“This was our first time here. We got take out. The food was so good. The chicken has the perfect crunch. You can tell it's made when ordered and not just sitting there. We got the honey garlic wings and for the sides, fries and the cheesling cheese balls. The cheese balls are delicious, never had something like that before, sweet and cheesy. I loved the service as well, I had a worker named Rory who brightened my day with small talk. Not only that they were able to get my order up fast and easy with no complications and even after giving me my food, a big 'ol thank you and have a nice day from Rory made me feel comfortable in the space. The service every time I have visited here has been consistent. They’re friendly and get the orders right every time. Good job to the team and management at this location!

The food here I have noticed has been a bit inconsistent compared to other locations. The fried chicken is sometimes too salty. Overall, not a huge deal but it is something I have noticed.

If you’ve never tried Jollibee before, do yourself a favor and go! Make sure to get the spicy fried chicken (if you’re a fan of spice or even if you’re not since it’s not really spicy at all) and the mango pie. Thank me later!“

We ordered the chicken skins, hush puppies and the #1 with light meat (breast and a wing with potato wedges and a roll). The hush puppies were so flavorful, no need for a dipping sauce. The chicken skins were huge and also very flavorful. We got 2 order of the combo wings. The combo comes with 1 medium size pizza, 12 wings, and 1 liter soda of choice.

You’re able to choose 2 sauces for the wings and we got mango habanero, lemon pepper, honey garlic, and something else. For the pizza, we got bulgogi and Hawaiian.

On top of that I ordered the dumpling and rice cake soup which was pretty good. However, there were only like 6 dumplings and lots of rice cake that couldn’t be finished. Towards the end of the soup, it started getting a bit saltier as well.

The price you pay for the amount of food you get is decent. Flavors are good as well. I think the only complaint is that they drench their chicken in sauce which isn’t my preference when eating Korean fried chicken.“

“For Mothers Day We ordered the Jumbo Meal 3 Chickens and All 3 xl sides Potato Salad because we had rice and beans at the house. It was amazing as always still hot after a 20 minute drive. My in-laws picked it up and drove it down to South County for a visit. It fed 9 people and we got seconds. The Potato salad here is the best! I could eat it every other day. Such an amazing texture. I have gone to other chicken spots and they are good but Juan Pollo is the best.“

“Yesterday afternoon I went to visit Koko Chicken in Garden Grove. It wasn't very busy. There was probably one other table seated and some people coming in and out for takeout orders. The server was very friendly, very attentive, and great about taking my order.

They only make the chicken fresh here; it's all made to order. They dropped off some pickled daikon and some coleslaw-like cabbage dish and then I waited for about 15-20 minutes before the chicken came out fresh. I got a two-piece crispy fried chicken with fries and steamed rice. He also brought out ketchup and the sweet soy on the side for me. The chicken was so juicy and crispy on the outside; it was amazing, definitely one of the best fried chicken experiences in Orange County. If you need a quick lunch this might not be the spot but it's a great place to have phenomenal fried chicken. It's a dark vibe inside but I know at night it's fun to drink and eat here with your friends. I will definitely come back.“

She went above and beyond with us when we inquired as to whether we could get some of that boysenberry ice cream to go. “You know, Korean style chicken has evolved over the past decades in Korea itself and the market’s saturated with many brands more popular than Pelicana, but Peicana was one of THE original brands known for their spicy seasoned chicken (yang nyum)

I have not tried any other Pelicana locations, and I have no particular comment for their regular fried chicken, but the spicy original seasoned chicken at this particular Artesia location is VERY good with generous sauce on the bottom of the box to dip in any portions that you want more of it on. My hubby says it tastes just like what he used to have back in the days (tho he is more of a Kyo chon consumer in Korea, but here in the States this is his favorite). So I would say (for those who like ‘em of course) just get the original spicy seasoned chicken and you won’t fail.
