The Caruso family is so nice and the food is just delicious, pure comfort food. The Gnocchi Al Forno is the best gnocchi I've ever had. Pillowy gnocchi in a hearty, garlicky marinara. It's like eating a WARM HUG.

I also love the Fettuccine Vodka and Chicken Parmesan. The complimentary bread with roasted garlic oil is such a nice gift.”

“Don't knock it just because it is in the mall. This is by far one of the best mexican food joints I have ever been at. The food is amazing! The meat is always seasoned beautifully. Their servings are quite generous. Their burritos and tacos are always loaded up as humanly possible. The staff is professional and super friendly. This is definitely a place I visit multiple times a week!”

Full of flavor and I got it with bacon. It had fresh onion and tomatoes and potatoes. It was a bit on the small side but definitely delicious, will definitely be going back to try more”

“We went to dinner at Pete’s for the first time last night and it was incredible! I loved the way all of the dishes are presented, very thoughtful and pretty. Mike, our server, was very attentive and we also enjoyed chatting with the owner, Sarah.

The ahi appetizer was superb, focaccia freshly baked and delicious, our mains and desserts were yummy as well!

It’s perfect for a date night! The lychee martinis were outstanding the best I’ve had since I was in Hawaii!”

“What a great sushi spot here in Capitola. My 8 year daughter and I came here tonight for dinner. Kevin, I’m guessing he was the owner, gave great recommendations for food, was very gracious that we were dining there, and was overall extremely pleasant to interact with. The edamame was no doubt the best I’ve ever had. Daughter agrees. Will be back, thank you for a great meal and wonderful atmosphere to dine in.”

I have not been to Japan, but my companion has. Our meal was competitive on flavor and quality, and right here in Capitola. You know how miso soup can be a forgettable way to wait for your meal? Not here. Subtle and flavorful, make sure you enjoy some along with a memorable taste of Japan.”

“I came here on a sunny day in January around 12.30ish.
I ordered at the counter and tried to look for a table - but didn't find any - so got takeout
As soon as I was done I saw a table empty out - and I took that one.
The staff was kind enough to accomodate the change.
The patio view is superb and the tacos 💯
I got the chips and guac - guac was fresh, and had the creamy feel of the avocado and the salsas were spicy and tangy , the chips were crispy and the little sprinkle of salt made all the difference
The fish taco has fried fish and the taco was a great crunchy one with the spicy and crispy feels
The shrimp taco is a little warm taco with grilled shrimp and a little mellow sauces .
Overall good food and view 👍🏽”

“Stopped in this mall tired in the evening on a long drive, desparately in need of a coffee. I happened to meet the owner Sherri as they were wrapping up for the day. She could have said no, we're closing, we're all out of coffee, but she made me the LAST cup of coffee in the entire mall at any restaurant inside, and dressed up with cream and sugar exactly how I asked. She gave me a free sample of her cookies while waiting, said it will be 2.95 for the coffee. I handed her my credit card and said PLEASE charge me extra for your fantastic service and hospitality, I don't have cash for the tip jar right now, at least charge 7 or 8 bucks if Starbucks wants that much!

...She refused to take any extra of my money above the $3. And that cookie was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had in my life. Thank you so much Sherri! “I stumbled onto this spot while on a work trip. It was lunch time and I was in the mood for a nice sandwich. So I decided to give this place a try. Right when I walked in I noticed how clean the place was, which I appreciate greatly. They had just opened so I was the only customer. I placed my ordered at the counter. Their menu has so many great sounding sandwiches. But I decided to go the REO Speedwagon and a side house salad. Along with an iced tea. I sat down at a booth and my food arrived shortly after. The sandwich had a nice helping of quality meats, fresh produce and the sour dough bread was perfection. The salad was also very good and the perfect size. Overall everything tasted great and at a reasonable price. The staff were all friendly and provided prompt service. I will definitely come here again when I’m in the area.”

“El Toro Bravo was closed for 391 days following a Christmas Day gas explosion, that destroyed the apartment attached to the back of the restaurant. Luckily no one was seriously hurt!

We are so blessed to have El Toro Bravo back. The same great menu and warm friendly staff. I got the tacolotta and my wife enjoyed some taquitos. The sweet enchiladas sauce will entice you to eat the whole thing (pro tip ask for a to go box so you can save some)

The food is great and we ran into a lot of people we know so a fun dinner spot that you should leave full and happy”
