“Was super happy with our dinner at Hippo. Every dish was delicious. The brussel sprouts and cauliflower starters had excellent flavors. All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. Only thing that was lackluster was the passion fruit gelato. Fun vibe, lots of seating, and great service!”

“Absolutely loved this place. We ate at the bar and the bartender was amazing. He was friendly, helpful and made sure we ordered exactly the right amount of food. His cocktails were perfect, like a wizard dishing out magic (I had a second cocktail which I rarely do ☺️). The food was equally good. The home made tofu melted in your mouth. The tuna, uni appetizer was delicate with a dash of wasabi. The heirloom tomato salad was fresh, succulent, and delicious. ? The jidori chicken was so flavorful. Overall it was a perfect meal. “The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

“I recently purchased food from here while attending a conference in the city of Los angeles. It was truly fall off the bone deliciously seasoned chicken. The chicken was tender and juicy. It was a little difficult to separate out some of the smaller Bones from the half chicken but I got through it and enjoyed that I could rend the flesh with my hands because I did not have a knife and fork (I do not mind this it made me feel cool to eat it manually). The bread was spectacular and was baked to a degree of fluffiness that I have not experienced in another bread. I got it with hummus and pickled turnips which were pretty delectable, very toothesome and vibrantly colored. The sauces I chose were the tahini and the red sauce which were both nice accents on the food. I also got a delicious mint lemonade which was the perfect amount of sweet and tart with a nice cool mint flavor.

It is so difficult nowadays to find truly authentic Middle Eastern food, oftentimes it is just a poor imitation co-opted and misappropriated by people from northern Europe who think they have a claim to the land. That's why I am so glad you have gotten food from Jerusalem Chicken where I could tell it was cooked by people truly native to the land.”

“My friend and I had an exquisite dining experience at Bar Sawa. Each course was prepared and presented to perfection. The place was a little tricky to find; there were no signs, and it was in the basement of a very unexpected building. You can also only get down there through the middle elevator! The instructions to get to the restaurant were emailed, but I didn't get to read it in time, so it was my fault. ? We thoroughly enjoyed our meal, ambiance and the entire experience. Great place to take the family or just to grab a bite with some friends. Decorated nicely with taste. Service was fantastic. Staff was friendly and helpful. Their food was absolutely delicious and fresh. Words cannot describe their uniquely creative flavors so do yourself a favor and find out for yourselves, you will not be disappointed. From their tacos and sides to their full rotisserie chicken options, it's ALL delicious. I will definitely be going back, I'm hooked. Bravo to the founders/owners. See you all again soon.”

“We have been going to Horses ever since they opened since it’s right in our neighborhood. The most friendly staff with a big shout out to Amanda. The most amazing craft cocktails and absolutely delicious food. I think we’ve almost tried everything on the menu and have not been disappointed once. Can be hard to get a reservation, but we usually get there at 5:15 and are able to sit at the bar with no problem.”

It's not expensive, the soybean paste stew and steamed egg are very delicious, and the cold noodles are highly recommended!! ?”
