6 Best Chicken Restaurants near Buena Park

“It has been years since we have been to Mrs. Knott's fried chicken restaurant at Knott's Berry Farm.
The restaurant itself has been remodeled again, allowing for more seating, a bigger bar and a more modern decorative style meshed with old photographs of the restaurant and painted portraits of Walter Knott and Cordelia Knott.
The menu is simple, but well done. Of course it's claim to fame is Cordelia's receipe for fried chicken. Still hand made, as well as the mashed potatoes, corn, cabbage and rhubarb. The side of chicken noodle soup was superb, creamy and thick with huge chunks of chicken.
It was great and it reminded us of the times we would come here with family on vacations. It's an annual must for us when we are here in Southern California.

“We had such an amazing time the staff members at Knotts Berry Farm chicken dinner restaurant were exceptional. Everybody there was smiling having a good time talking to all of us helping each other out. I saw lots of teamwork. The restaurant was immaculate. The people that checked us in were very nice. I talked to the manager. She was very sweet and kind. The food was delicious. We will definitely be back.“

“Amazing fried chicken“

“I have noticed that this particular Chick-Fil-a has relaxed on some quality. The last several times I’ve ordered breakfast the biscuits have been stale. It’s like they don’t care about the quality of their food anymore. The staff is nice but almost too stiff as if they have it made they don’t need you.

So the only thing I can really say is yes they are courteous.
I just feel that they don’t care about the quality of the biscuits anymore.“

“My first experience with Pelicana Chicken was in NYC around their ktown area, so it felt fitting that my first SoCal Pelicana meal was in the OC area that's like ktown. Food is a solid 3.5 stars and the service is 4 stars, so giving them a rounded up 4 star rating.

After watching a movie at CGV Cinemas on the third floor, we ventured downstairs for lunch. Decent amount of space inside for small and large parties. Our group of three split an order of the banban wings (we got original crispy and garlic sauce - $31) and the peli cheese balls (comes with 5 pieces - $9). Just the right amount of food for us, with a couple of wings left over. Our order of the wings also came with two containers of white radish. Be warned that the garlic sauced wings are heavy on the sauce and garlic, so we actually finished and preferred more of the original crispy wings over the sauced ones. If you have to choose, go with just the crispy wings and the cheese balls.

Service was great: our server refilled our waters and even without us asking for it, knew we needed a to go box for the leftover wings.
