“I'm very surprised this place has a 3.7, it was really good! My friends and I had a hard time finding a place to eat for dinner while we were driving through Big Sur, and we were extremely hungry and decided to eat at Homestead, and it was such a pleasant surprise! I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was tasty, it was the right level of spice (like a medium, wasn't wanting anything super spicy on a vacation day) and the service was fantastic! It's definitely a bit on the pricier side but it's in a lodge and there's really not many places nearby. I will say the onion rings were very mid, not much flavor at all and not worth the up-charge in my opinion.”

“This has always been the go to spot for me on my way back from Laguna Seca and World Superbike/MotoGP races. I always got the BBQ Chicken, an endless cup coffee and of course the grand finale was a huge piece of delicious carrot cake. No rushing, no problem sitting there hanging out chatting with the help and guests. They recognized me when I would come in year after year on my motorcycle. Great place, can’t beat the view. The food was fantastic, the service impeccable. I would give more than five stars if I could.”

My husband and I both ordered Lunch Box specials and shared a J's Maki roll. Food was fresh and our server was attentive, checking in on us every little while to make sure everything was okay. Mika Sushi is definitely a gem in Carmel Valley Village and we'll definitely be back again.”

“Please know that I am a cook and a food connoisseur. My friend and I dined at Corkscrew Cafe last evening. We were blown away! Every dish we ordered exceeded expectations! It was a perfect party of palatable joy! A friend of Christina's had recommended the Meyer's Lemon Prosciutto Pizza. Serious magic on the tongue!!! And the crust... I normally don't eat the crust of a pizza. I devoured every bit. My favorite pizza is a margarita pizza. We shared. It was every bit as delightful as the Meyer's lemon! I'm a calamari snob. HANDS DOWN the BEST calamari on the Monterey Peninsula! Tender, light, fresh Monterey Bay calamari. And they are brilliant enough to serve it with both tartar sauce and a delightful cocktail sauce. You MUST experience the PEAR SALAD! We delightfully sipped LaMarca Prosecco during our meal. The servers were friendly and caring. The pizza cook a genius! We asked if we could bring fresh gluten-free pizza dough and if they would use it to prepare a pizza for Christina's daughter next week. They are happy to accommodate! It definitely without any hesitation is worth the drive into beautiful Carmel Valley!!! I can't wait to go again and again. I have to try their pasta with Bolognese and their short rib...♥️♥️♥️”
