“By far the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Not oily. Perfect ratio of outer crunch to fish meat (ie mostly fish). They made it with halibut today. So good.
Blackberry pie was also amazing.
Would come back to eat here“

“love love love it here! my mom and I stayed in fairfax for a whole week and we ate here several times. food is amazing, atmosphere is amazing, staff is amazing. special shout out to our main man Ty who remembered us by name and was always super fun and friendly every time we came in. he may even play you a few songs on his guitar if you’re lucky. this place was definitely a highlight of our trip and i’ll miss going there when we leave. we could also tell that this place is a huge hit with the locals which is always nice to see. thanks for all of the great food, drinks, conversations, and songs Barefoot Cafe! until next time! -Ebony“

“Came here after a long bike ride and there was a longish line but it wasn't too bad.

Good:
- Prompt service - our food came out quickly!
- The strawberry matcha oat latte was super tasty! Wasn't too sweet either
- The korean scramble was great! Huge portion sizes and the potato was freshly crisped
- Cute interior, but it's pretty small inside

Bad:
- The french toast special here is way too sweet it made me a bit nauseous at the end
- Pretty expensive, about $38pp for 2 entrees and a drink

Overall this was a solid brunch spot and super full by the end.“

“I'm biased. My nephew's girlfriend is the manager here so I know the place is terrific😄 that being said, the duck fat secret herb seasoned fries are to die for. The rotating menu offered a killer Baja fish taco which was fabulous. I lived on the beach in Baja for 2 years so I know my tacos😋 The cocktails are professional. They have a great Happy Hour for food too! Good background music but not too loud for conversation.“

“I loved the live music. Saw Space Suit preform. Loved the feel of the atmosphere, like you can feel the history of the place. Service was great. Well priced. Feels like in the middle of nowhere, but the drive is nice through the trees. Well worth it.“

“We ate here a few times during our recent stay. The seafood stew was delicious, perfectly cooked seafood that melts in your mouth. I'm a bread fanatic (what can I say) and the garlic bread shocked me it was so good. I would eat just a meal of the garlic bread if I could. The avocado pasta was also surprisingly good. Wouldn't have thought of that flavor combination but it worked well. Clam chowder was warming and a solid choice, again sort of overshadowed by my aw at the world's greatest croutons on to the soup? Whoever is baking and toasting the bread at this restaurant has a gift.

My least favorite dishes were the seafood risotto (tiny portion, barely any seafood in it), and the chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich had some sort of seasoning in it with the consistency of sand. Like chewing chicken covered in sand. Had to scrape it off.“
