“Delicious brunch and cocktails with attentive service. We had the eggs fungi and polenta with shrimp, both of which I recommend. The eggs, kale, mushrooms, and pistachio pesto were perfectly melded in the eggs fungi. The polenta is a great option for big eaters; we could not finish it. Cocktails (Bitterino Highball and Bloody Maria) were balanced and paired nicely with our brunch plates. Service was solid.”

Reyes Market is an essential Carpinteria institution. I had a SUPERB Bean, Rice, and Cheese Burrito here yesterday-the definition of a perfect, comforting burrito.

As a vegetarian, finding an establishment that maintains traditional, high-quality standards for authentic Mexican food while successfully meeting dietary needs (specifically, offering lard-free beans) can be a major challenge. Reyes Market excels at this balancing act.

The service is always friendly, the food is authentic, and their ability to successfully cater to both the local Latino community and specific dietary preferences truly sets them apart.

“Now this is a gem! Small family run Thai restaurant in Carpinteria. We came in for dinner with voracious appetites after an evening at the beach. Everything was cooked with care to perfection. We had the Tom Kha soup and the Laarb followed my Pad See eew and Drunken Noodles. The flavors and spice were perfectly balanced. Would definitely Do Over !!!”

Food is very traditional Italian and if I could do 4.5 stars I would. Atmosphere is decent, a subtle mix between mimicking an Italian street restaurant and a suburban shopping mall… plastic toss away cups should definitely be replaced with actual glassware. I’d eat there again if in the area.”

I ordered the Hibiscus cold brew, the carmelised onion and goat cheese quiche, and the banana bread. “Dang Burger is in downtown Carpinteria, CA. They share space with the Sunburst Wine Bar. I knew I had to check this place out since every time we drove by, the patio was packed. I did check it out and that burger sure is a dang delicious burger.

When you walk into the building, Dang 's ordering counter is to the left. Staff are super helpful. Awesome attitudes. Sunburst Wine Bar is to the right. The outdoor patio is for all customers to use.

All the burger patties are 3 oz patties of grass feed beef with the cattle carrot feed. That's what the menu stated. I don't know if feeding the cattle carrots makes the meat taste sweeter and more tender. But I do know the burger was delicious. The burger cost $9, not a normal price I would like to pay for a minimalist burger with a 3oz patty. The menu options are not large. They have a few burger choices $9-$14, a black bean burger (vegan) $14, uncured hot dog $6, salad $10, boiled peanuts $3, chocolate chip cookies $2, and fries $4-$6 that comes in two sizes and two cooking methods. Both method involves hand pressed fries. Then one involves deep frying twice in tallow; and the other is a vegan version. I had the non vegan version. Mmm. As I ate them, I had no clue how they were prepared. Delicious though. But I'll go with the vegan version next time.”

“I was in town for several days and every time we drove down Carpinteria Avenue, we noticed this particular corner eatery patio was packed throughout the day and night. Adults and kiddos out there eating and drinking. I made a mental note to myself to check 'em out. That I did ... I went there for lunch.

They share a shopfront with Dang's burgers. Walk into the building and smack to the left is the Dang's burger ordering counter. To the right is Sunburst Wine Bar. The bar has a bar counter and chairs. The interior look is modern, unpretentious casual. Bright with lots of natural light. But if you're looking for a TV, they don't have any. The vibe is chill, unpretentious, welcoming, and family friendly. Family friendly bar?!? No, kids aren't allowed at the counter but are allowed on the outside patio and well as leashed dogs. The patio seating is tables and bench seating.

The bar menu has draft beers, local wines. and canned drinks. They have flights. While partaking in a drink at the bar, you can even eat your Dang's food at the bar as well. The bartender was engaging with a great attitude.”

Well we got married on the beach June 4th, and the cake far exceeded our expectations. It was beautiful and delicious! We also got gluten free and vegan cupcakes which were fantastic as well!”

“After going to this incredible Italian restaurant, I will never go anywhere else for Italian food. It’s magical! We always try to get a table on the Patio, it makes you feel like you’re in an enchanted chateau. We’ve tried many of the entrees, and although some are more enticing to us than others, none have disappointed! All the food is amazing. To top it all off, the staff is friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and welcoming. If you’re looking for great food with a great staff, go to Gianfranco’s Trattoria!!!”

“Tacos (we had asada) were good street tacos packed with meat! Quality onions to go with the cilantro and limes. Salsas (all 3) were really good too! Fresh chips not store bought were tasty. We waited about 7 to 10 minutes for our order but it was hot and good. Worth it especially after not being able to get good authentic Mexican food for a couple of months. They didnt have a lot of choices on the menu but what they had they do well. We will be back for sure. Everything was fresh. Be careful not to wait in one line like we did. The ice cream shop on the left side had a long line. Be sure to go in the door and to the right to order food. enjoy!”
