“Yummy fresh healthy scrumptious mouthwatering dense fluffy flaky buttery sweet morsel teeth sharpening tongue lapping are just some of the word’s adjectives that I would use to describe peninsula pastries. You don’t stay in business for 23 years by being average. So above average quality baked goods that will make you return time after time. Great customer service as well and more importantly you can place specialty orders or simply be surprised by what treats you may discover on any given day.“

“Delicious tamales and very affordable! The lady was very nice and accommodated my large order. We came from San Francisco to visit family nearby and they were hot and fresh when picked up. Would highly recommend to those looking for a spot for tamales in general. We even took some masa back home, everything was good quality.“

“3 Hermanos provided lunch for this years volunteers at California Roots. The burritos were delicious and they were so kind to make accomodations for our volunteers with dietary restrictions too! Providing for the volunteers is so special and means the world to us. Highly recommend if you want yummy food and kind hearts.“
“First time ordering from Cake Express and they did not disappoint. I was a walk in customer,I went in Staff was friendly and right away welcomed me in.I asked them if they could make a cake with a pic. for Sat.this was a Frid.1 day before the party. So I was hoping they didn't say it was not enough notice of time however got the opposite they quickly said sure what kind would you like! Results were amazing my daughter's photo looked amazing and the cake was yummy everyone enjoyed it and not to pricey either.“
“One of THE best bakeries in Salinas. Every cake we've ordered from here has gone abive and beyond our expectations. Our last cake we ordered was a moon cake in which we were expecting something pretty simple. Well the gal that runs the place did a frosting painting of a night sky with moon on it. Looked way better than what we were thinking about to begin with. (We were alsp pretty vague when we ordered and literally just said "moon cake") All I was expecting was a grey cake with some black circles, instead I get a Monalisa moon cake. Put far more effort than we ever expected. And the cake is incredible by the way. Frosting so soft its hard to even feel it. Best cakes and this is for sure our main bakery both for aready and going forward.“

“I was able to special order a Lemon Meringue pie and it was the best! It's hard to find a local bakery that makes lemon meringue pies. The crust was flaky, the lemon curd filling was not too tart, and the meringue was perfection! Everyone really enjoyed it! Thank you for doing special orders that are not listed on your regular menu.“

“A very busy place and of course it is good to have a warm drink and a delicious bread very early.
And I think that even the taste is more demanding, there is something to enjoy early and the lady who served me is attentive, a good place.“

“We were redirected to the 101 due to the shutdown of the PCH and stopped for lunch in Gonzales, a very unlikely place for tourists to err... So we ended up in La Plaza bakery for a lunch made of perfectly executed burritos, tacos and tortas, a very helpful staff, delicious bakeries as dessert, all for a very reasonable price, which is always a good suprise in the usually overpriced state of CA. Well done La Plaza and keep up the great work!“

“Pulled over here completely by chance for lunch and was the luckiest thing that happened to me in months. The tacos were the best I have had in my life. They got our order slightly wrong once but it was still great because whatever you order there, you will be impressed, and they gave us an extra taco for the error. Turned out they were closing and they locked up right after we left but didn't even mention it to us after we repeatedly ordered more tacos because of how amazing they were. Tacos and pastries were super affordable and way too delicious. Whole place was extremely clean and they had an amazing, clean bathroom. Worth a detour.“
