chicken fried rice, and three cup chicken and oh my god was it incredible.“

“I’ve been coming here since 2012. I LOVE this place. It’s the kind of place that’s been frozen in time, you can tell by the signage. Not everything needs to look “contemporary.” This place is timeless guys. Def recommend the breakfast burrito, just be patient because it’s cooked fresh to order😌“

“Had a great meal! Forwent ordering potstickers in order to try the enticingly named Gang of 4 ×4 - a delicious decision! The Mao's Hometown was just-right spicy, and I'm sure they put more than $2 extra shrimp on my order. Service friendly and prompt, loved the art. I felt as though I had wandered back into college in the early '70s.“

“Sesame chicken was pretty good. I want to try a few other dishes there. Can't wait! This might end up being my new Chinese food spot! That yellow sauce they give you is super hot! I wasn't ready at all lol. I also couldn't stop messing with it lol“

“The food here as well as service is beyond any experience I've had in LA since I moved here 14 years ago. Chinese food is my favorite, but I have never found one in this town or surrounding cities that could match this place on all points. Some places have good food but rude waiters, or good waiters bad food, you get the point. Came here Sunday after church with my mother for lunch and we were both so impressed. Definitely give this place a shot, and to the restaurant don't change a thing! ❤️❤️“

“This place is just amazing i would go here as a kid and 20 years later I returned everything was still amazing it doesn’t get any better the food and atmosphere is authentic and the prices you just can’t beat you get your moneys worth and you’ll walk out without regrets don’t let the chain link fence places by the city discourage you it’s easy access just walk in the place is cash only so bring cash if not there’s a atm down the block at a check cash place“

“This place was really cool!
You must go!
We met up with a friend of ours who lives in LA. Turns out not a lot of people come here and when they saw our pictures and food, they wanted to come.
It’s such a cool atmosphere and the food is delicious.
Bathrooms are nice and clean.“

“I like this place. Extremely good prices and value. Huge quantities. I mostly just get the orange chicken, white rice, and sometimes get some other appetizers. They also give you tea and some other appetizers for free at the beginning. For the price, how good the food is, and how big the quantities are I would definitely recommend it. Orange chicken 10/10, overall I rate the restaurant a 4.6/5“

I would recommend Jja Jang myun(black noodle), chilly shrimp n pork Tang-sue-yook (fried pork w Sweat n sour dressing)
Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly

“Okay so the food is okay, could be better the ice her little black stuff in it, and the soup water taste kind of old like idk if that makes sense but that’s how it did Taste, maybe this place is under construction or something but beside it being pretty freaking clean, they should get the water checked out.“

“This is my favorite place for an amazing price chinese food. The people are always so nice and the food is hot and fresh. Today I had the garlic shrimp. Amazing! I plan on trying every item on lunch menu. By the way, did I mention I drive an hour away to eat here? Parking is hard but if you can't find parking in the lot, try the street. Well worth it!“

“I was a bit skeptical at thinking it is another restaurant serving s*ty soy sauce drenched noodles, but it was such a pleasant revelation how good the dishes were.
The Super Wok Special Beef is the one to order! It is incredibly tender, slight sweetness to it and buttery. It it served on top of a bed of sliced oranges. It is guaranteed to make you keep coming back for more. The dish is $19+ and serving is generous.
I went back another day to try out the lunch special. This time it was the crispy salt pepper shrimp selected. For $13.75, it came with a soup of the day, rice and the entree. Serving was very generous, maybe even 2 people can share one. It was excellent!
I regret ordering the prawn crispy noodles. Tasted terrible and too salty. Kind of like an overdone soy sauce noodles.“

“Ping Pong Chinese Cuisine is an absolute gem! Every visit is a delightful experience. The food is always fresh and bursting with flavor. Their Signature Crispy Duck is a must-try—perfectly cooked with a crispy skin and tender, juicy meat inside. The Chef’s special beef steak is another standout, cooked to perfection with a rich, savory sauce that complements the tender beef so well. I also highly recommend trying their steam fish w/ scallions and ginger for an extra treat.
The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a family dinner or a casual meal with friends. The service is always top-notch; the staff is friendly, attentive, and eager to make sure you have a great dining experience.
If you’re in the mood for authentic and delicious Chinese food, Ping Pong Chinese Cuisine should be at the top of your list!“

“Jajanmyun is really good, tons of smoky onions. But the serving size is smaller than what I'm use to getting from these types of shops.
Tangsuyuk is cooked well and not overly dry. Sauce is good too, but doesn't have alot of wood ear mushrooms in it.
Overall really good place, I order from here often.“

“Great place for a quick run of Chinese food. I really enjoy their noodles and their mushroom chicken. The food is good and the people are very nice and friendly on top of my the fact that their prices are fair. Their Thai tea is ? delicious !! Order the large one.
Parking: The place gets busy and the spaces in the lot are not enough sometimes. Half of the time you find a space and the other half you have to wait for someone to leave.“

“I have not been here since the 90s, ordered the Wonton Soup-Small, and it was very good. Wontons were yummy and the pieces of Chicken and Shrimp all tasted fresh. Soup was pretty hot, took about 5 mins to cool down my soup. Sadly, no more donuts. Wish owners would make the place look nice because yes it looks
very rundown but food was good. Additional seating would be helpful. I dont remember the cost but for small soup was like $5 to $7 dollars. Glad this place is still here, memories from childhood.“

“A well-known Chinese restaurant with a good size menu. They also have a small Dim Sum selection. The restaurant is clean, the service is good and plenty of off-street parking. The food is well prepared and tasty. We had the pork fried rice and the orange chicken.
Parking: Approximately 20 spots of free off-street parking. Pull into the driveway and park behind the restaurant and you can enter the restaurant from the back door or the front door.“

“I have been eating here for two decades , the food has been great in the past , but recently the quality has downgraded significantly , and the dining area is the same since I can remember, in other words it's starting to decay , it's smells like mold and all the tables and walls have a thick layer of grease, the owners are very nice and work hard , I think it needs a remodeling job immediately so we can enjoy a meal in a cleaner environment.“

“Korean-Chinese-style skewers place. They have this setup where the skewers would *automatically* spin! 🤯 (I'm way more impressed by this machine than I should be. 🤣) Skewers are really yummy; lamb's my favorite. 😋 Also they have the special kind of chapssal tangsuyuk that is made from sticky rice flour and is really fluffy and chewy; I always get it here!“

“Good authentic Chinese food.
We had green beans with minced pork, kung pao chicken, fish filet in black bean sauce, and shrimp with lobster sauce. They are all very good and tasty. A little on the salty side, but still delicious with a "strong character" ;-)
Atmosphere is very casual. The typical Chinese restaurant!
Service is good“
