“Family-owned, very small, tucked secretly inside a tiny strip mall, behind a staircase, in the dark corner. Surprisingly busy when we arrived in a mid-Sunday afternoon! Not the most mind-blowing bowl of phở, (coming from the San José area as we were) but there’s no such thing as a bad bowl of phở, & we appreciated having the option for a hot, fresh-made bowl so close to campus & downtown during our visit! Tiny menu—just the usual typical phở options, & 2 choices of bánh mỳ, at extremely reasonable prices. Friendly service from the family. Cảm ơn nhiều!!“

“We visited for the first time on Mother’s Day. LOVE that they take reservations and we were able to choose between dining room or patio. There was a DJ and the moms in our party were given fresh cut roses. Our hostess was very knowledgeable and arranged a special mocktail for my sister who is nursing. Portions were very generous, everything was tasty, great value and experience. This will be our new tradition.“

“They have really really good food but the sound management is incredibly bad and the noise is very harsh on the ears. The clattery kitchen noises come through very loud and clear, voices bounce around super loudly, and the music can barely compete. Way too loud even when they're slow. They really need some sound dampening tiles. The back room is slightly better noise-wise, but the tables fill up fast“

After the first bite, I automatically could tell that they use fresh ingredients on their pizza. The price is super affordable and they don't charge extra for additional toppings. “Last night was the fifth of my last five wedding anniversaries that we spent eating at the Rawbar Restaurant. The recent expansion was done in a phenomenal way to provide two different dining experiences whereas the new “”lounge with about 10 doubles is really nice for an intimate dining experience. As for the food, OMG! Flavors you recognize but don’t typically prepare, awesome sushi and sashimi. I am partial to simple dishes like a Gilroy roll, California roll and the like. These were on the menu deep fried and again, OMG! The staff was awesome, and management has adapted to a much larger capacity with minimal, if any, disruption in service. Aside from frequent drop ins to the Rawbar, I have plans already to keep the tradition on our anniversary. See you on #39 on Sept, 6, 2026!“

“I did not eat here. At my work we have a group of about 10 trainees who stopped at the bus station near this place. We had a 15 minute break. Almost all of my co workers went in and used the bathroom. I thought it was pretty rude because no one ordered food. But the guy was super nice and didn’t say anything. The food smelled good. If I had more time I would have for sure bought some. Next time I’m around Chico I will for sure“
