“My Dad and I use to take these Borittos and whap them in foil and put the Borittos on our exoust manifold to keep them warm early in the morning so we can eat them at lunch hot on the construction site - these were the best back on the early 1970's .“

“I’m a revert Mexican. I usually give reviews based off a revert point of view since most halal Mexican food is terrible when viewed in the eyes of a non-Muslim Mexican. This time, either way this is good authentic Cali-Mex food.
There is haram products that they sell, the chicken and beef is halal. The chicken and beef tacos tasted and smelled authentic. The tortillas looked good, and tasted good. They weren’t covered in a thin film of fat or oil, if they were covered in the small film of oil or fat but make it halal then it would make it better.
The topping selections are slightly more than what you would get in a traditional taco stand. Do wish they had a guacamole based salsa option.
One thing I do wish this place had was giving you a few slices of caramelized onions that were on the grill, as that sweet and crunchy flavor of a caramelized onion just makes a taco so much better.
Overall, this place is a gem for Muslims, especially reverts. I wish I could say the only place you’ll find better halal tacos is in Mexico, but no known halal taco shops in Mexico so this is the best place you’ll find halal tacos.“

“The mole poblano was great and I’m pretty sure based on that alone everything else is probably amazing as well. There’s other comfort dishes on the menu that I can’t wait to try in future visits (the pozole and the albondigas). The service was charming and polite. I’m definitely coming back here! 💖“

Crunchy taco, The chile verde is amazing.
Fully loaded, with beans and cheese that stretches from the taco to your mouth.
1 is good, 2 if you are starving. You wont be able to eat 3, they are that big.

“This place is an amazing hidden gem. I wish they were located in a spot that is easier to find because I want others to enjoy their food. There is another mediocre place in town (that shall remain nameless) that everyone raves about but this tiny, family owned taqueria located inside a Mexican market is 100 times better. Please go there and spend your money. They deserve the support and the other place already gets plenty of business because of their location and the fact that most people think it's the only place in town. Let's make Nena's the next best of Brentwood!“

“The waitress that took care of us was so great. Gotta support places that hire and keep good people. I’ll go eat at a place for the people over the quality of the food any day. And the food here was fine. Prices were average. Actually, 5 dollars for a cup of soup that’s half the size of the tiniest coffee mug I ever seen was a bit… disappointing. But my toddler ate her whole kids plate and that’s a sign the food is good. I’ll be back.“

“I ordered an original burrito and they make it just how I like my burritos: rice, black beans and meat (got shredded beef). I know it’s plain and most people add a few more things to their burrito not me. This was perfectly made. It was served Hot as if the all stuffings just came off the pan. It was sooo good!
The service was good. The lady at the front took my order as soon as I was ready and food came within minutes. I didn’t get many pics cause I took my food to go. It’s a good size restaurant and has very festive decor. I’ll have to come back for a sit down lunch or dinner to get a full experience. Until next time :).

“Easily one of the best places for food, period. I go at least once a week and the food is amazing 100% of the time on top of being the least expensive place to eat out that I know of. Amazing food, amazing people, amazing prices; I can't recommend this place enough!“
