14 Best Burger Restaurants in Camarillo

“In-n-out is a west coast institution! Full stop.
Is it the BEST burger I’ve ever eaten? No.
Is it a place I will drive to having passed a McDonald, Burger King and a Wendy’s to get there? YES! It is a consistently great burger.
Quality burgers, PROPER fries and Coke products (if you ever switch to Pepsi, you will lose my business. That’s a deal wrecker).
As to those who would disparage the French fries: THEY ARE MADE THE WAY FRIES ARE SUPPOSED TO BE MADE!!! You are tasting fresh cut potatoes. Potato, oil & salt. If you don’t like them, you have become accustomed to garbage fries.
Also, the company is fantastic! It’s privately held and not beholden to a board that will sell their soul to turn a buck. They have a set of values they don’t have to answer for. That’s why Chik Fil A does as well as it does and is equally held in the minds of their loyalists. Trader Joe’s too. They pay better than average, staffed very well, employees enjoy working there and it shows.
Naysayers are more than welcome to stay home or waddle into a McDonalds and order your microwaved garbage from a huge iPad.

“We stayed in Camarillo for a week (our son got married). Our VRBO host recommended this restaurant and it did not disappoint. Our first night there, we were alone. Our second night we brought back 16 people! We easily could have eaten there every day! Go to Azafran, you won’t be sorry!“

“Blvd Burger Co. is the absolute best! The food is awesome, it's super casual, and the prices are great. Their menu has a pretty good variety and everything I've tried is amazing! My favorite dishes here are the Hacienda salad and the sliders. Their milkshakes are incredible as well, and they have some really fun flavors! They have a great happy hour with $2 off wine and beer. They have new owners now who are there a lot and are so friendly. They really make it feel like an "at home" place to be. I enjoy going here even more now than I used to. The employees also seem really happy to be there and really happy under the new owners. They do Bingo nights on Wednesday which are so much fun! I highly recommend adding Blvd. Burger Co. to your list of regular hangout spots! I also heard they just opened up a new location in Van Nuys for to go orders only if you are wanting a quicker bite to eat.

Dietary restrictions: They have keto and gluten friendly options. They have vegetarian options as well.

Kid-friendliness: They have arcade games and they also have sports on their tv screens.“

“man where do I even begin? the minute me and my girlfriend walk in we got greeted and seated, that’s how a food place should be. felt welcomed not that skin color matters but I’ve been to some places and I get stares because of my skin color or appearance, let alone they treated me equally and that meant a lot, the server was an excellent person they treated me and my partner with kindness and patience, the food was on point exceeded my expectations, and let’s not forget the plate boy after he cleaned up after the second we finished, I definitely recommend if you want a good date or a nice lunch. “Stopped in on a whim and was greeted promptly. Had the 1/2 & 1/2 soup & sandwich combo. Best potato leek soup - ordered another serving! Nice plating on the grilled sourdough cheese - 10/10! I’ve cooked at various restaurants in my 35 yrs - Ric’s is great!“

“Overall the habit is amazing. This location seems to take a while for food to be made (especially the milkshakes). Now they charge for ranch! They never did before. This location has a very small dine in space. The fries, sweet potato fries and green beans are amazing!“

“This is a great local’s spot and we live just down the street so we stop in often for a bite to eat. It’s not the fanciest, but the food is always delicious and reasonably priced. They also make the best vanilla shake in town in my opinion! It’s super thick and delicious and their machine is never broken down like McDonalds is!

I am a big fan of the turkey burger. You can also get your onion grilled if you ask for it. Love their sweet potato fries too! There are a few games for the kiddos too as well as a claw machine. Kids menu has a grilled cheese my kid loves! Discount if you pay cash and they even have a frequent guest program! We love supporting local!

Parking: Plenty of dedicated parking, not an issue

Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly, about 6-8 games for $.50-$1 for the kids to play.“

“So my 1st time at this place, pretty surprised to not see it overflowing on a Sunday. It was nice, staff was friendly, but they almost pulled a fast 1 on me. It was early afternoon but i was in the mood for dinner, got a 10 breaded shrimp plate with mashed potatoes with the skin on it, which I'm not fond of, n cheese sticks, n tartar sauce, not the red sauce. They serve me my plate, and my cheese sticks. I started on cheese sticks cause the waitress never brought tartar sauce, she brought the red sauce. Then i look at my shrimp plate n count only 7 shrimps, wtf. Like the cost of food isn't going higer, n you trying to rob me of 3 shrimps, what nerve. Anyway bon appetit to ev1 else.“

“The grill is a tiny shop next to a tiny Subway inside a gas station market backed by an excellent car wash. However, this being Camarillo, it is still very pleasant to sit on the patio and eat while my car is being washed.The breakfast burrito is superb. The selection of authentic toppings is the best I've ever seen. I get queso blanco. The base burrito starts with ham and bacon, and any or all the toppings are included. Their marinated steak burrito is the best I've ever had.They are not cheap. That steak as the only meat burrito is $20, for example, but was incredible. They have a huge assortment of proteins, including tofu chorizo. I don't mind paying up for value, and I taste the value. I usually get the standard burrito and save $6 over the steak only, but I think I'll go get a steak only right now as it is healthier for me.The burgers were good but not great. This is a place for burritos.“

“American sandwich is a good break from hamburgers.
Unfortunately this evening they closed indoor ordering at 8 pm and their drive through is too small for midsized autos so I had to go elsewhere. The turn is too tight when leaving the pickup window to get out and many cars hit their fenders on the wall. I'm not about to in my car or truck.“

“My Experience was a good one. It wasn't a busy night so I was seated right away. My server alex was quick to provide service to my table and was good on checking up wiht me to see if I needed anything. My order did not take long to get to me and man was it delicious. The Whiskey Bacon Burger is bomb. I had an overall great dining experience. I never have a bad one when I come here.“
