“I'm not quite sure what all the hype is about. Don't get me wrong, it was "good" but a 4.8 rating? Maybe I'm just spoiled by L.A. tacos. The fish tacos were good. The tuna cevice was not the best quality tuna which made it just "okay" - YMMV“

“We came here for lunch and had a nice meal. We ordered the camarón con pulpo seafood cocktail, mole de pollo, carnitas, and molcajete. Our favorite dish was the camarón con pulpo seafood cocktail, and we thought the mole was delicious too. The service was great, and we would definitely come back again if we’re back in Seaside!“

“Great food! Excellent service! Lovely decor! The oysters are really plump and good! The chicken was delicious! The waitress and other staff were very attentative, always asking if we were okay and topping off our waters and clearing the table. The prices are very reasonable considering how busy the restaurant is. We got there right at opening hours, so there was a line out front, but we got a table, no problem. It can get a little loud in there, but we sat next to a table of ten, so it might not be normally overwhelming.I would say reservations are recommended.“

“We enjoyed the new interior atmosphere of The Covey. It's softer, warmer and more inviting. Our party of four enjoyed beet and Caesar salads, pastas and the classic hamburger. Our waiter was terrific- he treated us with the professional familiarity appreciated in a club (we are Quail members).“
“This place is in the Embassy Suites- that’s important for info on atmosphere and finding it! Really nice ambiance- we ended up here as it was the only place open past nine and we had just gotten into town and needed dinner and drinks and got both here with very friendly service. You can sit away from the bar area if the hotel bar is hoppin’.Limited menu- but totally sufficient and nice representation of local produce.Parking: Says paid parking only- we are t hotel guests so hoping for the best ?“

“I decided to try this restaurant after receiving an ad flyer in the mail and then reading some reviews online. The food and service were excellent. I had one pound of Cajun medium spicy shrimp, French fries, coleslaw, and two pieces of corn on the cob. Everything was fantastic.“

“We got lost looking for a different restaurant and ended up coming to this one. We were not disappointed. Excellent service, they checked on us frequently and were flexible with out order, super nice too. The food was great, portions were great, hot when it came, and tasted amazing. The place is also huge!“

“I spend a lot of time on freeways all around central CA and it's good to know a spot you can hit for some great food. I might have been the only person in the building who spoke English. It looked like a ma and pa operation, with Ma running the front and Pa cooking in the back. Good, good food. I had a shrimp cocktail and it was yummy, the kind where you eat the shrimp and when no one is looking you slurp the sauce. I also had 2 carne asada tacos which were delicious and it made a great lunch. It was weird that they have a lot of pictures of their dishes on the wall and some of them have prices and others don't.“

“The food was ok, but we probably won’t go back. We come to the area multiple times a year and try to go to more local places and this came up on our search for clam chowder not on Fisherman’s Wharf. My husband said the chowder was so-so, but the fish and chips were fantastic. The fries were good. I had the alfredo and that was pretty delicious but the garlic bread was a huge let down, kind of tasted old and gummy. Also my daughter also got Alfredo but hers looked and tasted much different than mine, which is odd. The restaurant itself could probably fit 5-10 more tables comfortably, and because it was so sparse it kind of feels off-putting, I guess, and there was only one table that could sit our family of 6. It was also very affordable, but the menu stated they charge for water, which is odd. They also charge for use of a credit card. Food took a little longer than normal to get to us, and there was only one waitress so service was a bit slow. I watched five people walk in and leave because they didn’t want to wait to be seated. Another party got up and grabbed their own menus. So, I don’t know if we’ll go back. It’s a hard maybe. The things that weren’t good, like the garlic bread, is a big deal. But that’s the cheapest meal I think we’ve ever had in the area so maybe we’ll go back and try other things and give it another shot. Not sure yet.“

“If you are visiting the area, this is a must stop place. It is my favorite restaurant in the county. Every ingredient in every dish is intentionally used, there are no lazily picked side dishes here. The small restaurant is very charming and half of their seating is outside, well covered and heated nicely. Make sure to make a reservation!“
