“Holy cow that was a good burger! I had a bacon burger and my spouse had the mushroom. We split both burgers and they were both excellent! The mushroom, though, was definitely my favorite of the two.

The fries were great, the house sauce was great (I got the spicy) but the reason we'll be back is for the burger.

“Another EXCELLENT taco truck! Tacos are amazing and inexpensive. I love their al pastor, my wife loves the carne asada, and our daughter swears by the bean,cheese and rice burritos. They're open later than my usual taco truck ( tacos el tapatio) and the service is outstanding, another group of ladies who know their way around the kitchen! Almost forgot! Great selection of soft drinks (Mexican Coca-Cola, Jarritos, manzana del sol, etc)”

“Kind of sad when a business faith is dictated by reviews dating years and years ago. Kind of like herpes, if I may, they never seem to disappear, specially when said reviews are detrimental and no longer apply to the present.
Finally I went to this poorly rated establishment for their Taco Tuesday Special at $1.25 each.
I should add that previously someone brought to our place the Monday Special, Burger night, which at this day and age must admit was unbeatable and rather tasty. The kind of special that defies all odds. Also, previously as well had their Wednesday Chicken Wings Special. That one, sadly, a fiasco. Super dry wings, devoid of all appeal, but for the money the quantity was decent.
Anywho, Tackle Box simply rocks, and from the looks it distinguished itself as a truly unique scene. Staff reeked of good manners and friendly demeanor, which I must confess, truly appreciate. The shower singer in me wanted to get up on their stage and make a fool out of myself. The square footage truly mind altering, and the one question nagging me was: why the few and not so good comments? The bar alone is quite a sight!
Tacos: small but loaded, easy to devour but please no less than 6, or will wish it had been. Salsa, meats, sauce, not shabby at all. Staff, as happily mentioned, nice as can be. Restroom particularly clean and originally decorated. Heard Happy Hour beers run for $4 a piece? If so, it would take quite a few to tune ? up.
I thank the good man that drove us there. Karaoke Night Sundays? Buzzed enough I see no reason why I would not make a fool out of myself, God knows over the years I repeatedly have in good fun. Johnny Rivers “Poor Side of Town” seems about right. Tackle Box is an original, and from what I heard, the ownership which dates back and crew deserve plenty of recognition. 1 star 6 years ago, 10?

“This is our go-to spot whenever we find ourselves traveling through Chico. Our favs are the asada salad, albondigas, and Super Molcajete. The steak on the asada salad is SO tasty, all you need is a little lime juice for dressing. Light, filling, and delicious. Their 'hot' salsa is delicious, and they have really good, creamy flan and tasty micheladas! The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We have taken a large group of people twice, and both times they exceeded expectations.”

“Last night was the fifth of my last five wedding anniversaries that we spent eating at the Rawbar Restaurant. The recent expansion was done in a phenomenal way to provide two different dining experiences whereas the new “”lounge with about 10 doubles is really nice for an intimate dining experience. As for the food, OMG! Flavors you recognize but don’t typically prepare, awesome sushi and sashimi. I am partial to simple dishes like a Gilroy roll, California roll and the like. These were on the menu deep fried and again, OMG! The staff was awesome, and management has adapted to a much larger capacity with minimal, if any, disruption in service. Aside from frequent drop ins to the Rawbar, I have plans already to keep the tradition on our anniversary. See you on #39 on Sept, 6, 2026!”

Not the most mind-blowing bowl of phở, (coming from the San José area as we were) but there’s no such thing as a bad bowl of phở, & we appreciated having the option for a hot, fresh-made bowl so close to campus & downtown during our visit! It's no frills counter service, with a large dining room, and open kitchen. I appreciate being able to see the clean kitchen & prep area with my own eyes. I ordered a grilled chicken salad - it was huge, overflowing with tons of fresh toppings. The staff was hustling through a rush, and yet they were all so attentive and nice. CJ's is a Pepsi establishment, which makes my Diet Coke loving heart a little sad... but the food more than makes up for it. Now I need to time my storage unit runs around lunch hour so I can work my way through the menu! A burger will be next :)”

May have just been a one off experience but not a good feeling or first impression.”

“Nash's Restaurant Review I haven't been to Nash's in years, it was always a place where you could get a satisfying dish of food with a nice atmosphere. On this day, Nash's was hopping and busy with every table filled with happy customers. The wait was not long to be seated, once I received my menu with a 4 min wait my order was taken, in no time my plate arrived. My waitress Amy, was friendly and had a patient personality and excellent interpersonal skills, responded to all my questions about the breakfast menu. I ordered the half plate of Carnitas Benedict, that came with one poached egg on an English muffin with carnitas, avocado and dice tomatoes, all topped off with their delicious house verde sauce with a bit of cilantro, my choice of side was their hash browns, in my opinion "The Best Hash Browns In Chico" Nash's was just like I remember, really good food with a great staff. I highly recommend you stop in for a bite to eat and try the Carnitas Benedict Breakfast. I will definitely be visiting Nash's more often. All in all I'll give that visit a 5 Star Rating.”

We went in and experienced great high quality service from the staff start to finish. The food…amazing. The best plating and overall presentation hands down in Chico. This quality was also present in every meal we had. The crab, chicken, duck, and salmon were all top notch and extremely unique to any place in Chico. Not to mention there desert is crazy good. “Okay it’s an Applebee’s so my expectations were moderate. I had looked at the menu online so I could opt for light options as I wasn’t super hungry but meeting others for dinner. My companion and I chose the $36 special for two. I took the salmon and he took the chicken. The other two took the same special with one also trying the chicken and one the steak. For our appetizer we chose caesar salad with dressing on the side. They chose the onion rings.
First off the salmon and chicken were delicious and we left feeling like we scored eating healthy meals! Our dining companions let us sample the onion rings and they were AWESOME! Truly some of the best because they were hot and crisp! We held ourselves to one as they are caloric as heck!
All food except the steak was delicious. The steak was sent back and a better one received in about 10 minutes and it was good!
Good service. Good margaritas and quiet for a Friday post happy hour!

Store bought chips with no seasoning, cheese was way down in the pile of chips, salsa was so much, I’m so disappointed as I buy food from them at least once a week and have enjoyed everything I’ve ordered so far except for the nachos I got today. I had 4 bits and threw the rest away. 🥺”
