Their AC must have broken because they have 2 standing units connected by a tube from their ceiling to blow air. Rent must be high in Calabasas so I hope they can survive with costs rising.“

“Very interesting Van Leeuwen location. When we went at night it was the only establishment that was open in a plaza full of boutiques. All the other lights were dim and off and low and behold an ice cream oasis! Am I hallucinating lol? It was kind of eerie and when we went in the cashier didn't say hi or acknowledge us but stared! “Really kind and friendly staff which I appreciate. They let you sample some flavors since their ice cream menu is constantly changing. I appreciate that they let you sample the flavors since I can be choosy with what ice cream flavor I want. During the last visit, there was an issue with the gift card we had and the staff member was kind enough to see what the issue was and called (over the phone) the manager/owner in order to fix the issue. The store is small inside but there is plenty of seating outside. Also plenty of parking as it is located in the central part of the shopping center. Definitely recommend if you are looking for ice cream around the West Hills area.“

“I really love this place. They also have one in Northridge and they are both amazing facilities. Very high ceilings it truly lives up to the name "house". It is a little pricey but I guess with how big the desert it is worth it. I got the funnel cake Sunday and it was $12.75. I got vanilla ice cream in Oreo, ice cream, whip cream, and Nutella with powdered sugar. It was so delicious. I devoured this with my mom. Can't really see anyone finishing this themselves without being super overly stuffed but I got more than enough by sharing it and I would get it all over again. There is a big parking lot, but it is shared with other stores in the movie theater. Service: There's one person working here in about five guests but he was able to take care of us all equally in a timely manner.“

“I came in today after a long day at work. I've never been to menchies so I wasn't sure what to expect. Luckily, they were enforcing the covid 19 guidelines pretty well by having customers fill out a paper. I think this is a great idea to slow the spread. The young lady working there was really helpful as she recommended some toppings for me since I am a picky eater. She was also really nice and good at keeping a conversation which I am incredibly fond of. I believe her name read charline on the receipt she gave to me. All in all, I was very satisfied and my order was really good! Definitely coming back.“

It's like taking Greek yogurt, adding a little bit of sweetener to it, freezing it, and then pumping it out like soft serve.Take some of that, and mix in some cheesecake flavor, and you're in business.Parking was really easy. The overall Vibe inside the place is a happy one. I think because everybody's happy to get that comfort food treat and dessert. It's nostalgic to say the least.If you're curious how the whole thing works, it's all based on weight. You grab the size of cup you think you want, or pint, and then go to each individual station and put in whichever flavor you like. Then you go to the counter, and ask for whatever toppings you'd like... or no toppings if you don't want any. Which is totally fine.If you're paying separately, like if you had eight people, no problem.
