“We found this hidden gem and was blown away by the delicious flavors and options. We love Peruvian food and decided to try a new spot. Guess we lucked out! We ordered Tallarin a la huancaina con Lomo Salvador, chupe de pescado, chaufa de Pollo, Yuca frita, and vaso de maracuya“

“This is our first time in this restaurant and we are very pleased. First approached by a gentleman guiding my family and me making us feel so welcomed. Betty was very nice, kind, respectful , and very professional on her job. “Amazing hidden mom & pop gem in Downey!
First time having Peruvian food and it did not disappoint! Cute, clean atmosphere - the owner was nice enough to chat with us and introduce us to some menu items.
Highly recommend the Ceviche Mixto to start, and the Lomo Saltado to share all around. We also got the Tallarín Verde con Pechuga which was a cleaner dish. I recommend the Maracuya (passion fruit) drink.
For dessert, I loved the Lucuma fruit based ice cream which kinda had a light but sweet maple-butterscotch flavor.

“Amazing Menu. The food melts in your mouth. Every bite I took was WOW! I had the Peruvian Ceviche, Parmesan scallops, tiger scallops and the Bluefin Tuna antiucho was so good I order 2 more orders of it. YUM. As a Peruvian a myself I totally recommend Akashiro. Will definitely come back and bring friends and family with me. Viva el Peru! 🇵🇪“

“This is my favorite and the best Peruvian restaurant ever!! Me and my family have been coming here for 17yrs and we love it! The food is so delicious and you can tell he makes it with so much love! Everything tastes fresh and the owner is the cook and the server he’s so nice and attentive and cooks amazing! I will continue to recommend this place to my friends and family. The anticicho is the best and the rachi con papa is to die for!“

“I’ve been coming here since I can remember. At least 10 years by now. Their food is always consistent and delicious and priced well. My family’s order is a full chicken, fries, and arroz chauffa. The chicken is always tender and juicy and has great flavor, but my favorite is the arroz con chauffa. I think it’s genuinely my favorite food ever. period. I could eat it every day and not get tired of it 11/10. Now, we usually order take out because the inside is kind of small and we like to share with our friends and family (who also love it) so keep that in mind if you’re thinking of eating inside. I would recommend this place to everyone, as there’s something for everyone on the menu!“
