“OMG 😳 The Ceviche (not counting my wife’s handmade ceviche) is the best I have ever tasted, and I’ve tasted a lot of ceviche. It’s soooo good. I had the Mango 🥭 Avocado 🥑 Shrimp 🍤 Ceviche it was like an explosion of flavors in my mouth, I couldn’t stop eating it. Great tacos 🌮 everything was beyond my expectations. I have probably walked by Puesto’s a hundred times but not anymore it will be my restaurant of choice when in Concord you have to try it. Sorry no picture of the Ceviche 😋“

“We just started going here on a whim and we've been twice now. Service and food are consistently very good. I appreciate the consistency. The shrimp tacos are excellent, their carnitas are almost as good as mine 😉, and we reeeeaaaly like the flavors of their salsas maybe a little more spice for my husband (he likes a sauce to punish him!). Its our new favorite!“

“It's a great place for Mexican food and the service is great. Me and some friends go to the library to study and get work done and Taco & Co. comes in clutch. They have a great selection, but there one problem. The price. For 3.50 a taco is insane, if the price was a but lower then I could see the place booming. But everything else is great and I would recommend.“

“Excellent authentic Mexican dishes with menu items for the more California Mexican pallet. Very reasonably priced. It can be a bit spicy but some dishes can be adjusted. Excellent flavors and good sized portions make it a great value. Looking forward to coming back and trying different dishes!“

“The family atmosphere is what hooked us. We used to go here maybe once or twice a month before the pandemic. Since they reopened, they are closed on Monday’s, our usual day so it’s been 3 years since we’ve been there. They still recognized us though! We ordered as we walked in so the wait wasn’t long at all.“

“I’ve been coming here for the last 7 years and their food is consistently delicious and portions are huge. Our go to is their chimichanga, flautas and al pastor tacos. The fish tacos are my parents go to whenever they come up from LA. They’re always a hit! The service is always fast and courteous. I’m also always impressed with how clean it is! Highly recommend.“

“My wife and I get tacos here every Wednesday. Yes a day late but we can't help but love it. Ashley the hostess is absolutely wonderful. She is kind, knowledgeable and makes our experience special every time. This restaurant is family owned and operated and that is what makes it so great. “I drive to the Concord location from Antioch because I don’t feel safe walking dogs or running errands in Antioch. I tried several other restaurants for burritos before settling here. Great chili verde burritos, always hot, fresh, pinto beans upon request, really nice people. Cinco sells enchilada sauce for people like me who like to make a tray of enchiladas at home to eat for a couple of fays. Reasonably priced.“

Everything is all good, but some of the hostesses working at the register...attituuuude! I’m not an expert in customer service, but a smile and good energy (not like the feeling when they want you to hurry up and order) goes a long way. “We had their burritos at a Convention in Antioch. Though they were severely over priced at $18 each, you expect to get ripped off at conventions. However, this was the most satisfying wallet molestation my son and I have ever experienced. (4 burritos and soda/water...$100). We can't even tell you what specifically makes them so good, just the perfect blends of all. We live an hour away but we are gonna try to find the restaurant and see if they are better priced than the truck. If so, we found our new spot when visiting the East Bay.“

After going back many times, El Faro's in Concord has been consistently excellent. Their chips, salsa, chicken burritos, and service has been flawless. I ordered online, and they were ready for me.

Excellent restaurant, best breakfast burritos I've had in this area, fantastic boiled red sauce chicken (far better than everyone else in this entire region), and fantastic service. Great people and great food.“
