“Had the good fortune of celebrating a post- wedding brunch at Deetjens. In short, this place has been around so long for a reason - it's good, very very good.

Our party of 12 almost all ordered their incredible Blueberry Pancakes - which were large, sweet, and addicting to eat. I had the Eggs Benedict w/ smoked salmon on an English muffin, which was also excellent - very savory and rich. It was a very quiet table once the food arrived since everyone was too into the food!

Outside of the delicious eats, Deetjens has a very eclectic atmosphere: dark, colorful ceiling drapes, vintage wood furniture, and a wide selection of orchestral classics playing in the background

Staff was very attentive to our large party, making sure we were well stocked on water and condiments.

Having breakfast this good out in the woods while in Big Sur is a treasure - try it, you won't regret it“

“This place was amazing! We got there a little late as a local road was out but they understood completely and seated us with a stunning view. The sunset perfect and then the transition from that to the moon coming up wow!! The waiter treated us like old friends and helped us with some amazing choices. When the food came out we were amazed at the flavors and beautiful presentation. Will have to make another trip from Indiana in the future.“

“I'm very surprised this place has a 3.7, it was really good! My friends and I had a hard time finding a place to eat for dinner while we were driving through Big Sur, and we were extremely hungry and decided to eat at Homestead, and it was such a pleasant surprise! I got the hot chicken sandwich and it was tasty, it was the right level of spice (like a medium, wasn't wanting anything super spicy on a vacation day) and the service was fantastic! It's definitely a bit on the pricier side but it's in a lodge and there's really not many places nearby. I will say the onion rings were very mid, not much flavor at all and not worth the up-charge in my opinion.“

“This has always been the go to spot for me on my way back from Laguna Seca and World Superbike/MotoGP races. I always got the BBQ Chicken, an endless cup coffee and of course the grand finale was a huge piece of delicious carrot cake. No rushing, no problem sitting there hanging out chatting with the help and guests. They recognized me when I would come in year after year on my motorcycle. Great place, can’t beat the view. The food was fantastic, the service impeccable. I would give more than five stars if I could.“

“Super intimate sushi bar overlooking the ocean. Wild Coast Sushi at Treebones is one of our absolute favorite places! They have two omakase seatings a night for around 8 people at a time. Focus is on local fish, and it's super fresh and delicious.During our stay at Treebones last year we had a Friday reservation and ended up loving it so much that we scooped up a rare last minute opening for Saturday as well!“
