“My friend and I had breakfast at Evarits’s Comal this morning and it was FABULOUS! My veggie eggs Benedict was perfectly cooked, with one of the best hollandaise sauces I’ve ever tasted. The fruit accompaniment was delicious and fresh. Service was on point. I even got serenaded and served a yummy dessert when they found out it was my birthday. I wholly recommend this excellent restaurant!”

A good bagel lox/gravlax/smoked salmon and cream cheese combo is one of my favorite breakfast foods and La Marea did not disappoint with the Scandi. One of the best I’ve had. The crunch of the sourdough bagel (with caraway dill) really brought it home. The pistachio latte was a perfect balance of flavor and not overly sweet like you get at a ⭐🦌. I may need to grab a slice of their pizza before we head out.”

What a wonderful dining experience! The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish we tried was beautifully prepared, and the portions were generous. The owners were friendly, welcoming, and attentive without being overwhelming. I had a special request that was not on the menu and the chef whipped it up for me and it was delicious.

If you love Thai food, this is definitely a place you’ll want to try. It’s easily one of the best Thai restaurants in the Capitola area is My Thai Beach, and we will definitely be coming back!”

“Okay guys it may not look like your next date night based on the outside but I promise this place has the best Vietnamese food in Santa Cruz. Their chicken vermicelli bowl is always my go to - it’s so yummy, fresh, satisfying, and always hits the spot. Their soups are authentic and the spicy beef broth is actually spicy. Get the chicken banh mi if you like delicious things because I’m pretty sure they make the bread fresh and their chicken is the best meat they have. Food comes out quick but there are limited tables available. Don’t forget to get a boba on the way out :)”

“We sat at the corner table outside with views of everything and had a great dinner. Started with custom martinis and oysters. The special grilled oysters with butter and lime were delicious. Then split a small Caesar salad and finally shrimp and grits for me and branzino and grits for him. All very good. Service was great too. Not an inexpensive dinner but well worth it. “Stopped in this mall tired in the evening on a long drive, desparately in need of a coffee. I happened to meet the owner Sherri as they were wrapping up for the day. She could have said no, we're closing, we're all out of coffee, but she made me the LAST cup of coffee in the entire mall at any restaurant inside, and dressed up with cream and sugar exactly how I asked. She gave me a free sample of her cookies while waiting, said it will be 2.95 for the coffee. I handed her my credit card and said PLEASE charge me extra for your fantastic service and hospitality, I don't have cash for the tip jar right now, at least charge 7 or 8 bucks if Starbucks wants that much!

...She refused to take any extra of my money above the $3. And that cookie was the best chocolate chip cookie I've ever had in my life. Thank you so much Sherri! Your cookies, coffee, and hospitality and friendliness to a stranger are all world-class. I would come back every single day if I could.”
